The BloodRose Waltz

ACT I-IX (Part 16)

ACT I-IX (Part 16)

Jun 07, 2026

…

Isaac was sat upon his bed, a large cloak shrouding his presence, faint shreds of moonlight reflecting upon his skeptical face. In his hands, pages full of wonder were waiting to be unleashed into the limelight, a whole world conjured from his very mind. He took a look outside the window, gazing at the unforgiving night, knowing that the hairbringer of his demise was closing ever near. A weary breath was born from within his lungs, soaring over the desolate room. He shook his head in annoyance, wishing to snap himself out of those mindlessly dreadful thoughts.

Enough worrying and agonizing.

The moment everyone’s been waiting for was right around the corner, and it was him who stood as the bridge between fiction and reality. Without sparing a single more moment in solitude, he treaded along the hallway, a walk so absurdly short, yet so abnormally heavy. At last, the mighty storyteller entered the stage, eager to unveil the universe he crafted with his own words…

… Once, in a land long forbidden by its maker, there existed nothing but the howling abyss and the treacherous winds. Not a single sprout of life could be met, not the most minor organism. It was a loathsome plane, inhabited only by the endless frost, and the icy mountain peaks. The sun was hidden behind layers of ash, and the moon wept tears of crystal every single night, raining countless glaciers upon the frigid hills and flatlands. In such extreme conditions, one would be utterly foolish to even assume the possibility of the most minute shred of existence being hatched in this arctic tundra. However, one would be even more foolish to consider that it was purely impossible for such irregularity to occur, for as long as chances are not reduced to absolute zero, there shall always exist a path towards creation.

Be it chance or fate, someway, somehow, life had managed to find its way over to this loathsome realm. Situated within the monochrome white kingdom, an exceptionally small seed had miraculously sprouted from the barren ground, majestically welcoming the realm with all its pristine elegance. The sun that had spent eternity covering himself from the world’s embrace, shone once more, all so he could provide light for our little seed, to evolve and grow into something beyond beautiful. The moon that mourned the forsaken earth, ceased its sobbing, wholeheartedly rejoicing the seed’s birth. As the days passed and the two celestial bodies used more and more of their powers, the harsh blizzards ended their onslaught, and the coats of frost that had buried the ground began to thaw and wash away.

Under their continuous care and protection, the minor seedling ascended far above the earth, transforming into a lustrous blossom, dressed in stunning golden petals, housing a shining orb in its mouth. With gleaming rays falling right atop its body, the matured flower spread outerwards, pushing its adored fabrication to the sky, beholding the final stage of its evolution. Cracks and rifts erupted atop the sphere’s surface, before shattering the shell into pure dust, revealing the mystical gift it had to offer to this fractured world. Opening its tender eyes, the creature gazed upon the earthly surface, observing the peculiar mystery of creation. Far into the horizon, it could notice the frozen mountaintops, yet in its close proximity, it was shielded by an oasis of warmth and solace.

Alas, its newfound peace was quickly interrupted, cascading harshly towards the ground that had began to shift and tremble violenty. Over the cold horizon, a legion of giant reptilian predators approached the secluded haven, their soles spanning so widely, that each step made the very planet quake. Whoever they were, they didn’t seem to bare good intentions.
