He laid back on his bed, covering his eyes with his right arm.
"Today’s Tuesday, packed with Major subjects. Argh!" He grunts.
"I need to be there, 1-hour advance. So, I'll have spare time chilling like I usually do at the rooftop, compensating from yesterday’s useless research about Rose’s claims." He grunts.
"Been having wild dreams since I was 16 years old. 2 years ago, to be exact."
He stood up and stares at his study table with the Sacred Book and a notebook containing the Abomination intel.
"I don't pay much attention to dreams because most of them are nonsense.”
“Why nonsense? Why of course?"
He wears his duck-designed slippers and let out an embarrassed smile.
"My past dreams shows I’m a Plague Doctor saving a country struck by pandemic, a Gladiator who fought for the oppressed, then a Governor in Western Empire who foretold the Pharaoh about the upcoming drought from his dreams, and blah~blaah."
Western Empire can be imagined as Egypt, America, & Africa in real world.
He starts stretching.
"I may be a fan of playing games but playing as one? It's not my style."
"My 16-year old dreams aren't that serious, not until I'm 17. In which I’m currently am bruh!"
He took off his clothes and headed to the bathroom. He stopped at the mirror and gazes for a minute, especially his right eye.
"I had similar dreams, just like that one. Although some of them are vague but that dream last night? It’s eerily odd and real. What’s more, I never would’ve imagined I'd interact with the Doom Deity."
“I have to admit, the Sacred book showed the image of the Creation Deities but- Agh!” He sighs.
"Today is the second day of the month, and I haven't broken my exercise routine for ages but— Grrr! Because of that dream, I'll skip today's jogging and compensate it on afternoon, twice."
Helbram turn on the cold water and start bathing. Once he's done, he grabbed his towel and start drying his hair. After that, he headed to his closet and searches for his school uniform but then—
"Wait a minute, my Tuesday uniform isn't here!?"
That thought made Helbram's heart, raised.
Later…
He remembered that he was doing laundry yesterday, thus, he rushed wearing his house sandals. "Shoot! GOTTA FETCH IT NOW!"
Helbram trot his way towards the laundry room. Just then Evangeline came out, rubbing her eyes.
"Bram-bram sweetie, you’re awake already?"
Helbram flinched.
"Ya up for your morning exercise? But… it's still early though."
Helbram shrugs. "Guess why mimi?"
Evangeline starts guessing and an idea came. She points both of her hands at her son.
"Having nightmares again, haven't ya?" She giggles and put both her hands on her waist.
"Sorry to hear that Bram-bram! It seems you inherit your former dada's nightmare habits.”
Helbram stare at her, disappointingly.
"That's not... funny mimi."
His mother looks cheerful. "So, what are you up to? You seemed— in a hurry?"
Helbram scratches his head, looking all embarrassed. "I— forgot to fetch my uniform yesterday Mimi."
Evangeline gasped. "Oh, I thought you're preparing your Tumblr for your exercise!"
Helbram shows a pouty face. "Forget it mimi, last night's dream is horrible, making me skip my morning exercise. I'll just compensate it this afternoon, twice."
"Oh, I see. I— I guess no family dine tonight, huh?"
Evangeline's joyful tone shifted to downcast and Helbram noticed. So, the boy tries his best to cheer her.
"Do— don't worry Mimi! I'll tr—try to catch up tonight! But—! If I weren’t able to make it, please go on without me! Mikhail hates it when someone makes the food wait!"
"You two really are cats and dogs."
Helbram's mimicking cat's behavior. "Meow! Meow!" Evangeline giggles as she slightly pinch Helbram's cheeks.
"Oh, speaking of Mimik, Bram-bram, go check his lunch box. We all usually forgot those stuffs. He'll be devastated if he sees it unwashed."
"Yeah, yeah. I got it."
Helbram headed first to the laundry room, fetching his uniform. He looked around and found what he came for.
“Alas! I have found you, you little rats!”
Later…
He headed to Mikhail’s room, who is beside his room. Surprisingly, the kid’s room is unlocked, giving Helbram access.
"Hmm… it's unlocked! Heh! Who would’ve thought that kid forgot to lock his room?"
As he enters, his lil bro's room is a total mess! Helbram paused and shrug.
"No wonder he doesn’t want us to enter. All because everything's a pile of trash."
Helbram commencing searching the boy’s backpack and there, he found it. His lunchbox is lying beside him. There, it is time to leave.
At the kitchen....
Helbram lends the lunchbox and his mother starts washing.
"Seriously, that child's hardheaded!"
Helbram crossed his arms. "Cuz you spoiled him mimi."
Evangeline smiled. "C’mon bram-bram, don’t be like that! He may be your half-brother, but you two came in the same womb, hmm?"
Helbram rolled his eyes. "I know, mimi. You don’t have to remind me, but spoiling him is a different story."
Suddenly, Helbram looks dejected and remembered Mikhail's dad. "Mikhail’s dad, Jin Hyukk H. Chua, raised and treated me as his own."
In Helbram's Memory, him and Mikhail are hugged by Jin.
