Drake and Violet in Hell

She thinks she's made of candy 2

She thinks she's made of candy 2

May 16, 2026

Violet then finally let’s go and snaps.

“I LOVED HER!”.

They both went silent. Staring at each other. More like she glared and he was surprised. He was taken a back while there was the sounds of birds chirping.

Drake, puzzling while saying.

“Wait……..What?”

Violet, shakily said

“I loved her. There I said it.”

Drake

“Like…….as a sister?”

Violet, tears starting to drip down her cheeks as she grabbed her hair

“I don’t know. Maybe…….maybe more than that. Maybe romantically……...maybe something else. I couldn’t tell at the time if it was narcissism or incest or family bond or anything. We’re the same person but we’re not. We’re not sibling but we share the same blood. There were so many mixed feelings at the time. All I knew is that I didn’t care if I was a clone. Because I still felt like I mattered. She…..made me feel like I mattered. And I loved her for that.”

Even more tears came out. Tears he could tell she’s has been holding in for a long time.

“I loved my life. Sure, I was created for the sake of work but It was still better than what it is now. I was still someone important. I still felt like I mattered and I owed it all to her. And I knew I wanted to be with her for the rest of eternity.”

It was at that moment that she truly started to show her sorrow as she wiped the tears from her face but they still kept coming. Like an endless rain.

“And then I made the stupid decision of telling her how I feel. She called me defective. She tried to kill me. Tossed me in this room to be incinerated like a broken tool. As if nothing we shared mattered. I managed to escape but she didn’t even bother to come after me. Said I would be dead in the gutter in less than a week. As if all those years together meant nothing to her.”

She could no longer stand and had to lean on the wall to stop her falling. The floor beneath her becoming wet.

“I thought if I climbed my way up. Take control. Make something of myself than she could see that she was wrong. And maybe she’d take me back again. I was so obsessed with reclaiming what I lost. I ended up treating everyone under me worse than she did. And look where it got me. I’m not different than when I started and nothing will change. She was right. I will always be alone and a failure and I hate the way things are and I hate how little I matter to anyone.”.

She finally collapsed and sat on the wall sobbing while curled up, buried her face to her knees. The sounds of her sobs could be heard in every corner of the room. And drake could feel every ounce of it like he was breathing her melancholy as air. He walked beside her. Pressed against the wall and slid to sit near her.

Drake

“I know how that feels. Feeling like you don’t matter. Feeling alone and hate the way things are. I used to be someone important too.”

She slowly raised her head to face him.

Drake

“You could say I was a soldier. My job was simple. I was supposed to protect people. Stop bad guys from hurting good guys. I loved my job. It was the closest thing I had to having a purpose after I died. But my…….co-workers, they didn’t see the job that way. And they ended up doing something terrible to someone who didn’t deserve it………...I lost my mind and killed one of them. They said I was a traitor. And well, here I am. I’ve been scrounging for every dime and cent ever since. One struggle through the next. So I know what it’s like to hate the way things are.”.

Soon the tears had gone but she was still sad. As if her eyes had all cried out. All she felt was sadness and fatigue as she leaned her head on Drake’s shoulder like the worlds most durable pillow. Drake didn’t mind, he knew she needed some comfort as he went on.

“Everyone is a failure at some point in their lives. What makes the difference is what they do when they fail. The fact you were still trying. You’re stronger than I was when I failed. I couldn’t stop but hate myself how much much I failed. Failed to be the person my mother wanted me to be. And I couldn’t help but hate myself of how much I failed to be the hero they trusted me to be. I still hate myself over how much suffering I caused.”

Violet, her eyes barely opening.

“How do you cope with it?”

Drake

“The truth is…….I’m still not coping. I haven’t figured out how to cope for a long time. And I don’t know if I ever will. But sometimes, I try to remember what my mother taught me.”.

Violet, slightly grinning

“And what’s that?”

Drake

“that when you’re sad about things that you can’t control. When bad things happen and no one’s to blame. Sometime…….you just dance like an idiot.”.

Violet raised an eyebrow.

“Dance……..like an idiot?”

Drake chuckled

“Yup. Dance like an idiot. To dance the sadness away.”.

