The girl clutched onto the basket with her little hands covered with cloth like gloves. The savoury sweet smell emitting from within the basket made her mouth water.
The delicious smell led the girl into a daydream. It smells so good! Maybe I should taste a few. She thought. Remembering what she had come for, she quickly snapped back to reality.
"No. No. I need to make friends first, then we can eat it together." She muttered. She slowly moved her hand, that was hovering over the basket, away in restraint.
Suddenly, a brown object zoomed past the girl's shoulder, almost colliding with her head.
"W... What was that?" She shrieked.
She stared at the brown muddy ball sitting beside her like nothing ever happened. Where did that come from...? She thought.
"Sorry!" Someone shouted.
The girl turned her head. A boy with cinnamon like brown hair came running towards her in a hurry.
"I'm so sorry? Are you ok?" The boy asked. It was clear that he was worried the ball might have hurt her.
"I'm quite alright. thank you." She reassured him. She handed the ball back to the boy.
"Thank goodness." The boy said in relief.
The girl glanced at the direction the boy had come from. Seeing how the ball came from this direction, he's probably not alone, right? She wondered.
Noticing the children waiting behind him, the girl's face lit up with excitement.
"Are you playing with your freinds? May I join you?"
