"This is your granddaughter, Palma." Nepella answered.
The girl took a glance at her mother, who was gesturing her to speak. Her voice came out wobbly and tight as she greeted him nervously. "P...Palma Von Edelweiss greets the Village Chieftain."
"It has been a while, Palma. I see you've grown into a beautiful girl." He noted.
As far as she could remember, this was her first time meeting this man, so she couldn't help but feel confused as she mumbled. "A while...?"
"Palma." Nepella snaped.
Oops. The girl thought. She didn't mean to say that out loud. Will he be angry?
"Haha. Looks like you no longer remember. I came to visit you once when you were still an infant." He explained.
"Apologies. I can't quite remember." She confessed.
"No need to fret. Not everyone remembers things from their infancy." He expressed.
Relieved that the Chief was not offended, the girl took a deep breath.
"Though your mother still remembers her time as an infant. Do you not, Nepella?" He recalled.
Hearing this, the girl's mouth dropped open in surprise as she asked. "Really?"
"It's true. She always rememebered the little things people said and did around her as if it happened yesterday." He reminisced. "I had to always be cautious about what I said and did in her presence, or she would resite-"
"Father!" Nepella interrupted. She lowered her tone before saying. "If I may. I would like to discuss something of importance."
