Special: Observation Report 1

Special: Observation Report 1

Apr 01, 2026

Minister Schwartz stood at his desk, staring down at the new observation reports upon his desk. The minister was quite young, having recently been appointed after the previous minister was murdered. Minister Schwartz didn't feel confident knowing that the murderer was still under the facility he was overseeing.

The government hadn't given him much of a choice and after being sworn in, he was shipped off to this place.

He absolutely hated it. The plain white corridors, the screams of the detained, the constant influx of scientists and soldiers. Everything set his skin crawling in a way that made him sick to his stomach. He sighed, rubbing at his belly again as his newfound irritable bowel syndrome acted up as he read these new reports.

The first one was about the weregoblin of wolf pack 32, Minister Schwartz had a distinct dislike of goblins and he read the report with a scowl as he took a seat.

The report just seemed to worsen his bowel movements and he stood up again, pouring a glass of water from the dispenser in the corner and taking his medication. He sighed, rubbing a hand down his face as he returned to his desk and picked up the second report.

Minister Schwartz was already hating his job, wishing he could just quit, but if he did he would be detained and seeing how the detainees in his facility were treated he held back.

Human or not, the government didn't take kindly to anyone who broke the rules. He looked down at the second report, this time a different packmate of wolf pack 32.

Minister Schwartz rubbed the back of neck, confused why the government persisted with these reports on seemingly random non-humans. He still had not been completely briefed on his role at the facility, nor about what actually occurred here. The place was still a mess after the previous minister's murder and no one had the foresight to clue in the new meat.

No, they rather provided him with all these reports for him to authorise without him knowing anything else. He scowled as he picked up the next report, feeling angry that he had to comply while completely blind to the reality of this place.

This report had him confused; a vampire with a zero kill count? How was that possible? The vampirism sickness was quite particular and in order to completely turn, each human would need to take a life to become undead, or risk dying themselves. Minister Schwartz made a mental note to question this report further and set it aside.

There were only two reports left now and he felt relieved that it was almost over.

Minister Schwartz felt his heartbeat increase as he finished the report. Subject 32a was a high level threat and the department's plans for him were quite intriguing. He didn't know how exactly they would go about the trail, but he felt a bit excited about the prospect.

Imagine what we could do if it's a success, this could literally change everything, He thought, feeling anticipation for his job for the first time ever. He was still smiling as he picked up the last report.

Minister Schwartz felt the room spinning as he finished the report. He set it aside, feeling fear completely replace his previous excitement. This was the murderer. The non-human who had killed the previous minister. He swallowed, feeling an impending sense of doom that wasn't diminished even knowing that Subject 1 was currently in a weak and docile state.

He had no doubt in his mind that if given the opportunity, Subject 1 would immediately kill him.

1 467 kills? How is that even possible? This is nothing but a damn monster, and I have to stay in this facility with it? The minister frowned at the thought.

His thoughts were interrupted by a knock at his door and he straightened, smoothing down his suit as he asked who was at the door.

“Benjamin, sir.” The person responded, “Head of security.”

Minister Schwartz told him to enter and asked, “What is it this time?”

“Sir,” The soldier said, looking to be in his mid forties, much older than Minister Schwartz, “I have been assigned to assist you in acclimating to this place. If there is anything you need or want to know, please don't hesitate to ask me.”

“Took you long enough,” Schwartz sighed, “I have been here for about a week now and only now you all have realised that I am still completely in the dark?”

“Apologies, sir,” The soldier said, not looking sorry at all, “With recent events we had other priorities, and your appointment was left as an afterthought.”

The minister scowled but pushed past his annoyance, no he would rather get the answers that have been plaguing him since he arrived here.

“So,” Minister Schwartz said, “Tell me what the fuck this place is.”

🌸 Hi Everyone 🌸

Hope you all enjoy this little special double episode I dropped for April Fool's Day 🌷

We've finally learned something more about the human government and their movements!

Unredacted versions of these observation reports will be released once the pertaining events have happened so look forward to that.

TO BE NOTED:

Birth Moon is a term coined by werewolves referring to the specific full moon under which a werewolf is born.

As werewolves are only born during the full moon, they differentiate between the different months by its full moon; with alphas being born under the first full moon of the year, the Wolf Moon.

Although the moon doesn't have any influence on the birth of humans and other non-humans, they still use the werewolves' birth moon system, as it is both simple and memorable.

In terms of the subject naming system, the government uses a chronological system, with Subject 1 being the first non-human being studied by the Department.

> Wolf pack 32 is the government assigned term for Kyle's pack, each packmate being designated with a letter to symbolise their status.

> a = leader; b = subleader; with the following being allocated by the respective time they joined the pack/swarm/coven/tribe.
