After the Great War, the elves closed the forest to all outsiders during the rebuilding process. They accepted elf refugees but were constantly being harassed by human looters. Many people in the Amin Empire fled to their homelands as refugees. The Humans of the Empire had no other home to return to. 

Many of the nomads who wander the land today are the descendants of people from small villages that survived until they either ran out of resources, or were forced out by bandits. 

Years went by and the elves' prejudice towards humans grew worse and worse as time went on. There was one human that was different, Voyd's father. He’s the descendant of a group of priests from a small village in the east. Their healing magic allowed them to survive for a long time, however, their kindness would end up getting many of them killed or split up throughout the years. 

Voyd’s dad would end up watching the group he traveled with get slaughtered by bandits. He was told never to go into the forest, but there was nowhere else to run. Even the bandits who chased him knew better than to follow him into the forest. 

He would go on to get captured by the elves and after explaining his situation, and offering to help the village with his healing magic, the elves released him. He spent his time acting as the village doctor and writing down his knowledge of healing magic just in case another human ever came along. 

After some time spent and a lot of flirting, he fell in love and had a child. With his new family, he wanted to embrace elven culture. Every holiday and ceremony he participated in, except for one. 

The O**y is an ancient elven tradition where they give thanks to the spirits that blessed them with the ability to use wind magic. It is the only ceremony that non elves are banned from due to the fact that outsiders were not blessed with the same abilities. 

Voyd’s dad went to other religious events, but during the orgy he sat at home alone feeling left out. He begged his wife to disguise him so he could participate and she reluctantly agreed. 

He successfully went to one undetected, but the following year he was found out. The elves knew that the penalty was death, however, over the years they’ve grown to like him and they knew he didn’t mean to do them any wrong. 

The elders decided that exile would be a better option. So, they packed up their things. Including the healing magic books he spent all those years writing and they left the forest. 

They spent almost a year wandering the wasteland until Voyd was about 4 years old. One day, they were ambushed by a group of bandits. Escape would’ve been impossible, but Voyd’s father sacrificed himself in order to buy some time for his wife and daughter to escape. Voyd remembers this but tries her hardest to forget. 

Voyd and her mother would lay low for the next 7 years. She learned healing magic through her fathers books that were left behind in the same house where Jeff would eventually find and rescue her. She spent her whole life reading nothing but those books while her mom kept her safe and she remembers every detail. 

The real reason why Voyd likes traveling with Jeff and his party is because Jeff reminds Voyd of her father and the party reminds her of the family she once had. Jeff and Voyd’s father are both h*rny as hell but they’re always trying to help others. Even though her memories are faint, her subconscious makes her feel a connection as well as the comfort she felt when her family was still together.
