LOVE SICK

LOVE SICK

Jun 02, 2026

Inside his massive, high-tech corporate penthouse office overlooking Madrid's skyline, Richard Destiano was radiating a suffocating, terrifying Alpha authority. He stood behind his floating glass desk, his dark navy three-piece suit without a single wrinkle. His expression was a stone-cold mask of absolute corporate power as he stared down at the elite private detective trembling before him.

"Let me get this straight," Richard’s voice dropped into an icy, dangerous rumble that made the windows vibrate. "You are the head of the top private intelligence firm in Europe, and you are telling me you cannot locate a single Omega? And not just any Omega—a drop-dead gorgeous one wearing a custom burgundy blazer?"

"M-Mr. Destiano, I swear we have scanned every security feed, airport passport entry, and high-society registry in Spain!" The detective sweated profusely through his suit jacket, bowing his head in terror. "To the system, this individual is a complete ghost! There is no scent trail, no background file, no record—"

"Then look harder!" Richard slammed a single, heavy hand onto his desk, making the crystal glasses rattle loudly. "He exists! I saw him with my own eyes in the palace corridor, he smiled at me, and I want his full identity file on my desk by tomorrow morning! Dismissed!"

The detective bowed frantically and sprinted out of the executive office like his life depended on it.

The moment the heavy double doors shut, Richard’s terrifying, dominant aura completely evaporated into thin air. He dropped heavily into his plush leather executive chair, pinching the bridge of his nose as his sharp features suddenly softened. A faint, uncontrollable pink blush rushed onto his cheeks just thinking about the beautiful, swollen rosy-pink eyes of the angel from the hallway.

"Where did you go, my beautiful angel...?" Richard muttered to himself, sounding incredibly soft, whiny, and completely lovesick.

*BING.*

His sleek, gold-plated smartphone buzzed sharply on the glass desk. Richard glared at it, noticing a lock-screen notification: "Emily_Destiano updated her story."

He let out a long, dramatic sibling sigh, rolling his icy blue eyes in pure annoyance. "Ugh, Emily. If I don't tap on her story within five minutes, she’s going to spam the family group chat crying that nobody supports her music influencer career... Let's just get this over with."

He reluctantly swiped the screen open to view the story, fully expecting a boring band vlog. Instead, he froze dead in his chair.

His icy blue eyes nearly popped completely out of his skull. The image on the screen was a high-resolution group selfie at a stunning, pastel-decorated shop. There was Emily smiling with a strawberry tart, a sharp-looking Alpha woman smirking in a blazer, and right in the center... was Felix.

He was wearing a pastel-yellow sweater, pouting cutely with a macaroon in his mouth, looking breathtakingly beautiful. The story was tagged in glittering letters: “At LE CHIC ARTISAN BAKERY with my new school bestie! 🥐✨”

A massive, triumphant, and incredibly smug smirk spread across his flawless face. The total unpredictability of the situation caught his inner Alpha by surprise, and it was already doing happy backflips.

He slid the ruthless tycoon mask right back on, pressing the intercom button on his desk with dangerous, calculated calmness. "Secretary. Come inside. Immediately."

The heavy doors flew open, and his panicked assistant rushed in clutching a notebook. "Yes, Mr. Destiano?! What is it?!"

"Cancel my entire corporate schedule for tomorrow morning," Richard commanded, leaning back and tapping his fingers together like a criminal mastermind. "Clear every executive meeting, every board review, and every international call."

"C-Cancel everything, sir?!" The secretary blinked in utter horror. "But you have a multi-billion-euro merger meeting with the French delegation tomorrow morning—!"

"Reschedule it," Richard waved his hand dismissively. "Tomorrow, Destiano Enterprises is hosting a spontaneous, massive 'Free Pastry Employee Appreciation Event' for all ten thousand of our corporate headquarters staff."

The secretary stared at his cold, ruthless boss like he had completely lost his mind. "...A pastry event, sir?"

"Yes. And I will be personally inspecting the vendor selection," Richard stood up, a burning, passionate fire ignites in his eyes. "Call Madrid's absolute best high-fashion clothing designers. I need a brand-new, custom-tailored suit delivered to my estate by 6:00 AM sharp. Something elegant but approachable."

He looked back down at his phone screen, zooming in on Felix's cute, pastel-sweater face. "My little sister really is a genius. I’m giving her a massive bonus this month."

