Lukewarm, that's all he can feel, it was as if his whole body was submerged in a warm bathtub. Opening his eyes, for a moment, he could not see at all until his eyes adjusted to the inverment it was in. What he first noticed was their was water covering his eyes in addition to that. He was lying in a dark, lukewarm lake, and twenty pillars were partially submerged, arranged within the lake. Four of the twenty were golden and far larger than the rest.
The boy frantically glances around in the deep, dark water, looking for anything else, but all he sees is a pure black void staring back at him; there was nothing there aside from him and those pillars. That fact scared him to his very core.
Just as he thought this, a bright and shining light came from underneath him, sucking him down into the bright white light. His final thought as he began to be born was, why do those twenty pillars scare me so much? As he sinks into the shining void, he forgets about this dream, his very first dream.

Bright, that was the first word that came to his mind when he began to open his eyes for the first time. A face leans over him and gently kisses him on the forehead. The person in question was a woman with curly black hair and ruby red eyes. She stares down at him, and her smile is as bright as the morning sun.
*Who is she, and what is going on?*
As he is thinking this, he puts his hands in front of his face. They are the size of a baby's hands and were, in fact, baby hands.
Am I a baby? What's going on? Didn't I die?
As he is thinking this, the woman holding him looks over at the man standing next to her and says something.
What did she say? As he thinks this, the man picks him up and begins to hold him. The man had long straight white hair pulled back into a ponytail, with dark jade eyes and a stern expression. But behind that, there was nervousness.
The man with the long, white hair begins to repeat words over and over again, saying different words each time. To the reincarnated baby, it seemed as though the man was counting down to something.
In an instant, right in front of the baby boy's face are two orbs, one black and one white. The orbs appeared out of nowhere, almost as if they were magic. The orbs slowly drift towards the baby's face and gradually enter the baby's head, being absorbed.
What were those ball-looking things, and why did they enter my head? My curiosity is about to burst. I want to know, no, I need to know.
The man holding the baby boy has a look of relief, while the woman lying down has an excited expression on her face.
Suddenly, a knocking sound came from the door. The voices of men and women were coming from outside the room. The man with the white hair answers the door. Standing outside the door were four people. They came into the room, and one of the strangers was a woman with wavy brown hair holding a baby that looked to be an infant. Standing next to her was a tall, bearded, buff man with long blond hair and golden eyes. The infant the woman was holding was sleeping and had thin blond hair.
The other two people were a pregnant woman with messy blond hair and sharp blue eyes. Next to her was a man with short, straight purple hair and silver eyes.
The baby in the man's arms didn’t know what to do. He wasn't a baby a minute ago, he thought he was a seventeen-year-old boy who had just been killed. All he could grasp was that he was a baby and he had been reincarnated. The man with straight, white hair, who was currently holding the baby, walked to the other room, where there was a crib, and placed the baby boy down. Then, he left.
Left alone, all the reincarnated infant could do was look around. What caught his eye was what was outside the window. It was the moon, but not just one, but four big moons, all with different colors.
Looking at the moons, he began to wonder what type of world this was, and where he was, but one thing was a fact: this is not Earth, and that excites him.

Malik Moritz, that was the name his parents gave him. Since he was reincarnated in this world, two years had passed. And now he was a toddler; his parents were Victor Moritz and Elizabeth Moritz.
Victor and Elizabeth were both relatively nice people. But they both had unusual personalities. Victor was a calculated and a serious person he put a high importance on personal abilities and growth. His hobbies were reading and teaching. Elizabeth, on the other hand, was a very emotional person, her face was very easy to read. She was also caring and compassionate, but when she turned serious, she gave off a totally different aura, as if her personality had changed. Her hobbies included making clothes for her family and friends and making jewelry.
The house they lived in had a library and a workshop, with three bedrooms and an outhouse in the backyard. The house also had a big garden with bushes surrounding it.
Lying in the garden, Malik was now two years old. With his past life experience, walking was easy for him—he had gotten it down right after he started crawling. When he first started walking, his mother screamed with joy when she saw him. His father, on the other hand, was a bit concerned because Malik was walking so soon.
Getting up and walking over to his father, Malik was curious about something.
“Father, why are there four moons?” Malik asked.
Victor looks down at Malik and starts patting him on the head.
“The god of creation made the moons when he created this world,” Victor said in a matter-of-fact tone of voice.
“Father, what is the god of creation?” Malik asked while patting his hair down that his father had scruffed up.
“The god of creation is the god who made this world and the other gods. We will talk more about this after dinner.” Victor said
“Yes, father.”
This is one of the many questions that I want to ask him about. The moon was the third, the second is why can't I leave the yard? I want to explore this new world, but for some reason, my parents won't let me out of the yard. First is what those orbs were that flew into my head, but that is a hard subject to breach because it would be admitting that I have memories of when I was born. For now Ill ask why can't I leave the yard.
“Father, why can't I leave the yard?” Malik asked
Patting Malik's head, “You're too young.” Victor said
“But what if you come with me, father?” Malik asked
“Ask your mother, she will give you the answer you need. Now it is time to head inside for dinner. It's already dark outside.”
Looking up at the sky, Malik saw the four big moons. The biggest one was blue and was shining beautifully. The second biggest moon is a dull red and looks menacing. The third biggest one was green, it didn't shine either, nor did it look menacing, it was just there. The smallest moon was orange and was hardly noticeable.

