PART 4 —
EXT. TEMPLE COURTYARD — NIGHT
The ancient ruins are broken. Stone cracked. Columns half-collapsed.
The wind finally settles.
Tyler sits on a shattered slab, breathing hard, knuckles bleeding.
Luke leans against a wall, light fading from his hands like dying embers.
Liam stands alone in the center of the courtyard.
His Northern Lights still orbit him—but slower now. Controlled. Quiet.
Not wild anymore.
TYLER
(grim laugh)
So… that guy wasn’t even trying to kill us, was he?
No one answers.
Kate kneels, pressing glowing symbols into the ground—SEALING the fractured earth.
KATE
No.
He was measuring you.
Pele steps beside Liam, fire low but tense.
PELE
And he learned enough.
Liam finally exhales. His legs shake.
Luke notices.
LUKE
Liam—sit down before you pass out.
Liam shakes his head.
LIAM
If he comes back… I need to be ready.
Kate looks directly at him.
KATE
Then you’ll need more than speed.
She gestures toward the mountains beyond the temple.
Lightning flashes far away—no thunder.
KATE (CONT’D)
Tomorrow, your training changes.
Tyler looks up.
TYLER
Changes how?
Pele smiles—but it isn’t warm.
PELE
You don’t just learn elements anymore.
She snaps her fingers.
The TEMPLE RUNES RELIGHT, brighter than before.
PELE (CONT’D)
You learn war.
CUT TO:
INT. UNKNOWN LOCATION — SAME NIGHT
A vast, dark chamber.
Screens float in the air, all replaying the fight from different angles.
Liam standing against gravity.
Roy smiling.
The moment Liam stood up.
A man sits in the shadows—face obscured.
His voice is calm. Amused.
THE PHANTOM MAN (V.O.)
So… Charlie chose well.
Roy kneels before him, one hand on the floor.
ROY
He adapted faster than expected.
A pause.
THE PHANTOM MAN (V.O.)
Good.
Another screen flickers—showing Tyler, then Luke.
THE PHANTOM MAN (V.O.) (CONT’D)
Prepare the next phase.
Roy looks up.
ROY
Do you want them alive?
Silence.
Then—
A soft laugh.
THE PHANTOM MAN (V.O.)
For now.
CUT TO:
EXT. TEMPLE BALCONY — LATE NIGHT
Liam stands alone, overlooking the sea.
Moonlight reflects off his eyes.
Charlie’s words echo faintly in his mind.
Power isn’t a thing you take.
Liam clenches his fist.
The Northern Lights briefly form a NEW SYMBOL—unfamiliar.
Something deeper.
Something waiting.
LIAM
(quiet)
Then I’ll earn it.
