From the beginning.....
No....from the start of light in the desolate endless void, to the very first human.
There was something that was born along with them.
Thoughts, emotions and minds, were skillfully weaved within the flesh they bore.
Once pure and sacred, thier minds slowly tainted their souls till, it was far to late.
Sin was born.
Humans weren't inherently sinful and yet they are. Sin, evil and distrust were made from certain minds that certain humans possessed, and so they grew and increased.
They evolved, built and gained a trait no other being could handle like they did.
Adaptation.
It was engraved in their souls along with the sins they cherished.
Their sins majorly propelled them to growth and evolution, but in their very nature bore sins that would always stall their growth.
Several continents, nations and cities were born. From the United Nations Alliance, to Asia, Antarctica, South America, North America, Africa and many more.
But, each human is different, and greed found it's way in through several ways. And one of them was war....
Everything came crashing down in the first world war. It was devastating, blood soaking the earth and screams and cries echoing in the air.
It was devastating. The moment one ended, another began.
The loop was endless, killings and betrayals one after the other. It all would have ended if not for the final lifeline of humanity.
The treaty.
Borders were fragile, but peace though fragile was the only way to survive, the wars ended. Each nation grew with the help of each other.
And for once after the desolate darkness of war. Growth and peace finally settled.
But, the aftermaths of the war couldn't just have been erased with just a treaty.
How could mere sentences change in fate.
They had invited something else into their world.
Followed by certain signs, they were numerous, but the most notable were;
The blood Rain
The strange plagues and certain disappearances.
The terrifying signs were on a different scale, the first was the appearance of certain symbols in the sky, which meant.
A new era will begin
That message was just the start, fear crept into every nation's heart, as the second sign appeared. A gate, a large door which like it had been forged by a god.
Towering large and endlessly in the sky. It was terrifying to just be near it, but still, their sinful minds bore certain ideas. Not if a way to stop it, but to weaponize it against each other.....
That was enough to sow the seed of doubt, one that left most of it in ruins.
Several other gate emerged. And things only classifiable as horrors plunge their world into hell. Nightmares in form of flesh, tearing up and devouring souls. Mundane weapons had no effect on them.
In that desolate darkness, hope sprouted.
Then and there....the only hope of humanity's survival returned.
About a quarter of the population who vanished returned, but they were no longer normal humans.
But beings identified as Awakeneds.
They were the only ones who were able to repel the nightmares in their world. And after years of suffering and terror.
They were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. Almost all the monsters were gone, but their world was no longer the same.
The parts of the world that were destroyed by the gates and spawns were covered in inconceivable darkness, and the being that had brought everything to their world stayed.
They were no longer alone, because.....it decided to stay. The being that would judge them of their sins.
An unseen but ever watching being. A judge with abilities rivaling gods. But after witnessing all the horrors it brought. No such being as a god responded.
They lost hope in divinity, because of the single sentence engraved by the nightmares.
The gods were all dead. All that's left was their judge.....
The Hex
Even with this New being watching them, humans could never really escape the clutches of sin. They used all sorts of means to use the Awakened for their own well being. And then, more things arrived.
Things unrecognisable happened all of the world, and only the awakened and certain individuals knew of a chilling fact others ignored.
The true fight.....had never begun.
---
A certain question was asked..
Why does judgement exist?
Who was humanity's judge?
The Hex. Or some no existent sentence, whispered into the sea of silence.
And was there anything like a hero in that desecrated world.
No body answered.
Not the world. Or the Hex.
He whispered something before vanishing into nothingness.
‡ How pitiful.
Humanity was to be judged, but yet from their flesh, a judge was born.
And yet, he was asked to shoulder their sins.
Who could save that pitiful soul?
