Our minds are far too powerful to reduce life to just two boxes. The real world is full of nuance, color, complexity and this is its true beauty. Instead of forcing everything into narrow labels, we can choose curiosity over ignorance, empathy over judgment, and understanding over false dualities. Life is not simply A or B; it is the infinite space in between.
Fundamental reflection! Dualism is the belief that reality is divided into two fundamental, opposing substances or forces. Whether it’s philosophy (mind vs. body), religion (good vs. evil), or psychology (self vs. other), dualism draws a line right through the middle of existence. While it is a handy tool for logical organization, this constant "splitting" is also a primary source of human anguish.
Transcending dualism doesn’t mean ignoring that your body and mind exist; it means realizing the interconnection between these polarities. In our phenomenal world (the world of appearances), we can seek this unity through: 1. The Practice of Presence (Mindfulness). 2. Flow States 3. Cultivating Non-Duality (Oneness) 4. Compassion and Empathy
Happiness in the phenomenal world is not the absence of problems, but the realization that you are not separate from the life that flows around you