"But too bad, Mikhail's dad died from confrontation 5 years ago." He looks sad. "I’ve never met my biological dada but when dad Jin came, I— I thought I could finally feel what it feels to have a dada but—!?"
Evangeline felt Helbram’s yearning, so she stopped washing and hugged his saddened son.
"Bram-bram, don't welcome this day with sadness. You're making me sad too, ya’know?"
Helbram looked at his mother and smiled.
"Yeah, I'm sorry for that Mimi."
Evangeline stopped hugging and flex her chubby muscles.
"Alright! Since you're skipping your morning exercise, just prepare yourself for school. Mimi Eva will take care of everything!"
Helbram felt something is amiss.
"Umm... I... I could lend a hand with the farm, mimi! And... and, it's still early, so there’s still spare time to hel—"
Evangeline flick Helbram's forehead, making him mad.
"Wha— what was that for?!"
Evangeline smiled once more, looking all proud.
"Your dada do that when I start to worry on something I shouldn't be worrying about. And besides, this is the 7th year! As farmers, we are taught to let the land rest for a year!”
“It's one of Supreme Deity's Divine Laws taught by Nativity Deity, isn’t? So, why are you worked up for, Bram-bram?"
Helbram felt awkward.
"Oh yeah! I forgot about that!"
Evangeline pats Helbram's shoulders. "Oh sweet child, we haven't worked in our farm for 6 months straight and yesterday yet, ya forgot already?" His mother rubs her chubby cheeks to his. "Oh my sweet potato Bram-bram! Look, don't worry about the farm and focus on your studies, okay? Make your dadas proud!"
Just then, Evangeline's wristwatch beeps. "Oh? It's 4:30 A.M. now! We better start moving, Bram-bram!" She continues washing the dishes.
"Alright, I'll get going and prep for school. See ya Mimi!"
Minutes later…
He sits and wondered.
“I forgot that we let the land rest for a year.” He sighs. “Too much have happened lately that I forgot the laws imposed to us, farmers, by the Supreme Deity.”
“Sheesh! It was all that Abomination and Doom Deity’s fault! Grr!”
He laid back to his bed and looked at the ceiling. There, he remembered the blue apparition says in his dream that:
“Mankind assumes that the Sin entered the world through Heil, the Doom Deity, no? What if I told you-”
"That it was originally Rafaela, the Nativity Deity, brought the Sin to Earth? The forebearer.”
…
“He did admit, for it is the truth. Now, tell me Helbram—have you really understood the book?”
…
“It is I, who's responsible for Maeve's declining condition.”
…
"Did he speak directly that he killed the first man’s wife?”
Flashback ends…
“Did that apparition tells the truth?”
“Is it really the Nativity Deity who sinned? And- ”
Helbram remembered the scenes of the Monster and compared it to the one he glimpses on his dream visions.
“Who is that monster? Was it the Abomination told in the myths?” *great sigh* “I… what the heck’s going on? I… I don’t know what is happening! It’s giving me headache!”
Grr!
“Shove it all to Tophet!” He had enough. “Myth is a myth! Abomination is not real! That imagery is the work of my inferiority! A fear that I might be lose to Rose!”
*yawn*
“I’ll take a nap to soothe this pain.”
As Helbram says, he takes a nap.
Nothing feels wrong, ain’t it? That’s when we’re wrong.
He- overslept!
5:15 A.M.
Helbram’s peacefully sleept, together with his duck pillow. Mikhail knocks the door thrice but there’s no response.
“Wait, he’s still sleeping?”
He knocks the door again and realized it’s unlocked. Grin carved on the boy's face and entered. There, he saw Helbram hugging his duck designed pillow.
“I can’t believe he still have that plushie while sleeping.”
He draws near and wake him. “Hey, time to wake up bro! Time for school!”
Still, Helbram’s asleep.
He repeats but nothing has changed. Mikhail’s about to burst but he saw his bro's pointy ears. Again, a grin carved on his face.
“I always want to pinch those ears. Well, I guess here’s my chance!” Mikhail pinched them and Helbram woke up.
“Argh! Mikhail, stop it!”
But Mikhail enjoys it.
“Oh, not listening, are we? Well then…”
He, too, pinches Mikhail's cheeks.
“Ah! That’s enough! You’re tearing my face!”
“I’ll unhand if you stop pinching my ears!”
Both unhand themselves and breath.
“What in Tophet, Mikhail?! Why’d you do that?!” He soothes his ear.
“You wouldn't wake up so I did what I must.” He crosses his arms. “Anyway, you oversleep sleep so you better keep moving and prepare for school, you slacker!”
Helbram raised a brow. “Eh? What’s the time?”
Mikhail looks at the clock.
“It’s 5:38 A.M.”
“5:38 A.M?! Ack! I overslept!”
Mikhail rolls his eyes. “Told ya.”
Helbram strokes his lil’ bro’s hair. “Thanks for waking me up! I’d better get going!"
“Aargh! I told you to stop doing that!”
Helbram headed to the kitchen, eat his breakfast, brush his teeth, fetch his lunchbox, and unlock his bike's lock. He rides his bike and is now heading towards the school in a rush.
