We left the house, and entered the forest, walking past many trees of different colours.
Some were even green. I kinda got lost in thought as we were walking. All I remember was hearing the sound of birds singing their songs, and the sound of people talking as we made our way closer to the village.
I was really only thinking about one of the books I’m reading at the moment. Not my Macaroni-book, which I mentioned in the last chapter. That’s the book I read during the day.
The one I was thinking about is one that I read at night. It’s called Knights Out, and it’s about the two main characters, Nick, who’s a knight, and Charlie, who’s a detective. Nick wants to be a famous knight, but if he does, his and Charlie’s relationship could potentially be discovered, and it’d ruin everything. Charlie’s also tryna solve a murder mystery, but Nick doesn’t know he’s a detective. The murder mystery Charlie’s tryna solve is regarding a famous author who’d been killed. I personally think the murderer is the authors caretaker. I think they’re tryna lead us in the wrong direction, by having us think it’s his son, because the last conversation they had was an argument, where the author threatened to remove his son from the will. So, everyone thinks his son did it right before he got written out of the will, so he’d end up getting some of his dads money. But, you know what they always say. It’s always the person you least suspect.
And while this is all happening, Nick is fighting Poseidon. The last scene that happened was the main character had just met the sand guardian, guardian of the sand. Poseidon quivers before him. And Poseidon told him to fuck off. It was a weird chapter, but I think that’s what I love about it.
Once the path led us out of the forest, we arrived in Hiyah Village, where it was just bustling with life.
