Too late to let it go

What Mark Was Told

What Mark Was Told

Jun 12, 2026

Mark didn't usually get involved in things that weren't said directly.
But Ohm had a habit of forcing involvement.
Earlier- Quiet corner.
''Oh okay okay-listen,''Ohm whispered
dramatically leaning way too close.
Marl looked at Him.
''Don't start.''
''I already started,'' Ohm said
Then lowered his voice even more.
''...That guy from the elevator.''
Mark's eyes shifted slightly
''Which one?''
''My cousin,'' Ohm said casually.
''Arnold.''
A pause
Mark didn't react immediately.
''..And?''
Ohm leaned back.
Then pointed like he was sharing classified information.

''He knows Tua from past.'' Ohm said.
Mark frowned slightly.
Ohm continued quickly-
''And listen-don't tell Tua.''
A finger pointed
''Seriously.Don't.''
Mark looked at him.
''..Why?''
''Because Arnold is weird about it,'' Ohm shrugged.
He doesn't say things properly. He just watches.''
A pause.
''...And I think he's stuck on Tua or something.''
That made Mark stop fully.
''..Stuck.''
''Oh I don't know the correct word,'' Ohm waved it off.
''But he looks at him too much.''
Mark didn't respond immediately.
Just processed.
Then-
''Got it.''
Ohm narrowed his eyes.
''You're not going to say anything, right?''
Mark shook his head.
''..No.''
''..I won't tell him.''
But something changed after that conversation.

Present - Clinic.
Tua was sitting at his desk.
Normal.
Acting normal.
Trying to be normal.
Mark stood nearby.
Observing.
And now-
aware.
Arnold wasn't someone..
Who was letting it go
''The things that happened in Past.''
Mark's eyes shifted slightly towards Tua.
''...Eat something,'' he said again.
Tua blinked
''No you didn't,'' Mark replied calmly
Tua sighed.
''You're get annoying.''
Mark didn't respond.
But he stayed closer than before
Because now-
He wasn't just being present.
He was being intentional.
