EXT. ABANDONED SKYLINE — NIGHT
The city district is evacuated—lights dead, streets empty.
Liam stands in the center of an intersection, coat torn, Northern Lights violent around him now.
The air folds.
Reality buckles.
Roy appears ten feet away—no calm, no testing.
This time, his feet touch the ground.
That’s how Liam knows.
LIAM
So this is it.
Roy’s eyes glow silver-white.
ROY
This is what you asked for.
ZERO LIMIT ENGAGED
Roy steps forward.
The world SLAMS.
Gravity spikes so hard the asphalt liquefies.
Liam is driven to one knee—bones screaming.
He roars and releases everything.
🔥❄️ ELEMENT LIMBO — OVERDRIVE
Fire and ice no longer orbit neatly.
They collide, shatter, reform—raw, unstable.
Liam launches forward anyway.
He punches—
Roy catches it.
The shockwave levels three city blocks.
Windows vaporize.
Roy twists his wrist.
Liam is flung through a skyscraper, carving a tunnel straight through steel and concrete.
He crashes out the other side—falls—
Stops midair.
Barely.
Blood runs down his chin.
LIAM (hoarse)
Not… enough.
Chains erupt from his back—dozens—anchoring to buildings, the sky, nothing.
Roy raises both hands.
Gravity inverts.
Everything falls up.
Cars, debris, entire rooftops tear free.
Liam is pulled apart from every direction.
Bones crack.
He screams—
Then snaps.
ELEMENT LIMBO — BREAK STATE
Fire goes white-hot.
Ice turns pitch-black.
They fuse—not balance—defiance.
The chains glow blinding blue.
Liam tears himself free and rockets straight at Roy.
Roy doesn’t dodge.
They collide—
And the sky splits.
A ring of compressed gravity expands outward, flattening the district.
Roy is pushed back for the first time.
He skids across air itself, boots carving lines in nothingness.
Roy looks up—
And smiles, just a little.
ROY
There you are.
He clenches his fist.
Gravity collapses into a singular point—
ON LIAM’S HEART.
Liam gasps, vision darkening.
Everything goes silent.
Then—
Liam whispers:
LIAM
I don’t fight alone.
His power surges—not outward—
INWARD.
The gravity point fails.
Explodes.
Roy is hurled into the ground like a meteor.
Crater. Shockwave. Silence.
AFTERMATH
Smoke clears.
Roy stands in the crater, coat gone, armor cracked.
Breathing hard.
Liam lands shakily across from him, barely standing, Element Limbo flickering like a dying star.
They lock eyes.
For the first time—
Roy looks serious.
ROY
You’ve crossed the line.
Liam wipes blood from his mouth.
LIAM
Good.
A long beat.
Roy straightens.
ROY
Next time… the world won’t survive us.
Gravity bends.
Roy vanishes.
Liam collapses to one knee—but smiles through the pain.
Above him, the sky slowly stitches itself back together.
