The Carnival 14

A few useful things from grandmother's backpack!

We're approaching maybe the halfway point through the story (I won't know the length for sure until it's done!). The next few pages will talk about the nature of the underworld, and the next chapter about Chloe's family, but if you have questions about other things, about what's happened, about motivations, etc, feel free to ask. If there are enough, I will do some bonus Q&A pages (which will not slow down regular updates).

Three pomegranate seeds ensured Hades of Persephone's eternal companionship three months out of every year, but at the price of complicated family dynamics. Their granddaughter Chloe has opinions about how things should work, but there will be consequences for an idealistic teenage girl torn between an old-fashioned underworld and a modern mortal realm.

Chloe's adventures will lead her to places both mortal and mystical. She makes new friends and ultimately will find herself.
