DRESSED TO KILL

ESPRESSO PHERMONES AND AMBER SHADOWS

ESPRESSO PHERMONES AND AMBER SHADOWS

Jun 10, 2026

The sleek, customized scissor doors of the matte-black hypercar hissed shut, echoing through the empty expanse of the penthouse's private subterranean garage. Felix stepped out into the secure elevator lobby, exhaling a quiet, lazy breath. Even on a casual Tuesday morning, he looked effortlessly, beautifully sexy. He had just wrapped up a quick morning run to the local high-end arts supply depot to grab a fresh bundle of charcoal blending pencils, but the crisp morning air had done little to wake him up. His shaggy, texturized black undercut wolf-cut hair was a messy, adorable crown around his porcelain face, a few loose strands framing his eyes. He wore an oversized, chunky pastel-orange knit sweater that hung completely off his right shoulder, exposing his pale collarbone and highlighting the distinct, mesmerizing beauty mark sitting directly at the center of his throat. Paired with casual white linen shorts and soft cotton socks, he looked like a harmless, sleepy art student rather than an elite international specialist.
He popped a strawberry bubblegum bubble with a sharp, loud POP, balancing his thick sketchbook under his arm as the private elevator doors chimed melodically, opening directly into the grand penthouse living room.
"Miya, bestie! I’m back!" Felix shouted cheerfully toward the kitchen corridor, a wide, innocent smile brightening his face. "You will not believe the high-society traffic on the main avenue today! The local arts department is losing its mind over the gala layout! Did you finish scrubbing those flour-covered bowls, or are you still—"
Felix suddenly froze mid-stride in the center of the plush white velvet lounge.
An heavy, metallic silence hung inside the penthouse, thick enough to cut with a bread knife. The massive kitchen double doors were flung wide open, revealing a completely abandoned space. The marble countertops were pristine, the sink was entirely empty, and the decrypted data files regarding The Phantom Alchemist were still pulsing quietly on the tactical satellite console in the corner.
But Miya wasn't there.
Felix pouted his plush rosy lips in pure, cute confusion, his big pink eyes blinking as he scanned the empty rooms. He walked over to the kitchen counter, but as he crossed the threshold, his senses suddenly caught a distinct, intoxicatingly thick aroma hanging heavily in the air. Thanks to the high-tech scent patch firmly secured behind his left ear, his own pheromones were completely locked down, keeping him a total, undetectable scentless void to the outside world—but the sheer biological potency of the lingering scent in this room was completely overwhelming.
The air smelled intensely of bitter dark espresso, sharp cedarwood, and a suffocatingly expensive metallic silk.
Felix subtly reached behind his ear, confirming with his fingertips that his high-tech blocker patch was still operational and pristine. His texturized wolf-cut hair swayed gently as he leaned down and sniffed the cushion partitions of the white velvet sofa, his deadpan expression twisting into absolute, comically blunt disbelief.
"Wow..." Felix muttered comically to himself, blowing a massive bubblegum bubble that almost covered his nose. "What on earth happened in this living room last night? It smells like a literal coffee factory exploded inside a flower boutique. Miya’s cedarwood pheromones are completely fried, and that fashion mogul's white lily scent is literally everywhere."
He pulled out his gold-plated smartphone, his slim fingers quickly tapping open his encrypted text thread with his older sister.
FELIX'S TEXT TO MIYA:
"Hey, bestie... 🤨 I just got back to the penthouse and it’s completely empty. The entire apartment smells like a double Alpha boxing match. Did you accidentally launch a tactical chemical raid inside our lounge, or did Diana officially kidnap you with a measuring tape? Text me back, I’m starving and you didn't leave any croissants on the counter! 🥐✨"
He pressed the send button, completely, sassily oblivious to the fact that his tough older sister was currently trapped inside an ultra-luxury five-star hotel suite across the city, completely dazed and blushing after a passionate, pheromone-heavy Alpha night.
Felix tossed his phone onto the velvet sofa, letting out a cute, lazy little sigh as he walked toward the refrigerator to hunt for leftover snacks—utterly clueless that the secondary high-society romance of his cover team had officially exploded

