MILKY WAY: A POETRY COLLECTION

THE DICHOTOMY OF TIME

THE DICHOTOMY OF TIME

May 24, 2026

The clock behaves like water when the deadline starts to loom,
But turns to heavy marble in a quiet, waiting room.

Three suns can set in what feels like a single, hurried breath,
While a single silent hour weighs a heavy, waking death.

We chase the seconds when they run a frantic, blurred design—
Then watch them freeze like amber on a stationary line.

A week dissolves like sugar in a sudden, rushing stream,
While a single minute calcifies, suspended in an extreme.

We beg the day to linger when our hands are full of tasks,
Then curse the frozen pendulum for wearing heavy masks.

The future is a landslide, tumbling downward far too fast,
But the present is a glacier, locked unyielding in the past.

So short is life, as honest, to shroud up with a snap,
And a red carpet rolls when chasing dreams handicap.

The pulse that's felt in temples, drumming against the thoughts,
Resisting its own existence to carry jackpots.

The eyes that churn with minute hands don't know what they become;
Lose everything what shines within before the rest can come.

We hang suspended in the dark, between the text and dawn,
Where yesterday is dead and buried, but tomorrow isn't born.

While focus locks the spirit deep within a quiet maze,
As restless as we are, it just evaporates and is erased.

The heavy textbooks guard the desk like monuments of stone,
While coffee turns to bitter cold and leaves us here alone.

The world is locked in static sleep; a weightless, grey domain,
Where time forgets to push ahead and lingers in the brain.

We build a fortress out of years, meticulous and tall,
Then watch them turn to silhouettes upon a crumbling wall.

I think that’s the story that defines every single being:
Wrapped up in time until time wraps up its needs.

In twin duality they match one another,
One complements, while one supplements the other.

In an hourglass, they both accommodate a space,
Till one fades into the other's place.

Milky Way is a constellation of poems stitched from moments of fragility, endurance, and quiet wonder. Each piece carries the intimacy of a diary; fragments of grief, resilience, and time’s slow unfolding gathered like stars into a single sky. This collection lingers softly, offering readers a sanctuary where vulnerability glows and connection stretches toward the infinite.
