Chapter 13: Werewolf Blood

Chapter 13: Werewolf Blood

Mar 15, 2026

“What!?” Eryk yelled, “No! I won't kill you, please don't ask me to do that.”

The vampire scrambled away across the room, once again putting as much distance between the two of them as possible. Eryk felt his heart rate increase as fear swept through him. Kyle's words had shocked him, but what was even scarier was the huge part of himself that wanted to immediately comply and drain the werewolf dry. It was if Kyle's words had opened the floodgates to his inner desire and it took all his willpower to hold back.

Just kill him. Just do it. Just drink all his blood. Just kill him. The words repeated in his head, a steady mantra that Eryk found difficult to ignore.

Kyle shook his head, “That's not what I'm saying.”

“Then what?” Eryk asked, his eyebrows furrowed in distrust.

As he tried to calm himself down, Eryk realised that it wouldn't make sense for the werewolf to ask him to kill him. Not when he had just spoken about how much he wanted to protect his pack. Eryk had let his panic get the best of him and so he tried to steady his breathing, blocking out the voice within him that begged him to sate his thirst.

“You don't need to kill me, just take enough blood to unlock your vampire strength so you can break these chains.” Kyle said, grinning.

Eryk's pretty mouth parted as his jaw dropped.

“Huh?” He said in surprise, “I don't know if that will work.”

“Why not?” Kyle said, smiling so hard his cheeks hurt, “Don't vampires do it all the time? You even said so yourself.”

“They keep someone around to feed on them, but never take enough blood to kill them.” He continued.

Eryk nodded, “Yeah, but they would have already made their first kill and wouldn't need to kill to feed anymore after that.”

Kyle grinned, “But you're different. You said you didn't turn into a vampire but you were born as one.”

“Maybe a bit of blood is just what you need to unlock your powers, maybe you don't need to kill anyone.” The werewolf said, his honey brown eyes glowing with hope in the dim dungeon.

Eryk stopped and stared at the werewolf in front of him, shocked and confused by his words. Kyle's reasoning was extremely optimistic and highly improbable, but the way the werewolf's eyes were bright with excitement had Eryk feeling like he might be right. Maybe he did just need a little of the werewolf's blood.

After all Eryk had no way of knowing if it would work, having never drank from any person before, human or not. His very existence already went against the basic fundamentals of what made a vampire what it was. So it wasn't too much of a stretch to think that maybe unlocking his powers would go against the norm too.

If this works, if I am able to awaken my abilities with just a bit of his blood... Hope was a horrible thing and Eryk tried to keep it out of his heart, lest it rip him to shreds.

“But still... You want me to bite you?” He didn't understand how the werewolf had just offered himself up so easily.

I want you to do more than just bite me actually, Kyle thought silently.

“If it's what we need to get out of here, then I will do whatever I can.” Kyle said holding out his hands and gesturing for Eryk to come closer.

“Come on,” He said, “What's the worst that could happen?”

“I take too much of your blood and you die?” Eryk replied fearfully, his forehead scrunched as his maroon eyes fixed on Kyle.

I don't want to kill him, Eryk thought, I don't want anyone to die because of me, especially not him.

The vampire was terrified that once he bit into Kyle and started drinking his blood, that he wouldn't be able to stop himself. That he wouldn't want to stop.

“I won't let that happen,” Kyle said determinedly, gently coaxing the vampire towards him, “I promise to stop you if I feel like you've taken too much.”

Eryk sighed, resigned, and made his way across the room. He stood in front of him, gazing down at the werewolf, feeling himself hesitating as he looked into Kyle's honey brown eyes that seemed all too warm for a place like this. The werewolf himself felt too warm for this place, and to Eryk he seemed like a bright warm light within the dim cold dungeon.

“Come on,” Kyle said again, reaching up and lightly grabbing hold of his wrist, “We won't know unless we try.”

“Okay.” Eryk nodded.

He nodded a second time, more so for himself, as a way to convince himself that he would be able to hold back. Despite the fear tearing him apart and the voice still telling him to kill Kyle, Eryk knew that he had to try. He needed to do something, or he would resign himself to forever being nothing at all to anyone.

More than anything he wanted to prove to himself that Heinrich was wrong, that he wasn't just a weak coward. He needed to become strong, in any way he could be.

“Sit down,” Kyle said, “I can't stand, not with these chains holding me down.”

Eryk nodded and sat down.

Right on Kyle's lap.

Kyle closed his eyes and inhaled sharply as every single hair on his body stood at attention.