Heading inside, Malik looks at his mother cooking dinner and asks, “Mother, why can't I go outside with Father?” getting straight to the question at hand.
Turning around, his mother gave him an expression Malik had never seen before. The look on her face was serious to the point it scared Malik; it was a 180 from how she usually acted. And this was a side of her that Malik never saw before.
“Since you're mature for your age, I guess it couldn't hurt to tell you. And not telling you would be a disservice to you. Help me set the table, and I will explain.” She said in a serious tone of voice.
As Malik set the table with Elizabeth helping him, he still found it hard to do everyday tasks on his own, without the help of his mother or father.
Elizabeth started to speak as she put the wooden plates down. Making sure to help Malik up on a stool so he can do the forks and spoons.
“Your mother comes from one of the four races left in this world, the iris race, and in our culture, we don't let children leave the house until they are five.” Her tone of voice made it clear that this was a serious conversation.
“Why is that, mother?” Malik asked with curious eyes. Forgetting the fact that his mother was acting any differently, driven only by his curiosity.
Elizberth went silent. At that moment, Elizabeth felt a whirlwind of indescribable emotions. “You won't understand what I'm about to say, because you're too young, but hopefully you will remember what I'm about to tell you and engrave it into your heart. May you never forget, so that I never need to repeat this. Do you understand?”
Malik nods. Finally relizing how serious this conversion is.
“When I was younger, I had a little sister. One day, she was kidnapped, and I never saw her again. No matter how hard I looked, or how many centuries have passed, I never stopped looking until I had you.”
She said this while weeping as her emotions got the best of her; now she was crying in front of her child.
“Now I'm going to explain why they kidnapped her. Listen closely, this also will affect your life,” she said, kneeling down to Malik's eye level.
“She was kidnapped because of her eyes. Our race holds a special ability to change our eye color. When we were younger, it was harder to control when it happened, and there is a way for other people to gain this ability. Only through a horrible method that strips the person of their decency and their purity.” She looked pale and her face was contorted with disgusted, she said this looking as if she was nauseous by the idea or the fact of the matter.
By the way she phrased. It sounds like this iris race ability is sexually transmitted, but a two-year-old shouldn't know what that is, so how should I respond?
As he thought about what to do next, the only thought he could think of was hugging Elisabeth to try to calm her down.
“Mother, I'm going to hug you now.” Just as Malik says this, he hugged his mother, and Elizabeth held him while weeping. After a minute, she settled down and while holding Malik in her arms, she said, “You have to promise me you will never tell anyone that you're a part of the Iris race,” Elizabeth said while holding Malik.
“Yes, mother I promise.”
“Good, now it's time for dinner, go grab your father from the library, he seems to be waiting in there.” She said this while wiping away her tears.
Agreeing to his mother's request, Malik headed over to the library, which was inside their own home. Walking into the library, there were about one hundred books, all looking rather expensive, and there, on a chair, was Victor reading a book.
Looking up from his book, Victor said, “Are you two finished with your conversation? And how did it go?”
“I learned a lot. Mother told me about her sister and about the Iris race, and we made a promise that I would tell no one I'm from the Iris race.”
“Good son, now starting today, I will begin to teach you how to read and write and the history of this world.”
“Yes, father."
“Alright then, let's go eat dinner before it gets cold.”
