I could have almost gone to the concert without anyone noticing but that was the only thing they wouldn’t have noticed. I couldn't even breath properly. So I ghosted everyone until 1 AM.

I barely slept at night, I was kept awake by my tears and the recollection of the past hours. I tried to apologize to Hollis, Rence and Lola but nobody answered my texts and calls.  Hollis’s phone didn’t even ring when I tried calling. 

I went to school with my stomach knot, I needed to speak with them. I waited for them in the parking lot.

I couldn't beat the uncertainty of how my body could react any moment. I was alright for now, maybe getting beaten had played?

I first saw Lola, Rence and Damien.

Damien saw me, murmured something to Lola who turned to me quickly before advancing. When she went out of her way, I ran to them.

“Lola, I am so so sorry” I stopped just behind her,

“For what?” She turned, eyes cold and red with anger.

“Yesterday. I couldn’t come. I should’ve told you but I am sure your were amazing without me”

“So amazing we couldn’t perform in front of BamBam, when we realised you just ditched us and there was no use waiting for you she was already gone!” She made grand gestures with her hands “You shouldn’t have said yes if it was to get revenge”

“It wasn’t to-”

“Save it,” She went and Damien ignored me too, Rence looked at me and we maintained eyes contact, he stopped a bit, before looking away “You can’t blame her, you are acting strange. ”

“I wasn’t in my right mind last tim-”

“I don’t want to speak about it – I need to go” He cut me off and followed them

“See you later!”

He looked back, and smiled awkwardly “yeah”

It couldn’t have been more clearer that his later rhymes with never.

Today, he was the one to turn his back to me.