Gods this isn't what I meant, but I'm not complaining, he thought.

Eryk adjusted himself and Kyle's eyes snapped open, feeling like his heart would burst right out of his chest.

The vampire looked so much more beautiful from up close, so much so that the werewolf had to remind himself that he wasn't actually looking at one of the gods. Eryk's skin seemed so soft that Kyle wanted nothing more than to melt into him and forget about the whole entire world. His plump lips were a soft pink shade and as the vampire nervously bit at his lower lip, Kyle felt warmth rush in and set his whole body alight.

Eryk slowly reached out and gently caressed his hand down the side of Kyle's neck. He felt the werewolf's pulse flutter beneath his soft touch. The vampire wondered at how hot the werewolf was, he seemed to give off an extreme heat that warmed Eryk down to his very core. It was like touching the sun.

Hot, magnetic, and oh so dangerous.

“I...” Eryk gulped, “I'm going to bite you now.”

The words sent a thrill of excitement down Kyle's spine, and he barely reminded himself to nod in response.

Eryk buried his face in Kyle's neck and inhaled deeply, the crisp woody scent of the werewolf making him heady with desire. Having never fed from anyone before, Eryk wondered if everyone smelled so delicious up close or if it was just the werewolf. Kyle held his breath in anticipation, his brain running wild at the thought of the vampire biting into him.

This is so very dangerous, Eryk thought as he breathed him in.

Kyle felt himself tense as the vampire's breath tickled his neck. His blood was running hot and he had a hard time convincing himself not to grab hold of Eryk's waist and pull him even closer.

Gods, what would it feel like to be with him, Kyle thought as he felt fully surrounded by the vampire's scent and warmth.

Eryk closed his eyes tightly and leaned into Kyle, biting hard into his neck. His teeth sank deep into the werewolf's flesh and he felt Kyle shudder beneath him. Eryk pulled back, removing his teeth from the two small holes that he had punctured into Kyle's neck. The red holes glowed against the werewolf's tan skin, and seemed to almost mock him as if to say See that wasn't so hard, now was it?

“Was that okay?” Eryk asked, worriedly looking into his eyes.

Kyle nodded, barely able to form a coherent thought as he felt himself melting under the vampire's touch.

“Go on.” He gently nudged, his voice husky as he grabbed the back of Eryk's neck and pulled him close.

Eryk felt a blush take over his cheeks as his heartbeat quickened.

What is this feeling, the vampire thought.

He placed his mouth on Kyle's neck, and gently started sucking blood from the small holes he had punctured. The blood was thick, sweet and warm as it went down his throat. Eryk felt warmth blossom in his chest as he was filled with a sensation he had never felt before. He moaned softly against the werewolf's skin and drank the blood down deeper.

Kyle grunted and felt his body fill with a pleasure he had never experienced before. The sensation had completely drowned out the pain he felt from the silver shackles and the huge cut on his side. It was like an addictive drug that promised limitless ecstasy.

Damnit, Kyle thought, this is bad, this is so bad. Why does this feel so damn good?

Eryk's mouth against his neck was getting more aggressive, rapidly sucking blood as the starving vampire satiated his thirst for blood for the first time in his life. None of the animal blood he had drank before could ever compare to this. Kyle wanted him to go on forever but he could feel himself starting to get lightheaded, so he gently tapped Eryk on the shoulder and lightly pushed him away.

Eryk whined in complaint and moved his mouth back to the warm blood gently falling from the werewolf's neck. Kyle grabbed hold of his chin and pulled him up, drawing Eryk's face closer to his own, looking into the vampire's glossy maroon eyes as his face pleaded for more blood.

Kyle felt his pulse quicken and he wanted nothing more than to throw caution out the window and give in to the beautiful vampire and his pleading eyes. A part of him wondered at what it would feel like to die in the vampire's embrace. Kyle thought that it might not be that bad.

“Wait,” Kyle said, his voice husky and breathless, “Any more and I might just pass out.”

Eryk still seemed dazed but nodded as he licked the last drops of blood from his lips. Then he leaned down and licked Kyle's neck clean. The feeling of Eryk's tongue gliding over him sent rivers of fire across Kyle's skin.

“Gods,” Kyle said, “That felt amazing.”

Eryk nodded and rested his head on Kyle's shoulder. His head was pounding and his body was on fire as Kyle's blood coursed through him, igniting his senses in a way he had never felt before.

“Yeah,” Eryk agreed, “Amazing.”
