"May I have this dance~?"
The music echoed through the dance floor, Elara's eyes fixed on Offenderman, his hand waiting for hers. She hesitated; dancing was something she had never done in public..
Offenderman tilted his head ever so slightly, his burning gaze fixed on hers for an answer.
She looked over her shoulder, Roger's well-being still weighing heavily on her chest. Then she looked back at Offender, her eyes traveling over the way he had dressed himself before landing on his extended hand..
She should say no..
She should've slapped that hand away.
And yet...
Taking a deep breath, Elara took his hand, and without skipping a beat, Offenderman instantly pulled her towards him, leading her to the dance floor with elegant grace.
Elera's eyes went wide with surprise as he moved, his feet almost gliding over the dance floor, the moving light bouncing off his tall muscled frame.
Her body moved, matching his without much effort. His movements were so precise, so commanding, that all she had to do was follow.
her arms wrapping around his as the music guided them. His hands moved with such grace, pushing her away only to twirl her around in his arms. Her dress glistened beneath the swaying lights as smoke curled around them in mythical
beauty, and for a moment, Elara felt time slow
as he pulled her back into him.
"You're magnificent flower~" he rumbled in her ear.
His strong arms wrapped around her smaller frame, just as the spotlight fell on them, the bright white light enveloping them.
"I didn't think you could dance .." she replied, watching as the light bounced off all the white he was wearing like sparkling snow, all the while his black trench coat and fedora made him look darker than a moonless night sky.
"I did tell you that I'm the only one you'll ever need~" he purred.
The world around her blurred. His hands snaked around her waist, and before a single thought could enter her mind, the floor disappeared beneath her feet. After effortlessly twirling her into the air, he set her back on the floor only to spin her
straight back into his arms.
She let out a small gasp as he draped her backwards over his arm, throwing her head back elegantly while he held onto his fedora with his free hand.
Then his feet moved once again, guiding her around before pulling her back in as he slid over the floor, the chain that hung from his belt sparkled in the light while his large trench coat moved behind him like a second shadow.
"Just relax flower, let your body move on its own. I will guide you~" he whispered in her ear.
Her dress flowed smoothly over the floor, the smoke circling her while the silver roses sparkled in the spotlight, the perfect fit making every movement flow with grace without much conscious thought.
"You're incredible.." she breathed out as she let her body move, allowing Offenderman to control the stage, somehow making it work. All she could focus on was him, the world around her becoming irrelevant as she lived in the moment, her feet moving with his like they were made for this.
Elara didn't even realize that they were the only ones dancing, everyone stood transfixed on them while the music flowed like water on a rainy day.
Offender stood still just as the song was nearing its end, his arm guiding her around in a final twirl before pulling her back into his chest. And just when he dipped her elegantly one last time, the room seemed to shift.
The moment Offenderman let go, Elara stumbled back a few steps, straightening herself with a breathless smile-only for it to vanish when she released that she was no longer at prom.
"Wait what..?" She mumbled as she scanned the room around her.
No longer were they on a wooden stage, but instead a marble floor with a soft red carpet. No longer were the walls covered in beautiful winter wonderland decorations, but instead long vines covering thick stone walls with beautiful red roses growing from them.
No longer stood they in the spotlight with music echoing through the room but instead they stood in a quiet bedroom with torchlights that casted dancing shadows over them both.
Her eyes turned back to Offenderman who still stood there with that very same grin.
"Surprise, welcome home Flower~"
