Faux Order: Unraveling the Mysteries of the World

Jun 01, 2026

The next day and Micheal and Isaac were strolling through a ravine a few metres from their home.

"Aren't we there yet?" Isaac asked.

"We are almost there, the lake is just up ahead."

Isaac's eyes lit up, it was almost blinding. "We're going fishing?" he asked excitedly.

"Dunno."

Micheal's smile faded as his thoughts began to spiral. "That 'god' should be arriving today. I need to keep Isaac and Renae apart. If the worst happens…if I die, at least Isaac won't lose both of us."

His chest tightened. "Using Isaac as bait feels disgusting…but I don't have another choice."

He clenches his fists quietly. "Sam said she gave me a powerup, yet I don't feel any differently from before"

His eyes narrowed toward the path ahead. "Can a human really kill a god? And if I do…what happens to this world afterward?"

After walking for a few more minutes, they reached the end of the ravine. It opened up to a wide plain with mountains surrounding the horizon, and trees sparsely scattered around a lake directly in front of them.

"We're here! And we are about to do something a lot cooler than fishing." Micheal rubbed Isaac's head.

Isaac's face beamed with light as he stared at the scenery before him—the glistening lake, the trees dancing melodically in the wind, and the blue hue of the mountains out in the distance.

At the same time, there's a figure approaching the solar system at breakneck speeds.

"Huh? We're not here to fish?" Isaac slouched.

"Nope." Micheal's body started exuding energy and flames erected from his hoisted palm illuminating his coily black hair and deep dark skin.

"I was thinking it's about time you learn your first spell." He grinned.

"I'll be able to use spells too?" His eyes became teary, yet his face showed nothing but excitement.

"Yep, but first we need to figure out your attribute."

"However, in order to do that—" Micheal picked Isaac up by his collar and held him over the lake.

"Wait!" Isaac yelled repeatedly, as he flailed around. "I can't swim!"

Micheal ignored his cries and dropped him.

"Help!" I'm drowning!"

"Haha." Micheal laughed at him.

"Wait…I'm dry?"

Isaac slowly opened his eyes, only to see the surface of the water beneath his feet.

"It's a spirit lake," Micheal explained. "A spirit that matches your attribute will emerge."

Moments later, something flew out of the water and buzzed around Isaac before perching on his shoulder. Barely five centimetres tall, it resembled a miniature woman with two pairs of wings sprouting from her back, while gentle gusts of wind swirled around her.

"That's a wind spirit, therefore your attribute is wind. Wind is an easy element to control, so it shouldn't take long to create your first spell." Micheal lifted him from the lake.

Outer space.

"So this is where you are, my precious seed—Earth." The figure that's been soaring through space stared..

"Though by the look of things it seems they're expecting me. This is quite a troublesome contraption here, that said this barrier won't occupy me for more than a few hours." He laughed aloud.

A few hours have passed since Isaac discovered his attribute. His clothes were drenched from sweating and he was struggling to catch his breath.

"Are you sure you don't need a break?" Micheal asked.

"No. I almost had it just now, I'm giving it another try." He replied.

Deep in his thoughts, Isaac gets ready to try again. "Okay, first I must feel my core, next I need to shape it into something, a phenomenon that can be created by wind, dad said. A tornado?"

A faint breeze stirred around him, his sweating increased, but he remained focused.

"Micheal's mouth opened with excitement. "You did it!" he celebrated.

Hovering above Isaac's palm was a swirling concentration of wind—a tornado.

"Yes! I made a spell." Isaac's eyes began watering, and the spell distilled.

"It took me two weeks to create my first spell, you know."

"Really, does that mean I'm even more awesome than you are?"

"Try fifteen years from now." Micheal chuckled and crouched before Isaac, offering his back.

Isaac hopped on and they headed for the rock formation to the north-east of the lake.

"So, what's it called," Micheal asked.

"Huh?"

"That spell of yours."

"Wow, you're right, I totally forgot about that." Isaac scratched his head.

Micheal smiled. "Assigning names to your spells makes it easier for you to call upon them. By calling its name, the formation process can be done subconsciously, with enough training of course."

"Amazing."