By 6:00 AM the next morning, the grand foyer of the Destiano mansion was in a state of absolute, high-fashion emergency.

Dozens of elite designers, celebrity hair stylists, and personal tailors were rushing across the marble floors, dragging garment racks filled with the most expensive silks and premium wools. Luxury shoe boxes were stacked six feet high against the walls.

Diana Destiano stood near the grand staircase in her silk pajamas, sipping a morning espresso as her sharp brow furrowed in pure confusion. She tapped through her tablet, checking the family’s digital calendars. "What on earth is going on? I checked the Destiano Group schedule, the media itinerary, and the fashion house calendar. There are absolutely no red-carpet events or galas scheduled for today. Why are Madrid’s top designers invading our house at this hour?"

Dedrick Destiano strolled into the foyer, shirtless and yawning, casually spinning his football on his finger. "Man, I don't know, but they woke me up. I thought there was a fire, but it’s just people arguing over the difference between midnight black and obsidian navy."

Suddenly, Luke Destiano walked down the stairs, looking flawless with his blonde hair perfectly slicked back. He caught sight of the massive design team setting up a temporary fitting station, his icy blue eyes narrowing. "What is all this? Richard, what are you doing? I have a major scout meeting at the PTTS talent agency today. Why is my personal stylist currently trapped in our living room?"

From the center of the designer circle, Richard Destiano stepped out.

The panel framed him in a breathtaking, custom-tailored, light gray cashmere three-piece suit that screamed pure, elegant luxury. Every single line was immaculate. A celebrity stylist was frantically applying a final touch of hairspray to his dark blonde hair, while a designer adjusted his silk tie.

"Richard..." Diana stared at her oldest brother, completely baffled. "What is with the intense get-up? You look like you're about to sign a treaty to buy a small country."

"I just realized something very important this morning, Diana," Richard replied, checking his silver cufflinks, his expression perfectly cold, arrogant, and ruthless. "I am Spain’s No. 1 Most Eligible Bachelor. And I intend to keep it that way. Perfection requires constant upkeep."

Luke squinted, totally unconvinced by the corporate excuse. "Right... and you need an entire fleet of designers for a regular day at the office?"

"It is not a regular day," Richard smirked coldly, smoothing his jacket. "Destiano Enterprises is hosting a spontaneous, massive 'Free Pastry Employee Appreciation Event' this morning. Ten thousand boxes of high-class pastries. I am personally overseeing the vendor selection."

Just then, Emily Destiano walked into the salon, still half-asleep and rubbing her eyes, clutching her tablet. Suddenly, a loud PING chimed from her bank app. She looked down, her eyes widening to the size of saucers. "Oh my god! Richard! What is with the massive, multi-million-euro bonus you just wired into my student account?! Did you accidentally add too many zeros?!"

Richard turned his sharp head toward his little sister. The cold corporate mask instantly melted into a meltingly soft, deeply proud older brother smile. He walked over and patted her head affectionately. "Consider it your influencer funding, Emily. From this day forward, I promise I will never, ever forget to like, view, and share your content again for the rest of my life."

"Wait... really?" Emily blinked, completely clueless. "Because of my band vlog?"

"At first, I didn't know which bakery to pick for my ten thousand employees," Richard’s smug smirk returned as he grabbed his luxury leather briefcase. "But your social media story completely saved me. You have immaculate taste in local businesses, little sister."

Emily flushed heavily, her eyes sparkling with pride as she felt incredibly appreciated. "Aw, Richard! You're the best big brother ever! See? My content actually has a major corporate impact!"

Richard gave her a smooth, handsome nod, adjusting his lapels one last time before turning on his heel and marching out of the grand mansion like a king heading to battle, his design team trailing behind him. Emily watched the front doors close, a triumphant, proud grin plastered on her face. She turned around, holding her tablet high, looking at her remaining siblings with an arrogant shrug.

"You see that, you guys?!" Emily lectured them. "Richard watches my stories and rewards my hard work! You guys should also view my content at least once in a while! It won't kill you!"

"Nah," Luke sipped his water, looking completely unbothered, already thinking about his dance schedules.

"Nah, too much text," Dedrick spun his football on his finger, completely detached.

"Definitely nah," Diana turned back to her tablet, checking her runway models. "I only view official fashion feeds."
