The wind felt heavy in her lungs as tears continued to flow from her eyes, her vision blurry as her legs carried her through the dark.
She couldn't see a thing, even the flickering streetlights seemed to mock her from above. Running on full adrenaline, Elara sprinted straight for her apartment, or at least as far as her trembling knees could carry her.
A large dark mass stepped out of one of the tall dark shadows the trees casted under the light of the full moon.
Through her hyperventilating state, Elara didn't see it on time, her unfocused eyes widened as she collided face first into what felt like a hard wall, her jacket dropping to the floor.
She closed her eyes, losing her balance as her knees buckled, but before she could even feel the floor beneath her shaking frame she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, pulling her tighter into a warm white chest.
Before anything could register in her mind, that scent entered her nose, stronger than ever before.
Roses..
As the realization dawned on her, Elara shook her head, using all her strength to push against his chest, but he wouldn't let go.
"LET ME GO!" She cried out still in half hysteria. Her fists banging against his chest as violent sobs racked her body. "YOU MURDERER!"
"Shh~" he purred, rubbing one of his large, thin hands over her small frame.
Elara wailed as loud as she could while he kept her trapped in his embrace. Pounding against his chest for a good few minutes before eventually her sweaty hands clawed at his long Trench coat until balling the fabric up in her fist as she cried into his chest.
"My dear flower~" his voice was low, but it was missing that charismatic lustful undertone he usually had with her. Elara could feel the vibrations of his voice rumble throughout his chest, the feeling oddly comforting to her despite it all.
"Shhh..." He hushed again, comforting her with a predatory grace. His tone smooth and dangerously calm.
"You k-killerd her.." Elara hicupped in his arms, the adrenaline now slowly wearing off. She could feel how badly her body was shaking, and so could he.
"Breathe Elara.. " He said softly. "I'm not the one who killed that woman." He stated.
Then he moved.
A simple small step and suddenly she didn't feel the cold winter air anymore. Everything got eerily quiet. All except for her heavy hiccuping sobs that echoed through the otherwise silent dark room.
He lowered one if his arms, allowing Elara the space to move away from him. She looked around, the familiar dark walls of her apartment made her face dawn in confusion.
Elara stepped away from him, her body still visibly shaking as she eyed him weairly. Silent tears still ran like rivers down her cheeks, her puffy eyes full of thoughts she couldn't bring out to say.
"H-how.." she coraked out, her voice hoarse from the crying and the screaming.
Offender looked down at her. His precious flower looked like a complete mess. That simply wouldn't do.
Elara finally found the courage to look up at the creature that somehow got her home without taking a single step, only to find out that he wasn't looking at her.
Instead, his fedora was ripped down to obscure most if not all of his face in nothing but shadows, making it nearly impossible for her to get as much as a hint of his thoughts. Elara could feel the tension that came from the creature. Like the darkness around him suffocated everything in the room including her.
He then raised his head, allowing her to see his face, for once he wasn't grinning, he wasn't even one bit amused.
Elara took another step back.
"Flower~" he purred, a shiver crawled down her back with the way it rolled so menacing from his tongue.
The grin returned to his face soon after, the pressure slowly dissolving from rhe room. He took a step closer, causing Elara to take a step back. Earning a small sigh from the creature.
"You know love," he started as he stepped closer again his hand resting on her lower back as he gently guided her to her bed. "I do tend to break my toys." He eventually chuckled. Sitting down on the bed and oulling her down on his lap, a pair of long white tentacles suddenly grew from his back, taking hold of her blanket that she had thrown to the floor and draped t over her shoulders.
"But even I have standards." Offenderman sighed, one of his fingers started to draw invisible patterns on her back, while Elara gripped the blanket tightly with her sweaty hands. Her eyes unfocused as she stated ahead of herself.
"T-then.." she croaked out but offenderman cut her off.
"Shh.. relax flower, like I said I did not kill that woman. It wouldn't make any sense if I did." He stated.
"I gave her the best night of her life for sure~" he let out a amused chucklenwt his own words. "But if I wanted her dead afterwards you would have had a funeral before ever seeing her in the hospital."
Elara tensed up at his words, the grip on the blanket tightening as she brought her knees closer together, she tried to focus on the warmth of his legs below her while the events replayed in her mind.
"Then w-who did..?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Don't worry sweetheart~" he purred. "I will deal with the one who did this." His tone dips ever so slightly, she almost didn't notice it.
"I promise~ "