"So, came up with anything?"

"Not yet, every time I think of something cool—I think of a name even cooler." Isaac pouted.

"How about twister?" Micheal suggested. "Remember, the whole point of a spell's name is to help with visualization."

"Lame." he shuts it down instantly.

"Aww man, and I thought that was a good one." He sulked.

"Alright then, how about—" Micheal cut his sentence.

An overwhelming force pressed him to his knees.

"This pressure. It's just like Samantha's. It must be that god." He started sweating profusely.

"Isaac." He held his son's hands. "Run back home."

"Huh? Why, what happened? I wanna train more." Isaac pulled away.

" Listen, it's part of your training."

"Get there before me and I'll teach you a spell that could blow a whole mountain away." He rubbed Isaac's cheeks. "Now Hurry!"

Isaac nodded and turned around sprinting into the ravine.

"Something must've happened, but it's fine…Dad's strong." Isaac corrected his expression.

The being descended slowly as Micheal watched. His eyes were covered with a blindfold, his blonde hair slicked back, his bare chest wrapped with a snake, and four crystal wings protruded from his back slightly detached. Micheal stared intently, as sweat trailed down his face one after another.

"Isaac…have you gotten far enough away? I'm sorry, I won't be able to teach you that awesome spell. I'll miss your graduation, please forgive me." Micheal wiped his tears.

The god's feet planted on the ground and he stood there—face to face with Micheal.

"Don't expect to do as you please just because you're a god." Micheal tensed up, activating his Eyes of Nebula.

"A god? Call me Guardian. Though, I don't deny having business with that child you let get away," Guardian replied.

"Retrieve the kid." He commanded the snake wrapped around him. "While I make quick work of his pops here."

The snake slithered down his arm and swiftly hurled towards the ravine. Flame: Incineration; Micheal beamed concentrated flames at the snake turning it to ashes. Without a moment to spare, Micheal dashed at the god; Flame: Thrusters. His right arm became engulfed in flames, increasing the force behind it tenfold. Smash! He punched Guardian in his face. The ground beneath them turned into a crater, and Guardian went flying across the terrain.

"Not bad." He regained his footing, digging a trench along the path.

Micheal however, wasn't letting up. He flew in with flames under his feet increasing velocity with every passing second.

"Sorry. But…" Guardian intercepted his flight path with his knee to Micheal's face.

Micheal went flying into the cliffside, cracking it. The dust settled and micheal was bleeding from all over.

"You've got some seriously ridiculous strength." Micheal chuckled before coughing up blood.

"I don't have time to play with you." He launched at Micheal.

He thrust his arm through Micheal's chest and raised him in the air. He held his heart through his back and crushed it between his fingers. He tossed Micheal's body to the ground and turned to the ravine. But, before he could move, the rhythm of a beating heart kept playing. Earthquakes sent cracks through the field, huge chunks of the ground started floating, and lava spewed from the depths.

"This energy…" Guardian turned to Micheal's body.

What he saw was his pool of blood, Micheal wasn't there—he turned back and there he saw him. Standing between himself and the ravine, Micheal tossed his jacket to the ground. The gaping hole in his chest was gone, and his Eyes of Nebula shined brighter than ever before. His hair turned white and four crystals began springing from his back.

"How?! You're but a mere mortal, so how is your wavelength identical to mine?" Guardian asked.

"..." Micheal remained silent.

Countless lava geysers erupted with each step Micheal took towards Guardian.

"Idiot stop moving!" He yells. "You'll doom this place."

Yet Micheal remained unfazed and kept approaching. As if the gravity in the area had been disrupted, chunks of rocks were flying upwards in accordance with Micheal's path.

"This fool. He doesn't understand what's happening." Guardian kept his gaze. "Well, whatever."

They lunged towards each other and the space around them began to crack. The space cracked open, revealing a black void.

"Dammit! No! I still haven't claimed the seed." Guardian flustered.

He turned tail and tried fleeing, but the cracks followed his every turn. The expansion of the void grew relentlessly, eventually swallowing them both up and vanishing. What remained from this scuffle was only Micheal's tattered jacket laying there on the ground amidst ruined landscape.