The storm raging over Madrid showed no signs of breaking. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel suite, jagged streaks of lightning sliced through the midnight sky, illuminating the heavy downpour that lashed against the glass panels. Inside, the atmosphere was thick with a completely different kind of tempest—one driven by a suffocating, intoxicating haze of competing Alpha pheromones that turned the air sweet, heavy, and dizzyingly dangerous.
Diana Destiano lay flush against the silk sheets, her platinum-blonde hair spilled wildly over the pillows like a crushed halo. Her supermodel frame, usually so rigid and imposing on the global runway, was trembling with a sudden, overwhelming rush of biological heat. Her emerald-green designer gown was beautifully rumpled, the expensive fabric slipping off her shoulders as she stared up at the woman hovering directly over her.
Miya’s hands were planted firmly on either side of Diana’s head, her fingers digging slightly into the plush mattress. Her baker's apron was long gone. In its place, her form-fitting black under-armor shirt clung tightly to her toned, athletic torso, radiating a blistering body heat that made Diana’s inner Alpha whimper in pure, dazed submission. The scent of bitter dark espresso and sharp cedarwood was pouring from Miya's neck in heavy, suffocating waves, completely choking out the fragile aroma of white lilies that usually protected the fashion queen.
"Miya..." Diana breathed out, her voice a breathless, love-struck whine that she couldn't suppress if she tried. Her chiseled cheeks were burning a catastrophic shade of bright, radiant crimson. "Your pheromones... they are completely lawless. I can't... I can't think straight."
"Then don't think," Miya murmured, her voice a deep, velvety, and commanding rumble that sent a sharp, electric shock straight down Diana's spine.
Miya leaned down, her lips capturing Diana’s in an intensely passionate, bruising kiss that completely severed whatever remaining sanity the fashion mogul possessed. Unlike their clumsy encounter under the rainy streetlights, this was a deliberate, hyper-dominant claim. Miya’s tongue slid past Diana's lips with an intoxicating, demanding heat, drinking in her dazed gasps. Diana’s hands shook as her primitive instincts fully took over, her manicured fingers frantically tangling into the short, dark waves of Miya's hair to pull her closer, completely caught up in the raw, burning velocity of the night.
Miya broke the kiss for a single fraction of a second, just long enough to let their heavy breathing mingle in the amber shadows. She trailed her lips down the sharp edge of Diana's jawline, her breath hot against the skin as she located the rapidly pulsing, sensitive Alpha scent gland resting on the curve of Diana's exposed neck.
Diana let out a sharp, helpless gasp, her back arching completely off the silk sheets as a massive, shuddering wave of pheromone overload wrecked her frame. "¡Dios mío...! Miya... please..."
Miya didn't answer with words. She nipped softly at the pulsing skin of the gland, deliberately releasing another crushing wave of cedarwood scent that permanently locked the fashion queen into absolute biological submission. Diana’s long legs wrapped tightly around Miya's waist, pulling the dominant artisan flush against her hips as their combined pheromones began to violently mingle and burn together, thick enough to fog up the glass panels of the room.
The midnight hours dissolved into a blur of breathless heat, whispered commands, and absolute, unyielding surrender under the amber lights of the suite. The fierce fashion matriarch of Spain, usually so cold and unapproachable to the high-society world, found herself entirely, hopelessly anchored to the beautiful, dangerous artisan who had broken through her defenses.
By the time the storm outside finally began to quiet down into a soft, steady hum, the room had settled into a warm, heavy peace. The sheets were thoroughly tangled around them, and the suffocating pressure of their Alpha pheromones had softened into a deeply comforting, intertwined aroma of sweet espresso and quiet lilies.
Diana lay curled tightly against Miya’s powerful chest, her eyes heavy and watery with a deep, genuine adoration as she listened to the steady, reassuring beat of Miya's heart. Her face was still burning a beautiful, shy shade of pink, but she felt a profound sense of safety she had never experienced in her entire billionaire life.
"Miya..." Diana whispered softly into the dark, her fingers gently tracing the edge of Miya's jaw. "I am completely, entirely yours. I don't care about your tragic past, or whatever dangerous operations your family is running... I am never letting you go."
Miya opened her eyes, a soft, genuinely lovesick smile breaking across her chiseled features as she pulled the fashion queen closer into her arms, kissing the top of her platinum hair. "And I'm not going anywhere, Diana. The administrative parameters of your heart are officially mine now."
