My boyfriend is a secret billionaire

The Two-Year challenge

The Two-Year challenge

Jun 08, 2026

My brain fully freezed, but after thinking for some time, a sharp clarity washed over me.

I knew what I had to do. I have to win this at any cost. There was no other choice.

If I wanted to save my dream of being a doctor, I had to play his game and beat him at it.

"Dad, I will accept," I said, my voice steady as I looked him in the eye.

"But few conditions. I have my own terms for this deal."

My dad didn't flinch. He just gave me a calm, unreadable look.

"Whatever name it is. Tell me, Sanjay."my dad

"Dad, I want to work as a normal employee," I stated firmly.

My dad, Martin, immediately cut me off with a sharp tone.

"Never. You can't face a small problem, and I don't accept it. You want to pretend to be ordinary? You won't survive a single hardship out there."

"Dad, I am not telling you that I want to face hardship," I argued, leaning across the desk.

"Listen to me. If I introduce myself as the heir of this company, how will I ever know the truth?

If I really like a girl, how can I be sure she also truly likes me? I want a girl choose sanjay and sanjay Roy.

If she likes me truely What if I think may be wrong. She might just come for the money.

If this question raises in my mind, that’s it. I can't tell anything for sure. I need to hide my identity so I can find real love."

My dad remained silent for a long moment, analyzing my words. He knew my logic was airtight.

To find a girl who loved Sanjay and not the Roy fortune, the billionaire name had to disappear.

"Second condition, Dad," I continued, pressing my advantage.

"If I like a girl, but you don't like her, and if you try to blackmail her behind my back while acting normal in front of me, this deal will cancel immediately. You will not interfere."

"Third. Never try to keep a spy on me. I want total privacy. We always talk in private, and you will never try to reveal my identity to anyone in the office. We are just strangers at office time."

My dad stared at me, evaluating the iron will I was displaying.

Finally, he gave a slow, deliberate nod. The terms were set.

Now, I will sign this contract.

I picked up the pen, firmly wrote my signature on the thick legal documents, and left from there.

From tomorrow onwards, I have to go to the office. My life as a doctor was officially on pause.

Back in the study, the heavy oak doors had barely closed behind me when John looked over at my father.

The chief assistant had a look of deep concern on his face.

"Sir, can I ask one thing?" John asked quietly.

"Why don't you just tell Sanjay to become a doctor? If you just let him go, I think this problem don't raise at all. Why force this corporate challenge on him?"

Martin Roy looked out the grand window at the flashing lights of the city skyline, a heavy sigh escaping his chest.

"John, that is what you mistaken," my father said, his voice dropping into a rare, vulnerable whisper.

"That time, he is premature. If I say no to him back then, he will think of me as a villain. Even if we have money, the regret he has will carry life long. I know how bitterness can ruin a person."

He turned back to face his loyal assistant.

My dad "If i accepted my dream, I wouldn't be here today. I don't want my son to regret for anything in his life. This is also for him. I can ask him or force him to marry a girl, and he will accept out of duty. But what is the use of a marriage without genuine love?"

John bowed his head, finally understanding the true depth of the grandmaster's plan.

Martin Roy wasn't trying to break his son; he was trying to build him.

"Let's see," my father muttered, his eyes narrowing with a familiar, sharp intensity.

"Tomorrow is interview day. Just select Sanjay. Don't leave any information about him to the departments. Let him start from the absolute bottom."

John smiled respectfully. "Yes, Sir."

The morning came entirely too fast.

I rushed to my dad's office building, my heart hammering against my ribs.

He gave me a normal desk job, but I have to learn from the corporate experts also.

I was stripped of my luxury, dressed in a standard suit, with no one aware that the owner's son was sitting in the room.

In that interview day, I am eagerly waiting for a soulmate.

I sat at my new, modest cubicle, trying to keep my eyes open after a restless night.

Suddenly, a beautiful girl came walking into the department.

She had a striking appearance, and she immediately caught the attention of everyone in the room.

I started moving toward her, intending to introduce myself, but my ego stopped me.

I pulled myself back, a familiar arrogance rising in my chest.

Why should I go and talk to her? I thought, straightening my tie. With my charm and handsome look, she will definitely choose to come and talk to me first.

I sat back down in my office chair, acting completely indifferent.

Sure enough, after some time, she came straight to me. She walked up to my desk, a bright, confident smile on her face.

"Hi, my name Clara," she said, her voice smooth and engaging.

"Hi, my name is Sanjay," I replied, maintaining a cool, professional exterior.

But inside, a triumphant smirk crossed my mind. Oh, my poor dad, you gave me two years to find a girl. I think one month is enough. You completely underestimate your son.

Clara was assigned to a desk right near mine.

By the end of the day, she called me out to join a welcome party for the new hires.

I noticed very quickly that this girl, Clara, always finds a reason to talk to me.

She was constantly hovering around my desk, dropping subtle hints and flashing beautiful smiles.

But I don't know why, I am avoiding her.

A strange, subconscious instinct deep inside my gut was telling me to keep my distance.

As a doctor, I had spent years analyzing human behavior, and one thing about her behavior stood out.

I can clearly remember one thing: she is greedy. I noticed the way her eyes lingered on the luxury watches of the senior managers.

I watched her try to talk bad about other candidates or scold the junior interns easily whenever she thought no one was looking.

She wore a perfect mask, but the cracks were already showing.

I need to escape her, I realized, a cold jolt of caution hitting me.

But I have to see what happens next. I need to observe her more before I completely write her name in my diary.

Before I could pack up my bag to leave for the night, Clara leaned over my desk, her perfume filling the air.

"Sanjay, tomorrow is my welcome party," she said, her eyes locked onto mine with an intense, demanding look.

"You have to come. No excuses."
I looked at her beautiful face, feeling the invisible web tightening around me.

"Okay," I said, forcing a polite smile.

I agreed to go, but deep down, a heavy wave of anxiety filled my chest. I don't know her real plan.

I don't know what she is truly chasing to like me.

My double life had just begun, and the corporate chessboard was already turning deadly.
