Then the stranger calmly spoke— “Do you want me to kill them for you?” Kang Jun froze. The steam from the ramen slowly drifted into the cold night air between them. “…Really?” His voice sounded quieter than before. “If I say yes… you’ll really kill them?” The stranger tilted his head slightly. “Why would I joke about something like that?” “We don’t even know each other.” “That’s exactly why I’m asking if you’re serious or not.” “Hm…” The man leaned back lazily in his chair, staring at Jun with unreadable eyes. “I’m serious.” “But only on one condition.” “What…?” Kang Jun narrowed his eyes suspiciously. Inside his mind, countless thoughts immediately started cursing. I knew it. This fucking pervert. I bet he’s going to ask me to sleep with him. Ah, fuck… Why do I attract nothing but crazy bastards? Before Jun could say anything else— the man suddenly spoke loudly. “BE MY BOYFRIEND.” “…What?” Kang Jun stared at him like he had just lost his mind. “What the fuck are you even saying?” “Do you know me from before or something?” The stranger casually shook his head. “No.” “This is the first time I’ve ever seen you.” He rested his chin against his hand while quietly staring at Jun. “But you looked interesting.” “That’s why I asked.” “And I’m serious about it.” The cold wind blew past them. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Only the distant sound of traffic and the humming neon sign above the convenience store filled the silence. Kang Jun let out a dry laugh. “…You’re insane.” “Probably.” The man answered without hesitation. Jun frowned slightly before studying his face more carefully. His features didn’t really look Korean. The sharp nose. Light eyes. Tall build. Even the way he spoke felt different. “You don’t look Korean.” “Are you American or something?” The stranger nodded once. “Yeah.” “I’m American.” “I came here to kill someone.” Jun blinked. The man continued speaking so casually that it almost sounded normal. “I already killed him.” “He was supposed to be my last target.” “I was thinking about quitting after this.” Then his eyes slowly returned to Kang Jun. “But if you become my boyfriend…” A small smile appeared on his lips. “I’ll kill every person you want.” Silence. Kang Jun could only stare at him in disbelief. The steam from the ramen had already disappeared into the cold night air. But somehow— the stranger’s words still lingered heavily inside his mind. “So…” The man leaned slightly closer. “What do you say?” Kang Jun stared at him silently. This man was insane. Completely insane. A stranger who casually talked about murder while asking me to become his boyfriend— How was I supposed to trust someone like that? But at the same time… For the first time in years— someone had looked at me with interest instead of lust. It felt strange. Uncomfortable. Yet somehow… warm. Jun slowly lowered his eyes toward the now cold ramen in front of him. Then he quietly laughed under his breath. My life was already ruined anyway. Could it really become any worse? “…Hah.” “You’re seriously crazy.” “Probably.” The stranger smiled lightly. Silence filled the air once again. After a long moment, Kang Jun finally spoke— “…Fine.” The man blinked once. “Fine?” Jun looked away awkwardly, clearly irritated. “I said okay.” “But if you turn out to be another fucking pervert…” His tired eyes slowly returned to the stranger. “I’ll kill you myself.”
