In the misty red dark area of the hideout, James is on the gigantic dog’s back, like a camel. ‘’You know, you should really teach your dogs some manners.’’ The dog barks demonically at James, and turns around, trying to swallow him whole. ‘’Alright. It’s time.’’ James jumps, flips, and removes buttons from the jetpack. He sees LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH options and presses high, multiple boosters release from behind and then blast James in the air, he is flying in full speed, managing to dodge the gates and dogs. ‘’This is so fast!’’ He screams as he passes rotating platforms.

Shade and Roy are on the ground, shocked. ‘’Boss. Let us handle this.’’ Roy pleads. Alex puts his hand Infront of them, ‘’No.’’ He looks up at him, smiling maniacally. ‘’No.’’ His eyes flash red, as his smile widens, ‘’Big…Brother.’’

He is standing there, frozen. Gazing at him in awe, pupils dilated. James is flying with the jetpack, going under platformers, going up at dogs, and dodging, he sees Alex’s face, staring at him. He Is shocked, but smiles, ‘’I know you wouldn’t ignore me.’’

Alex is still staring at him, he remembers the times where James held his hand, the times where James came for him when no one came, the times where he tried to help in. Those memories make Alex tremble with laughter, ‘’Brother.’’

He snaps his fingers, and the mist fades away, it is revealed to be a city. But like a  globe, with multiple barriers behind. The skyscrapers and roads shine and drip with a neon aesthetic. Multiple auras of light shining on Alex, as he holds his face in laughter. The laughter builds up, he starts chuckling, and then it reaches a point where he laughs wildly, on top of his lungs, ‘’I c-can’t— ‘’

He stares at James’s face flying in full speed towards him, ‘’I c-can’t believe it. My big brother has finally come, after all these years. The last time I saw him was at that failed Phoenix Exam, he now looks taller, stronger, and yet he is 19 years old, he looks like he’s 30. He has come for me? Why? Are we reunited?’’

‘’You can’t escape from me, little brother!’’ James shouts as he tries reaching his hand towards Alex, however, James hears a scream.

‘’James ! Save me!’’ Vesper shouts from afar.

James stops and freezes, he turns around and finds Vesper being tied up, about to be thrown into a fire, ‘’James! Please!’’ She pleads with tears in her eyes. James is shocked, ‘’I was so focused on Alex, that I forgot why I came here in the first place.’’

Alex extends his hand, ‘’You want to hold me tightly again? C’mon big bro, hold me!’’

James snaps his head, ‘’What should I do?’’ He thinks. His heart beating, ‘’If I go rescue Vesper then Alex will run away. This is my only chance to get our top target. But if I focus on Alex, then Vesper will be shredded. Is there any other way?’’ He thinks, conflicted between the screams of Vesper and Alex extending his hand, ‘’Did he plan this all along?’’ He thinks, ‘’Is he testing me?’’ He is hyperventilating, ‘’I…don’t know what to choose.’’

He looks at Alex’s eyes, and at Vesper’s. ‘’One is my brother and one is my teammate to getting out. Which one should I prioritize?’’

He suddenly gets kicked away, confused. He then smashes on the road, rolling over and hitting a pole, screaming, ‘’Vesper!’’

The rope cuts and drops Vesper, screaming. James is shocked, ‘’No!’’ The fire burns, it has become large, steam and ashes rising. ‘’No.’’ He says, bewildered. He can’t believe this is happening.

‘’James!’’

James drops from the pole and smashes his head on the road. He then sees Vesper standing before him, in a forcefield, ‘’I kicked you there. Please, defeat Alex.’’ She clutches the hair strands tightly, ‘’I’ve already done my part.’’

James is shocked, ‘’What?’’ He thought she was dead, ‘’Are you a ghost?’’

‘’No, I used a forcefield to survive. Now, please. Take care.’’ She descends into the shadows, leaving James stunned, ‘’Thank you.’’ He sniffs, ‘’I thought you were dead.’’

Alex looks at James in disgust and anger, ‘’So those brainwashed ants are what you prioritize, brother?!’’ James stands up, clutching his fists, ‘’No. I prioritize them because they are my friends. The same goes for you, brother! Would you let one of your Root Burners burn to ash?’’

Alex chuckles darkly, ‘’Of course, I will. After all, there are nothing but pawns in my game. I would rather save someone related to me than someone who’s not at all. What’s the point?’’

James clenches his jaw, ‘’What’s the point? What’s the point? What happened to you, Alex. Were you always nihilistic?’’

‘’No, but the school burned my optimism to the ground. I rarely see the fun in things anymore, and that’s why I want to burn it down!’’ Alex shouts, laughing.

‘’No! Killing one thousand people just to prove your point is not a way for you to have fun. And for that reason, I have to stop you!’’ James presses the button and the jetpack launches in full speed towards him.

‘’Nice try. But I’m not that kid anymore!’’ Alex shouts as he flicks his finger, James suddenly stops, he is now in slow motion. Alex smirks as he flicks it again, making James fly away and smash into multiple buildings

‘’Oh, and they are loaded with explosives!’’ Alex grins. The buildings in which James smashes into explode rhythmically, sending him flying away, bleeding and burnt.

