DRESSED TO KILL

Stagelights, Synchronicities, and Stampedes

Stagelights, Synchronicities, and Stampedes

Jun 04, 2026

The arena was pitch-black and packed to the brim with roaring university students, investors, and Madrid's elite. Richard, Diana, a flustered Luke, and a blushing Dedrick sat front-row in the VIP section.
A sharp beam of magenta light sliced through the dark. Emily Destiano stood behind her glowing synthesizer, hit a heavy chord that rattled the stadium subwoofers, and spun out to launch into an electric pop-dance routine. The stage lights flashed amber as the band kicked into a heavy club beat mixed with fast Spanish acoustic chords. The crowd went wild.
The music swelled into a frantic crescendo as smoke machines filled the air. The lights snapped to a blinding white. The smoke cleared to reveal Velvet Trigger.
Felix looked incredible under the lights. His silky black hair flowed around his face, his cream silk shirt caught the glow, and his diamond earring glinted as he stepped forward. Dropping his mic, he launched into a blindingly fast, hypnotic rap verse, matching Emily's choreography beat-for-beat.
Down in the VIP seats, the Destiano siblings melted. Richard stared with a red face and a slack jaw. Luke watched in professional shock, completely won over by the rhythm. Dedrick sat lovesick and frozen, and Diana clutched her chest with pride. Felix flashed a heart-melting grin at the press, completely unaware he had turned four billionaire tycoons into his personal fan club.

Meanwhile, deep beneath the stadium, the bass thumped through the concrete. Miya moved like a shadow through the dark corridors in her crimson dress, her tactical phone tracking synthetic chemical signals.
The screen blinked green. "Velvet, do you copy? I've mapped the signal. The Elysium-9 team is moving the transport right under the stage," Miya whispered into her earpiece.
Felix's heavy post-performance breathing came through. “Copy that, bestie! I’m heading to the backstage stairs now. Don't let them move the cargo without me!”
Miya peered through the glass of the main vault. Inside, three armed cartel techs in hazard suits were frantically loading glowing blue vials of the paralyzing formula into crates. "They aren't going anywhere," Miya muttered with a cold smirk.
She screwed a silencer onto her gun and stepped up to the door as the final chorus of the song played above.
BANG!
The steel door blew off its hinges. Miya strode in as the three masked thugs spun around with automatic weapons. "Gentlemen. Your shift is officially over."
She slid low across the concrete, sweeping the first tech off his feet with a sharp crack. She sprang up, firing two quick shots to disable the second man's hands. The largest operative lunged at her with an iron pipe. Miya ducked, but her high heel caught a stray cable, throwing her off balance as the thug raised the pipe for a strike.
ZIP!
A steel zipline whistled from the ceiling rigging. Felix dropped down the cable at blinding speed, his silk shirt billowing. He released the wire mid-air and delivered a high-velocity dropkick straight to the giant's chest.
BOOM!
The operative smashed into a row of industrial containers and went out cold. Felix landed on his feet, adjusted his lapels, and popped a bubblegum bubble with a cute pout. "Phew! Made it just in time, bestie! Did you see my landing? I didn't even wrinkle the cream silk."
"Nine out of ten, Velvet. You took too long waving at the crowd," Miya said, standing up and smoothing down her crimson dress. "Let’s secure these chemical crates before the backup crew arrives."
Upstairs, the house lights flickered on, and the four Destiano siblings bolted from their front-row seats. Richard, Luke, and Dedrick shoved past each other, sprinting down the VIP corridor to reach the backstage area. Richard clutched his gold pen for another check, Luke fixed his hair to impress his dance partner, and Dedrick dug through his pockets for a sketch contract. Diana power-walked right behind them, ready to lock down her muse for the fashion line.
"Step back, both of you!" Richard hissed, his ears glowing red. "I am the primary sponsor. Backstage access belongs to executive leadership!"
"Corporate sponsorship does not give you rhythm," Luke shoved past him with a dark smirk. "He looked at me during the bridge."
"Keep dreaming!" Dedrick bolted ahead using his football speed. "I am faster than both of you combined."
The heavy backstage doors burst open. Felix sprinted out from the basement stairs, his silk shirt slightly ruffled, looking stunning. The three brothers froze, their eyes widening with lovesick hope as they reached out. "Felix—!"
Before they could move, a massive roar shook the hall. "KYAAAAAA!!! IT'S THEM!!!"
A crowd of five hundred screaming students and sports fans broke through the auditorium barriers. They missed Felix entirely and swarmed Spain's three most eligible bachelors.
"DEDRICK, SIGN MY FACE!!!" a fan yelled.
"LUKE, TEACH ME THE TANGO!!!" another shouted with a camera.
A human wall of fans buried the brothers instantly. Richard's cashmere jacket was pulled in every direction, Luke drowned in flashing phones, and Dedrick vanished under a mountain of sports supporters.
"SECURITY! NOBODY TOUCH THE CASHMERE!!!" Richard shrieked.
"My hair! Let me out!" Luke choked out as his style was ruined.
Felix paused by the exit, tilting his head with a deadpan giggle. He flashed a sassy peace sign. "Being a boyband is tough. Sucks to be you, giants. Bye!"
He pushed through the emergency doors and slipped into the night with Miya, leaving the frantic billionaire Alphas trapped by their own fame.
