The sanctuary’s courtyard was silent except for Agira’s breathing.

Training had become routine.

Failure had too.

Flying had improved too.

Barely.

The force beneath him still felt unstable, more like forcing the world to reject gravity than true control over movement.

The ones that surfaced without explanation.

Distortions in the air.

Heat spikes.

Violent surges of energy that appeared for seconds before vanishing again.

Those remained wild.

Untouched.

Only fire bent willingly to him.

And even that slipped through his grasp sometimes.

Kaito watched quietly from beneath the sanctuary’s old stone archways.

A silent presence.

Never interfering unless necessary.

Agira looked toward him.

“Real power,” Kaito continued, “is found in the silence before the storm.”

Agira nodded slowly.

Even now, he wasn’t sure he fully understood what that meant.

That night, he meditated beneath the sanctuary’s fading lantern light.

Eyes closed.

Hands steady.

Trying to quiet something inside him that never truly rested.

Elsewhere within the sanctuary, Kaito entered the temple’s inner shrine alone.

Ancient scrolls surrounded him as faint chants echoed through the chamber.

Hours passed.

Then came the visions.

Shapes moved through smoke and light.

Voices layered over one another like distant echoes.

Ancient.

Unclear.

Yet impossible to ignore.

And through them—

a message emerged.

“As darkness rises… one marked by flame will appear.”

The voices deepened.

“Through trials, his light may restore balance where all else falls to chaos.”

A pause.

“But only… if he finds the will to overcome.”

Kaito’s eyes opened sharply.

The vision faded.

But its meaning remained.

At dawn, he found Agira training alone in the courtyard.

Fire spiraled around Agira’s hands in uneven bursts before disappearing again.

Kaito stepped forward slowly.

Agira stopped immediately.

The fire vanished.