James lands on the road, using his feet and legs to stop land, but it makes him slide and screech. He pants heavily, already regenerated; he looks at his hand which is filled with burns. ‘’That’s why I don’t like regenerating.’’ He thinks.

‘’Still think you can kill me?’’ Alex asks as a large red beam shoots out of nowhere, James turns around and jumps. Another beam shoots on to him, and he turns on his jetpack, blasting him in the sky, ‘’Of course, I will.’’ He shouts.

Alex forms his hands with red orbs, ‘’Fine then. Let’s have some fun.’’ James nods, turning the jetpack to max, he blasts in full speed towards Alex, the force of the impact, shattering buildings in the process. Alex drops the red beams, which makes the whole area explode, illuminating red energy in the sky. James flies towards Alex with the jetpack, kicking him, making Alex fly and land using a flip, he shoots red beams from his hands which James dodges, using the buildings, he spins and kicks Alex, but he blocks it with a red shield. He then spins around and sends James flying away, like a Frisbee, smashing buildings and exploding them, he shoots out of the sky on towards Alex, but he reduces his size, making James hit the hard floor.

‘’C’mon!’’ James shouts in frustration, he tries catching Alex, but he small. He runs around, faster than ever, James uses his jetpack on the ground to blast him forward, he now glows with a purple aura, and spins around, hitting Alex repeatedly while he is also in a red aura blocking, flipping, and also hitting. The impact sends multiple shockwaves, shattering buildings and roads, sending them flying. James forms large purple orbs from his hands, and Alex forms large red orbs from his hands as well. Alex throws the both of his, while James mixes the two and smashes them on the ground, making the road glow purple and then form a large purple explosion, sending Alex away screaming. James then blasts using the jetpack, Alex shoots multiple red webs and tendrils, which James dodges or explodes them forward, Alex then lands on the ground, and James repeatedly punches his him, his arms growing stronger in the process and getting faster. Alex also punches him repeatedly, they both screams.

‘’Alex! You’re through hurting people!’’ James shouts as he continues punching, ‘’James! You’re the worst brother!’’ ‘’I know!’’ James shouts on top of his lungs. They both charge their punches with their respective energies and deliver devastating final punches to both of their chests, forming a large red/purple explosion, sending them away, hitting the exploding cities, and cracking some of the barrier.

James is on the ground, bleeding heavily, burnt. His muscles torn. Alex is on the ground, panting heavily, bleeding and burnt. Alex’s eyes flash red as he stands up slowly and scans him, ‘’Brother…You are dead.’’

In an instant, he blasts away, like a red missile, exploding through the cities. James slowly stands up, about to press a button, but finds the jetpack Is broken. ‘’No.’’ He says shocked, the jetpack drops on the ground.

‘’No, No, No, No.’’ He tries getting it but detects Alex from somewhere, ‘’No time.’’

James blinks his eyes and Alex is already in his face, he kicks but James ducks, Alex spins around, but James ducks and flips, panting heavily.

‘’Finally, your toy is broken. It was making me sick!’’ Alex shouts in anger. ‘’The person who made it must have been an idiot. I haven’t even revealed my final form yet.’’

‘’You’re wrong!’’ James shouts, ‘’The person who made it is one of the best inventors there ever is. I won’t allow you to insult her like that!’’

‘’Oh, then why did it break?’’ Alex taunts him, pressing the ground, ‘’That’s enough games. It’s time to— ‘’

Alex gets blasted away into buildings which explode. It’s revealed James is like a purple missile on his chest, they both explode, and are on separate buildings. Alex is on a top building, while James is down.

‘’You really are cool, big bro.’’ Alex grins, running and jumping, injured. ‘’And you are overwhelmingly strong, younger brother!’’ James shouts, jumping. He shoots a purple beam at him, but Alex dodges and shoots two red orbs, which explode the buildings.

James is already running, his leg torn but still keeping up. ‘’You did a nice job ruining my hiding place, which is Onyx by the way. The whole metropolis is trashed.’’

‘’What a terrible name!’’ James shouts as he leaps towards him, they explode themselves into the air, fighting, ‘’Just give up, Alex, give up!’’ James shouts as he repeatedly headbutts him.

‘’That’s lame. I expected something better from you, ‘’headmaster.’’ Alex touches James’s chest and his whole-body flashes red, multiple red tendrils shoot out from James’s chest, making him scream.

‘’We are close to your death!’’ Alex exclaims as he throws James on the ground, bleeding. Alex drops and smashes his head on the ground, he touches his back, ‘’I broke your purple mist. And now it’s time to break your purple energy!’’ He shouts, grinning. His face manic.

However, James stands and grabs Alex by the throat, ‘’No. You can’t.’’ His voice is weak. Alex tries getting out and clutches James’s hand, making his body explode with tendrils again.

‘’That’s a cheap trick, little brother.’’ James coughs, his voice getting weaker. Suddenly Alex’s power is gone, ‘’There. I’ve taken control of your body. Now please stop this.’’

James swings Alex into multiple buildings, making them explode as he screams is agony. James’s body is filled with cuts, tendrils stuck, blood, and red residue. ‘’I…’’ He stumbles. ‘’Did I….’’

He drops to his knees, voice weak, ‘’Is he…gone?’’
