 “HIDDEN FRACTURES”

 “HIDDEN FRACTURES”

Feb 23, 2026

INT. HERO ACADEMY — DORM ROOM — EARLY MORNING

WEATHER: Pale dawn light. Rain tapping softly on the window.

SOUND: Distant thunder. Dripping water.

MUSIC: Soft piano — uneasy, restrained.

CLOSE UP

Liam’s hands tremble over the sink.

His knuckles are bruised.

Veins faintly glow northern blue, flickering unevenly.

He splashes water on his face.

LIAM (V.O.)

Control it. Breathe.

The glow fades — barely.

A sharp pain shoots through his arm.

He bites back a sound.

INT. DORM ROOM — CONTINUOUS

Luke laces his boots.

Tyler’s half-asleep, scrolling on his phone.

TYLER

Why are you up so early?

Liam quickly pulls on his jacket, hiding his arms.

LIAM

Couldn’t sleep.

Luke glances over.

LUKE

You look worse than after the forest.

Liam shrugs.

LIAM

Long training night.

Luke narrows his eyes — not convinced.

INT. HERO ACADEMY — CLASSROOM — DAY

SOUND: Instructor lecturing. Chalk scratching.

CAMERA — SLOW PUSH IN

Liam sits rigid.

The board flashes diagrams of energy pathways.

INSTRUCTOR (O.S.)

Overextension leads to micro-fractures in power flow—

Liam’s vision blurs.

Northern light pulses beneath his sleeve.

He clenches his fist — forces it down.

TYLER (whispering)

Dude… you okay?

LIAM

Yeah.

A beat.

LIAM (CONT’D)

Just tired.

INT. TRAINING ANNEX — AFTERNOON

WEATHER: Storm clouds outside

SOUND: Heavy impacts. Shouts. Energy bursts.

MUSIC: Faster tempo — pressure building

Luke forms a solid yellow barrier — clean, controlled.

INSTRUCTOR

Good. Hold!

Tyler slams his fists down — earth ripples outward.

TYLER

YES—!

He laughs.

They turn to Liam.

INSTRUCTOR

Speed-type. Demonstrate.

Liam steps forward.

A pause.

LIAM

Gear 8.

Too low.

He moves — clean, but slower than usual.

The instructor frowns.

INSTRUCTOR

You’re capable of more.

Northern light flickers — angry, unstable.

Liam shakes his head.

LIAM

Not today.

Luke watches closely.

INT. LOCKER ROOM — LATER

Steam fills the room.

Tyler laughs, talking about food.

Luke stops Liam as he passes.

LUKE

Show me your arm.

Liam freezes.

LIAM

What?

Luke grabs his sleeve — pulls it back.

NORTHERN LIGHT CRACKS ACROSS LIAM’S ARM LIKE HAIRLINE FRACTURES.

Luke’s eyes widen.

LUKE

Liam… what did you do?

Liam pulls away.

LIAM

It’s fine.

LUKE

That’s not fine.

LIAM

Don’t tell Tyler.

Luke hesitates.

LUKE

Was it a mission?

Liam looks away.

LIAM

No.

Silence.

LUKE (quiet)

Then someone hurt you.

Liam finally meets his eyes.

LIAM

I handled it.

EXT. HERO ACADEMY — ROOFTOP — NIGHT

WEATHER: Rain falling steadily

SOUND: Wind and rain. Distant city hum.

MUSIC: Low, haunting

Liam stands alone in the rain.

Northern light bleeds out of him — uncontrolled.

He drops to one knee.

LIAM (through clenched teeth)

Not now…

He presses his hand to the ground.

The light steadies — barely.

From the shadows behind him —

RIVEN (O.S.)

You’re breaking faster than I thought.

Liam turns — eyes sharp.

LIAM

Leave.

Riven steps into the rain, fractures flashing faint red.

RIVEN

Hide it all you want.

He smirks.

RIVEN (CONT’D)

Your power’s asking a question.

Liam’s glow intensifies.

LIAM

And what’s that?

Riven leans closer.

RIVEN

How much pain are you willing to carry…

before you stop pretending you’re fine?

Lightning flashes.

Meanwhile, over in a dark, abandoned warehouse, flickering lights buzzed overhead as a lone figure stood watch.

A man known only as Purple Eyes stared at an old television mounted high on a concrete wall. Static hissed softly before a distorted voice spoke.

“Sir… Donnie and Wes are in prison. It seems you really underestimated those boys.”

Purple Eyes clenched his fist, his glowing violet eyes narrowing.

“…Hmm. It seems you were right about that.”

The figure on the screen shifted, still hidden in shadow.

“That is exactly why you’re going to kill them.”

Purple Eyes hesitated.

“But sir… I don’t think I’m strong enough.”

There was a pause. Then a low, almost pleased chuckle came from the TV.

“That’s okay. That’s why my master made you something.”

Purple Eyes frowned.

“Something?”

The lights in the warehouse suddenly flickered violently.

“…It’s called the Helix.”

Before Purple Eyes could turn—

Something moved behind him.

The air grew heavy. The sound of slow, wet footsteps echoed across the concrete floor.

Purple Eyes froze, his breath catching in his throat as a massive shadow loomed over him, stretching across the walls.

The television shut off.

And in the darkness, the Helix stood awake. The Helix — Description

In this world, power is not something learned—it is something revealed.

Power is the manifestation of a person’s inner potential, shaped by personality, trauma, will, and bloodline. Some awaken physical strength, others elemental forces, heightened senses, or hybrid abilities. Each power grows through emotion and experience, but all have limits—limits that can break the body, fracture the mind, or erase what makes someone human.

Sixteen-year-olds Liam, Tyler, and Luke live ordinary lives—until a shortcut through the woods leads them to a forgotten cabin and a man they thought was a legend.

Charlie, once known as Justice, is not a monster—but a survivor. He carries a rare Multi-Core Power, a legacy ability that can manifest as speed, strength, awareness, and control. Instead of weapons, he offers the boys inheritance—power passed through blood, at the cost of never being normal again.

When the transfer is complete, their lives change forever.

Liam gains unstable speed that bends space itself.
Tyler awakens overwhelming physical force tied to the ground beneath him.
Luke develops heightened perception—able to sense danger before it strikes.

As they train in secret, learning restraint instead of dominance, the truth becomes clear: others like Charlie exist—and not all of them are heroes. Some gave their power to the wrong people. Some became the threat they were meant to stop.

Now the boys must learn to live normal lives while carrying something very not normal—because power doesn’t make you special.

It reveals who you already are.
