Drippy rushed down the stairs. “Scarlet!” She shouted eagerly. As she approached the counter.
“What?” Scarlet answered back coldly.
“I would like to register to become a knight please.” Drippy said, smiling ear to ear. This was it. Her dream was within her grasp.
“Sure.” Scarlet said with a sardonic smile. She placed her hand in front of Drippy.
Drippy playfully slapped scarlets open hand and smiled. Scarlet looked annoyed.
“I know you are new and all but I hoped your friends would have told you about the knight fees.” Scarlet said in an irritated tone.
“Knight fees?” Drippy asked, tilting her head slightly.
“Not just anyone can be a knight. Knights typically come from noble families. So in order to make sure knights get only the best of the best knight fees are necessary.” Scarlet explained.
“Stupid money.” Drippy grumbled. “How much are they?” Drippy asked. Scarlet tapped a sign next to her. There was a price on there but Drippy still struggled with her numbers. She was feeling lost and helpless. Luna picked up on this.
“I’m sorry, do you have payment plans or anything like that.” Luna asked. That price is ridiculous. Damn knights.
Scarlet pointed under the sign and that Drippy could read. It said in big bold letters “NO PAYMENT PLANS”
“Looks like I have to save you two again. While you guys were yapping I was looking at the job board.” Yadi said as she placed a paper before them. Drippy recognized this. It was a quest. Drippy saw the numbers matched the numbers on the sign.
“That’s great and all Yadi but how exactly do you plan on getting to this… ‘Isle of the armorer’?” Luna asked.
“It says the knights will provide transportation. To contact their dock worker ‘Shawshanks’. Also if we do a good job maybe the armorer will make armor for Drippy.” Yadi said enthusiastically.
“Yeah, let's do it!” Drippy said. “We will be back with the money.” Drippy turned to exit with Yadi and Luna following behind her.
