The abandoned steel yard burned beneath the night sky.

Twisted machinery melted into glowing wreckage as flames spread across shattered concrete.

Agira landed carefully near the center of the destruction.

The heat hit instantly.

Heavy.

Artificial.

Wrong.

something moved inside the smoke.

Terraka emerged slowly through the flames.

Massive.

Its armor glowed red beneath layers of reinforced steel while heat pulsed through every mechanical joint.

One crimson sensor locked directly onto Agira.

The machine’s voice thundered across the steel yard.

“Elemental.”

A pause.

“By prophecy or design…”

Its arms ignited with fire.

“You will be tested.”

Terraka attacked first.

A massive wall of flame erupted forward, consuming the steel yard in seconds.

Agira launched upward immediately, barely avoiding the inferno as heat exploded beneath him.

He countered with fire from his palm.

A concentrated blast slammed into Terraka’s leg, forcing the machine back slightly.

Sparks burst outward.

But Terraka adapted instantly.

Its arms shifted position.

Calculating.

Learning.

Another wave of fire surged toward Agira midair.

This time stronger.

The blast clipped him directly and hurled him through a cracked support pillar.

Concrete exploded around him.

Agira pushed himself upright immediately.

Then fired.

Two red laser beams tore through the smoke and struck Terraka’s shoulder joint directly.

Metal bubbled instantly under the heat.

Armor peeled away.

Exposed wiring sparked violently beneath it.

Terraka retaliated without hesitation.

A concentrated stream of superheated fire roared across the battlefield, forcing Agira back into the air.

The steel yard became chaos.

Flames collided constantly.

Agira moved faster now, weaving through explosions and collapsing structures while Terraka tracked him relentlessly from below.

Every attack forced adaptation.

Every mistake cost energy.

Agira focused hard on Kaito’s teachings.

Stillness.

Control.

Silence before the storm.

He landed briefly atop a collapsed crane.

Closed his eyes.

Breathed once.

Then attacked again.

A spinning arc of flame erupted from both hands and crashed directly into Terraka’s upper frame.

The machine staggered.

Its sensor flickered violently.

But it didn’t stop.

Instead, the entire steel yard began overheating.

Terraka’s core glowed brighter.

Hotter.

Unstable.

Then the machine unleashed everything at once.

A massive thermal pulse exploded outward from its body, turning the battlefield into a vortex of fire.

Agira was thrown backward violently as the shockwave ripped through the yard.

Pain surged through every muscle in his body.

Exhaustion followed immediately after.

But he forced himself back up.

One final attack.

That was all he had left.

Agira gathered fire between his palms.

Compressing it.

Condensing it.

Shrinking it into a small sphere so intensely hot the air around it distorted.

Then he launched it directly at Terraka’s central sensor.

Impact.

The sphere pierced through molten armor instantly.

Terraka froze.

Its crimson eye flickered uncontrollably.

Then shattered.

The giant machine collapsed moments later, crashing into the burning steel yard with enough force to shake the ground itself.

Silence followed.

Broken only by crackling fire.

Agira stood alone among the ruins, breathing heavily as smoke drifted around him.

His hands trembled slightly.

Burned.

Exhausted.

Alive.

Behind him, Kaito stepped slowly through the smoke.

“The prophecy does not begin with victory,” the monk said quietly.

Agira looked toward him.

“It begins,” Kaito continued, “with the courage to face what lies beyond fear.”

Far away beneath Delpolis, Dr. Thompson watched the battle footage end on his monitors.

Terraka had failed.

But he didn’t look angry.

Only interested.
