[BL]Threads Re-spun: A Second Chance at Chaos

Chapter 02

Chapter 02

Jun 10, 2026

The ceramic shattered, and hot chocolate sprayed across the floor as the cup flew from Yan Shou's hand. He collapsed onto the tiles, landing right on top of the jagged shards. He stayed on the floor for a few long seconds before struggling to stand back up. Sharp scratches on his skin were already starting to bleed, but he remained perfectly silent, looking more pitiful than ever.

Finally, Principal Lin's anger flared to the breaking point. He slammed his hand against the table with a loud thud and stood bolt upright in his chair.

"Mrs. Fang Huilian!" he shouted, his voice booming and echoing through the outside corridor. "This is a university, not your home! How dare you beat a child right in front of me!"

Fang Huilian stood frozen. In her moment of negligence, she had completely forgotten she had an audience. Her mask had been torn off right in front of the Principal. Even the students standing behind Haotian were in shock after seeing this side of her.

Now, there was nothing she could do. Principal Lin rubbed his temples, trying to control his temper, then looked at Yan Shou.

"Yan Shou, the document regarding you living in the school dormitory... I've approved it. Here it is." He pulled out a piece of paper to hand it over, but then he stopped. As Yan Shou reached out, blood was seeping from the scratches on his palm.

"Let it be," the Principal sighed, his voice softening with pity. "I will personally assist you and see to it that you move into the dormitory right in front of my eyes." He glanced at Fang Huilian, who was still fuming but forced to remain quiet under his gaze.

After discussing a few more details and giving a final warning to Haotian, the Principal dismissed everyone, telling Yan Shou to visit the nurse's office to treat his wounds.

Everyone turned to leave the principal's office. Yan Shou followed, giving a polite nod to the Principal before stepping out. As soon as they were a short distance away in the corridor, Fang Huilian spun around and slapped him across the other cheek.

"You bastard! It's all because of you!!" she yelled. "You've become brave, haven't you? Now you've started planting plots against me!"

Yan Shou remained standing still, not uttering a single word in his defense. Just how he had done the exact same thing in his past life. Seeing his silence, she raised her hand to strike him again, but a group of teachers happened to be passing by, forcing her to stop mid-action.

"Come home, and I will deal with you there," she whispered harshly, before turning to leave with Haotian and his friends.

Yan Shou watched their retreating figures, then started walking toward the nurse's. office to tend to his wounds. Even though his hand stung with pain, a small smile played on his lips. He actually wanted to laugh out loud at Fang Huilian's pathetic state, but he dropped the idea to maintain his image. For the first time, he was feeling truly good.

In his past life, Fang Huilian had always humiliated him in front of everyone, and Yan Shou had never dared to utter a single word.

She had mistaken his silence for weakness-but in this life, he would make her and her children lose everything they cherished.

Yan Shou entered the nurse's office, but there was no one around. He walked toward the desk and filled out his entry in the logbook. Taking some medicine and a mirror with him, he sat on the edge of the bed. He bandaged his hands first, then began treating his cheeks, which had already swollen like a balloon.

"That woman really does have some strength," he muttered to himself. "She acts all fragile in front of her husband, but her hands are like iron."

The moment the cotton touched his skin, a sharp sting flared across his face. He winced, suddenly regretting his decision to let her slap him.

I'll make sure her son pays for this with interest the next time I even catch a glimpse of him. He thought to himself.

After applying the medicine, he grabbed an ice pack and left the nurse's office. Even though the Principal had already given him permission to live in the dormitory, he still needed to go back to that house to get his belongings. Suddenly, the pain in his cheek seemed to vanish, replaced by a grim realization: when he went back there, he was definitely going to get more wounds.

'Why is my life so miserable?' he yelled internally. 'No, this won't do. I need to think of something. If I'm suffering, I'm going to make sure everyone else suffers with me.'

"Hehehehe..." Yan Shou let out a sinister little laugh to himself before running toward his classroom to grab his bag.

By the time he reached the room, it was already empty. Classes had finished for the day, though many students stayed behind to earn extra credits in their club rooms.

Yan Shou had never joined a club. To be more accurate-no one would take him. Everyone at the university knew the rumor that he was the child of a mistress, and no one wanted to be associated with someone like him. Even in class, he always sat alone. There were even rumors that he had a "sugar daddy."

'Guys, wake up, Yan Shou thought, wanting to scream it in their faces. 'If I actually had one, I wouldn't be wearing these old clothes or struggling to eat until my stomach was full.'

He never dared to say it out loud, though. Fang Huilian never gave him a cent, and he never expected anything from his father. He had to survive on his own, working multiple part-time jobs just to afford bread so he could save every penny. The lunch at the university was expensive as hell- to be expected from a top-tier university.

Yan Shou walked straight toward the bus stop to head back to the house. But suddenly, an idea clicked in his mind. He gave a devilish smile, thinking of something clever, then pivoted and started running in the opposite direction from the bus stop.

He didn't stop until he reached the infirmary that was near his university. He bought something there, laughing to himself, and then happily began the walk toward the house.

"It's time for a showdown."

A short while later, Yan Shou stood in front of the massive house, staring at it. He took a deep breath and stepped through the gate. His eyes swept across the grounds as he walked inside. This was the same house where everyone had despised him, ignoring him as if his existence didn't even matter.

In this place, he had been beaten even when he had done nothing wrong. Even the servants never treated him with respect, they looked down on him, thinking he was lower than a mere commoner in his own home.

But this time, he was back with something that would shake the lives of everyone in this house. He slowly opened the door and found no one there, but he knew it was just the silence before the storm.

He walked forward, scanning the room in silence. He felt a presence behind him, but before he could turn to look, someone kicked him hard from the back.

He fell to the floor with a heavy thud.

"Hahaha!" someone laughed loudly from behind. Yan Shou forced himself up from the ground, the sharp sting returning to his palms.

He turned around to look back, and there she was... Yan Feifei, his one and only stepsister.

She loved to torture him. Whenever she did something wrong, she would simply slide the blame onto Yan Shou and get away with it a second later. Yan Shou despised her more than words could say; his reasons were so endless that he could have written a whole novel on them.

She sauntered toward him and stood right in his face. "I heard that you embarrassed Mom in front of the Principal. You've grown some wings, haven't you?"

She raised her foot to stomp on Yan Shou's toes, but he stepped back just in time. The force of her own missed stomp caused her to slip. To regain her balance, she had to stand there with her legs wide apart, looking like a horse that needed to pee.

Yan Shou almost burst into laughter but quickly restrained himself.

"You dare to dodge?!" she erupted at him, her face twisting in rage.

As she was about to hit him again, a thunderous voice rang out from behind them.

"What is happening here?!”
