Everyone excluding Theo stands before James respectively. Charlie also does his stance, but he is simmering with heavy rage at the sight of Theo.

‘’Why did you…Why did you…’’ He says, panting heavily, fire growing in his knuckles. James walks slowly, his footsteps loud. Charlie is panting heavily, ‘’Why did you…Why did you?’’ Charlie tries controlling his anger, trying to decrease the fire simmering in his veins, but he reaches a point where he can’t push it down and roars loudly, clutching his fists, ‘’Why the hell did you bring him here?!’’

James stops and looks at Theo on the bed. ‘’Calm down, Charlie.’’ He says it sternly, but Charlie ignores, ‘’Shut up headmaster! You guys didn’t even rescue me. Why?! To let this shy, attention-grabbing idiot take the spotlight?! You wanted him to save me?! I’ve had enough of him.’’

He walks slowly to him, eerily. Eyes set on Theo, ‘’His face. His hair, His eyes, His lips. I keep saying this blue-haired idiot everywhere I go. It’s making my head hurt so much that I want to kill him!’’

He blasts a large flash of fire from his hands, Theo jolts up, shouting, ‘’Stop!’’ His mind starts racing, ‘’This place is scary. I need to leave. I can’t stay!’’ Theo ignores all his injures and runs on the bed, everyone looks at him smirking, ‘’I guess we know how this will turn out huh’’ Vesper says smugly.

Theo jumps from the bed and to the door, however he suddenly gets stopped, confused. ‘’Wait, what happened?’’

It’s revealed James is holding him, ‘’Where are you running of to? Theo Anderson?’’ Theo gasps and turns to him in shock, ‘’How do you know my— ‘’ Suddenly he feels like something has punched his chest, he coughs as he flies back to the wall.

‘’Oh no, my forehead is gonna bleed again. Think, Theo, Think.’’

Theo flips and uses his legs to land on the wall, panting heavily. They all look impressed except Charlie.

‘’Wow. This boy’s really strong.’’ Sage’s eyes sparkle with amusement. ‘’He used his legs to avoid damage to his forehead. How impressive.’’ Chloe replies.

Vesper smiles, ‘’Indeed.’’

Large pain shoots up on Theo’s body, making his body ache, he drops on the bed. Cotton and dandruff everywhere.  James also smiles, ‘’You’re skilled. I’ll give you that. But remember, Theo. That’s nothing compared to what happens in this school.’’

‘’Damn you, newbie!’’ Charlie shouts in anger, as he prepares to form a large fireball, but suddenly disappears. James is now holding him, ‘’Charlie. Behave.’’ He says sternly and then suddenly disables Charlie’s firepower, James then then swings his hand and Charlie slams into the wall, hurt. ‘’Damn this group.’’

Theo is shocked, panting heavily, ‘’Did I see it right? How many powers does this guy have? Is it 3? No. He has an ability to warp people out of an area and then take possession and control their body. I think that’s the one. I think that’s how he knew me, he scanned me at the same time’’ He thinks to himself.

It’s revealed Theo was using his sight all along to see the properties of James and his abilities, ‘’He must feel powerful having a supernatural ability like that. I wonder what his will is.’’ He mutters to himself.

James clears his throat, ‘’Theo Anderson. You rescued one of our members – Charlie. And you did it without fear. No one has ever done that, Anderson. I need to know your motive.’’

Theo looks up, trembling, ‘’I…motive? I didn’t intend to save him, I-I-I…just, my powers made me feel like I’m having the-the same experience?’’

‘’I can see you have a powerful sense of sight and sense of hear ability. Also, you have powerful enhanced parkour which can make you fast and hit someone. Did you know that?’’ James says, walking around.

Theo is shocked, ‘’Wait, I have a third power?!’’

James stops walking and turns to him, ‘’You never knew?’’ Theo nods. James smirks, ‘’How surprising. Train on it, power it. Make that power your own.’’

Theo stares and is quiet. He smiles awkwardly.

‘’I’m guessing it’s your first day. Well, welcome to Aureole. It’s the school of no return indeed but it’s not all doom and gloom. The Phoenix exam is held every 6 months. Study groups compete in challenges to rise to the top and get the Phoenix Key, the key that will grant you freedom. That’s the school, That’s Aureole. And we are Team Aureole!’’ James exclaims, doing a pose. Everyone looks at him.

Sage also does it but accidentally hits a wall, making debris rain, ‘’Oops.’’ He says quietly.

Theo gulps, ‘’So, uh. Is it true there are no teachers?’’

‘’Teachers?’’ James replies, chuckling.

‘’Yeah, that’s what that shadowy figure told me. He also talked about burning the school down.’’ Theo says, looking down.

Everyone looks at Theo, shocked. Chloe shouts to him, ‘’Theo. Do you have any idea who you were talking to?!’’

‘’Those are the most dangerous people in the school, dude.’’ Vesper says, crossing her arms.

‘’Don’t tell me. Did you meet…Alex?’’ Sage asks, horrified.

Theo turns to everyone, ‘’Alex?’’ He then remembers the shadowy figure saying, ‘’you would have made a great asset to the group!’’ He gasps, ‘’Wait was that— ‘’

Charlie cuts him off, sighing, ‘’No. It wasn’t Alex. He was one of the members of the Root Burners. Alex wouldn’t make a move himself, he’s a coward. Have you forgotten about that?’’ He pops a bottle of water and drinks.

James agrees, ‘’Yeah. Alex would never look shadowy, besides. He’s way stronger to let someone like Theo defeat him. So, no. At least we have some clues.’’

Theo is staring at Charlie, ‘’He has calmed down?’’ He thinks to himself. Chloe looks at him, smiling, ‘’I know what you’re thinking. Why is Charlie not hotheaded, well, it’s because deep down he’s a softie.’’

‘’Shut up you yellow-haired moron, I wasn’t talking to you!’’ Charlie shouts. They all giggle, except Theo who looks down, thinking, ‘’The Root Burners…’’

James walks to him, ‘’So, Theo. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, but ever since you rescued Charlie, well, I thought you would make a great asset to the group. Your morals and goals align with ours and I think Team Aureole would enjoy having you. Besides, I wanted to replace Charlie.’’

Charlie stops drinking and snaps the bottle, water spilling, ‘’Replace…me?’’ He says calmly. His fists clutch, fire soaring through his veins.

Theo is shocked, ‘’Wait…no! I don’t want to join this group; I want to leave this school!’’

‘’We are your only hope, Theo. You can’t join Team Asteroids, and Team et cetera, because they are not high ranking. If you join us, you will get a taste of freedom at the end! And besides, we need someone like you.’’ James says, extending his hand.

Theo hesitates, ‘’No, I can’t. Are you sure there is no escape? Are you sure it’s to play games to get out of here? I can’t manage, it’s too-too— ‘’

‘’Alright. Since you can’t make up your mind, the only way is to fight Charlie. A full one on one, match.’’ James says, walking away, ‘’Whoever wins, stays in the group, whoever loses, leaves.’’

Theo is shocked, he shouts, ‘’No! I can’t—Please--!’’ He jumps out of bed and runs to James, but Charlie flies in and kicks Theo, making him hit the bed and drop on the floor, groaning in pain. Charlie spins around, fire flowing through his body, ‘’It’s settled. Tall man!’’
