“Okay… I’m going to need details on both cause a car wreak and falling out of a tree can break bones…”
I wrote it all out, which he read, the crash part was the part he nearly choked on a sip of water.
“YOU COULD HAVE A CONCUSSION FROM THAT WATER BOTTLE! WHAT THE HELL?! WHY DIDN’T YOU COME HERE TO THE INFIRMARY LAST NIGHT?! HOW DID YOU RUN TO CAMP SO FAST!? HAVE HAVE YOU NOT BROKEN A BONE?!” Will looked like he was about to crash out.
I kinda felt a bit bad.
“Okay… okay… first things first, I need to make sure you don’t have a concussion.” He rolled over on his wheely spinny chair… I didn’t really know what they were called because my parents never corrected me, cause it was funny. He shined a light in my eyes to make sure my pupils weren’t two different sizes. But then he just looked even more confused, “...Are your iris’ just… black? I can’t tell your pupils from your iris.”
I gave a confused look then wrote on a paper, then wrote on; “My eyes change color with different emotions, I didn’t know what color meant what.”
“Okay… okay… so I can’t tell if you have a concussion or not… so you’re staying the night here for observation.” Will decided.
I nodded.
“Alright… so do you feel like any bones are broken? Like extreme pain in one area?” Will asked.
I thought about it for a moment. I didn’t really feel any pain in any one area. It was more so all over my body, not in one spot but all over. So I wrote out how I felt because it wasn't in one area, but I did feel the pain all around.
“Got it… have you been diagnosed with chronic pain? That can be why you feel the pain, unless its something else.” Will asked.
I shook my head.
“Okay, it’s probably the after math of the crash and the fall from the tree. That does make a bit sense, but I’m still curious, have you ever broken a bone?”
I shook my head.
“Interesting… is one of your godly… grandparents I guess… Apollo?”
I nodded.
“That could explain the no broken bones, you probably would have broken a lot during the crash or fall from the tree, but you didn’t break any bones, because of the Apollo connection-he’s the god of healing and all that- which would also explain the pain you feel, because you're experiencing the pain you would’ve felt if you had broken those bones. That idea would make a lot of sense.” He thought out loud, and I nodded, because it did make some sense to me as well.
