While I have done my best to make sure that context can be used to determine the meaning of the replaced words in my stories, not everyone will get what is going on with that right away. Because Keygemin does not take place on Earth, many of the concepts of daily life that we are used to here do not exist, or have changed in the world of Una. I do this for both immersion, and my own sanity.

For this reason, I present a list of all of the words you might come across in my stories. If you ever have trouble with the meaning of some of the constructed concepts or references just comment below on any chapter and I'll address them.

Time

Second, Minute, Hour, Day, Week, Month, Year >>
Drip / Drop, Bead, Beat, Day, Week, Grad, Year

A year is 8 grads, each containing 24 days. Years are shorter on Una, so age numbers are higher.

Sunrise (Dawn), Noon, Sunset (Dusk), Midnight >>
Brightset, Fullbright, Nightset, Allnight

Breakfast is also replaced with Brightfeast.

Distance

Kilometer >> Redknot
Pace >> Meter
Foot >> 1/3 Pace

A Knot on Una is a measurement of speed which is equal to redknots per beat.

Direction

Dockside / Portside - Left
Cloudside - Right
Aft / Stern - Back
Bow / Prow - Front
Outways - Away from the thread.
Sourceways / Threadways - Toward the thread.
Standard Sourceout - Prime meridian on a polar coordinate plane.

Glossary

Aeroina - Like a marina, but for aeroships.
Aeroship - Airship, skyship, aircraft. Usually with masts and sails.
Breakfast - To break the monthly three day fast practiced by the religion of Daynism.
Daynism - Major world religion.
Gemin - Magical elemental gemstones.
Gemite - Magic caster that wields gemin to cast spells.
Keygemin - Elemental golems summoned from gemin.
Keygemite - A summoner and tamer of keygemin.
Setting - The process of submitting material to a gemin to turn it into a keygemin.
Skyland - A large landmass floating in the sky.
Source - The ball of light in the sky that is not a sun.
Sourcelight - Sunlight, but from the source. The source also emits a small amount of light at night. This is not moonlight, as there is no moon.
Thread - A huge laser beam at the center of the map. All navigation is relative to it.
Torrent - The horrible void below the skylands.
