Ansgar
I was food.
For two days now. Or was it five? Two weeks?
These vampires dragged me behind them as they snuck through the mountains at night.
In the last two days or so, no village, no town crossed their path, and so they feasted on ME. And it was just as disgusting as it sounded!
They drove their sharp teeth into my body and drank before they pulled me back to my feet, and I, bound and stunned, had to stumble after them. I was barely conscious, almost willless.
The world around me was blurry; sometimes, I didn't know if I was awake or asleep. My memories were clouded, and in this dazed state, I could not listen to the conversations of these people. These herbs, whatever they were, clouded my senses.
They smuggled them into the little food they gave me.
And I only knew that because one of them, I didn't know who, had whispered it to me. Had he apologized for it? Maybe.
Sometimes I didn't even notice how I was walking on the damp ground. Always behind them. My world consisted of pain and sleep. I refused to eat whenever I was able, but they forced water, food, and those damn herbs down my throat.
These herbs also prevented me from turning into a wolf.
I was helpless.
Pain. Again.
My neck, my wrists. They drank my blood again.
Was I sitting? Was I standing? Was I lying?
I didn't know.
Red, always angry eyes looked at me.
Angry. Always angry...
The world went black.
---
"You drank too much!" someone said. He sounded angry.
I blinked. It was dark around me. I lay on something damp. Grass probably. My head hurt, I was dizzy... But for the first time in a long time, I heard the words of my captors clearly.
"That's what we have him for!" objected another. "Everwinus! This was YOUR idea. And you're thirsty, too."
"Yes! I am thirsty, Meusewin! But the three of you have drunk too much. If I rob him of even one more drop of blood, he will die!"
Something crashed.
"Everwinus!" A woman's voice. "You have to drink. If he dies, we'll take another blood bag with us."
"But we have to find one first!" hissed the angry man. Everwinus. "Meusewin! This is irresponsible! We can't let him die... We... We would starve to death before we find a replacement."
"Not yet," added another male voice.
Someone laughed. Meusewin. "Everwinus, my good boy. Have you become oh so soft in the meantime? Have your two deluded fathers spoiled you too much? Pampered? What do you care about the life of a wolf? Even if you're right..."
"Let my fathers out of it!! YOU ASS!!"
Again, something crashed.
It sounded as if the two vampires were fighting each other.
"Stop it!" the woman shouted.
"Oh. The wolf is awake!" I heard the third man say.
Someone pressed a water bag to my mouth. Strongly. "Drink!" The third male vampire. "Be a good little wolf. No, a good little blood bag."
I resisted, but the headache and dizziness worsened as a result. Finally, I gave up and drank.
Shortly afterwards, the world went black again.
