Wanted to sail away and travel far

hobbies to partake in, shared interests

I wanted
unexpected notifications on sad days
someone to ping, in midnight hours

someone’s shoulder to cry on

someone, whose eyes reek 

of connection, purely platonic

someone who isn’t a man

I wish I’d asked for a princess,

not the prince charming of 

stupid girly dreams

Now I’m all alone

My grave not far away

Love spent on love misunderstood