Drake took out his phone. He scrolled through he favorite video playlist and played one of his favorite songs. With a tap on the screen. His phone played music that vibrated the room with it’s acoustics. The song was very pop like. Like a song by Robbie Williams but even faster and higher pitch. The song had a nice tune and was definitely something worth dancing too unlike those remixes at clubs. It was a song worth dancing that made you feel like you were in a movie.

Drake started small. Shifting his shoulders to the beat. Tilting his head like a pigeon and throwing his hands to the rhythm. Violet watched as he was acting slightly like a fool. She did not budge though as he continued to flaunt like he had an worm in his brain. And just when it couldn’t get worse. He got up and danced even worse. Shuffling and twisting like he owned the place. He threw his hands in the air while stepping side to side. Spun and failed to do the splits as he hit his ball sack. He got up ignoring the pain.

Violet in a deadpan face.

“You were right. You do look like an idiot.”

Drake smiled back

“Damn right.”

He continued to dance by swerving his head as if it were a whip. He did all sorts of dance moves as Violet tried her best to ignore him. But no matter how much effort she put in, she could not help but glance back at him dancing even further in the most foolish way.

He kept doing all the dances from every era of the 20th century. He did the monkey, he did the pyramid dance, the twist, the shuffle, the worm. Any dance more stupid then the last. The hoke poke and all sorts. Violet watching him slowly started to smile every second of the routine. He did the Michael Jackson, the floss, the running man, the not unusual and so on. It wasn’t until he did the Charleston that Violet finally gave up and laughed. The most genuine real laugh she ever gave since they met.

She stood up and rolled her eyes while smiling and to his surprise....... She finally joined in. Her dance moves were more inspired by 2000’s artists at the time. She threw her hands up and below and then twirled that ended in a striker pose. Leaving Drake with a smile.

She started doing dances similar to hammer time while Drake was doing the Dynamite. It had worked, they were actually having a good time as their feet tapping and body’s shifting made the room shake. With their eyes closed they started using their imagination to picture themselves dancing to somewhere else. In their minds. The room was replaced with a dance floor with lights and a stage. They even started picturing themselves in different outfits. Violet was wearing a nice red dress while Drake had a dark green suit. They looked at each other with the warmest smiles. Held each others hands and danced together in a tango.

Drake took the lead as he spun her around and when eh caught her burst out laughing. The way they moved was something out of a Spanish soap opera as they ignored everything else around them. Their imagination then started taking them to other worlds and imagined themselves in different outfits for dance moves. The 70s disco as Drake and Violet dancing like Elvis. Then to cowboys with the country two step. 1940S with the twist, Jazz, Hip Hop, and many more until finally they were back to the ballroom as Drake gave one final twirl to Violet. As soon as the song ended, Drake was holding her above the ground.

They smiled as they panted from nearly exhausting themselves. Sweat dripping and breathing heavily but still happy as though they had a good time. They looked at each other for a long time. Both of their eyes glistening as they stared deep into them. Their heads leaning in, but then suddenly they hear a massive clank and the illusion had ended and they were back into the room in reality. The room inside the wheel cart started shaking and rattling. Until finally.

The whole ferris wheel cart had fallen off the ride. The cart with Drake and violet encased in it was no tumbling down and rolling down the cliff just outside the festival. Both of them having their bodies banging every wall as the cart was rolling mercilessly due to it’s cube shape. It kept rolling and rolling until finally, he had hit the most massive tree. The impact was so great that it had torn the wall of the cart, marking it as a gateway to freedom. Drake and Violet having their bodies bruised were laying on the ground staring at the hole they could escape from. They looked at each other and to their own surprise, they both started bursting out laughing.

Hours after walking in the night, they finally managed to make it back to their apartment. But before Drake could open the front door Violet grabbed his arm and stopped him.

Violet

“Before we go in there’s something I need to do.”

She rushes to him and gives him the biggest hug she ever gave anyone. Her hands just barely touching each other around his waist as he felt her warmth. Then in about 2 seconds she immediately let go.

Violet quickly shot

“That never happened.”

Drake smiled with a chuckle

“Sure thing, Vi.”

Violet boomed

“Seriously I will PUT YOUR DICK IN A BLENDER if you tell anyone this!”.

But just kept laughing as he walked in. and her frown went to a smile and laughed too as she walked in after him.
