The months following the dual celebrations of Reyansh and Tanishka’s engagement and Kavya’s pregnancy announcement moved with a beautiful, rhythmic grace. Mumbai’s relentless pace seemed to soften whenever the family gathered within the walls of the estate. While the wedding preparations for Reyanshka were quietly being mapped out by the elders, the immediate focus of the household shifted toward pampering Kavya, who was carrying the first grandchild of the new generation.
By the time the season turned, Kavya had entered her final trimester. The Mehara mansion was transformed for her grand Godh Bharai (Baby Shower), an intimate but lavish traditional affair. The entire pavilion was draped in soft pastel hues of peach and mint green, decorated with fresh strings of white lilies and fragrant tuberoses.
Tanishka stood near the entrance, her "beauty and brains" fully directed toward organizing the arrival of the guests and managing the schedule. She wore a sophisticated crimson georgette saree with a delicate mirror-work border, her long hair pinned back in an elegant half-up style. As she watched the family gather, she felt a strong, warm hand slide around her waist from behind.
"You've been checking that guest manifest for the last twenty minutes, Tanu," Reyansh murmured into her ear, his deep, smooth voice instantly melting away her organizational stress.
He was dressed comfortably but elegantly in a structured silk kurta in a deep charcoal grey, completely relaxed in the family setting. The guarded, distant billionaire mask he once wore had completely dissolved whenever he was in her presence.
Tanishka leaned back against his broad chest, a soft, radiant smile lighting up her face. "I just want everything to be absolutely perfect for Kavya Bhabhi, Rey. Aarush Bhai has been pacing the corridors since 6:00 AM."
Reyansh chuckled softly, his grip tightening protectively around her waist. "Aarush is just experiencing the standard operational panic of a first-time father. Let the elders handle him. Your only job today is to stand next to me."
Down in the center of the pavilion, Kavya sat on a beautifully decorated floral swing, looking absolutely radiant in a heavy pink Kanjeevaram silk saree, her pregnancy glow illuminating the entire room. Aarush stood right beside her, holding a glass of fresh coconut water, completely attentive to her every movement. One by one, Maa and the elder matriarchs walked up, placing auspicious items into Kavya's lap, performing the traditional aarti, and applying a gentle streak of vermilion to her forehead while singing traditional blessing songs.
The Festive Platter
As the afternoon rituals concluded, the celebrations transitioned toward the grand dining hall, where a completely fresh, specialized North Indian celebratory menu had been curated by Maa and the family chefs, keeping the flavors entirely distinct from previous chapters.
The hall was filled with the mouth-watering, festive aroma of Dum Aloo Kashmiri, the baby potatoes slow-cooked in a rich, spiced yogurt gravy, alongside a grand handi of creamy Dal Makhani Dhaba-style, simmered overnight with white butter. Baskets of hot, fluffy Bhaturas and crisp, layered Pudina Parathas were brought out straight from the tandoor. In the center sat a colorful platter of Navratan Pulao loaded with paneer cubes, garden-fresh vegetables, and fried nuts. For the sweet finish, the dessert counter featured massive bowls of warm, golden Suji Ka Halwa topped with silver vark and a chilled layer of rich Kesari Rasmalai.
Advik Roy sat near the center of the long table. Having wrapped up his morning patrol at the precinct, the sharp ACP was completely off-duty, dressed casually in a comfortable tan polo shirt and dark denim. His sharp, analytical eyes were filled with an easy, warm contentment as he enjoyed his meal alongside the younger cousins.
"The security perimeter around the estate is perfectly clear, Chachi," Advik said to Maa as she walked past ensuring everyone was eating. He looked across the table at Reyansh and Tanishka, a classic, dry brotherly smirk playing on his lips. "Enjoy the quiet family functions while you can, Mehara. Once the actual wedding invitations for you two hit the high-society circuits, we’re going to need a full police division just to manage the media."
"Let them try, Advik," Reyansh replied smoothly, his eyes locked onto Tanishka with an absolute, quiet vow. "The fortress around Tanu doesn't have a single crack."
The Arrival of Aarvik
The gentle warmth of the baby shower gave way to a night of high-stakes reality just a few weeks later. In the quiet, early hours of a rain-washed Tuesday morning, Kavya went into labor. The entire family moved in a synchronized, silent unit to the private wing of the City Hospital.
Hours ticked past in the waiting lounge. Aarush paced the polished floorboards, his hands clenched, while Maa silently counted her prayers. Reyansh stood like an immovable rock near the window, his arm wrapped securely around Tanishka’s shoulders, drawing her close to keep her grounded as her analytical mind quietly processed the medical timelines.
Suddenly, the heavy double doors of the delivery suite opened, and the chief doctor stepped out, a warm, reassuring smile on her face. "Congratulations, Aarush. It’s a healthy baby boy. Both mother and son are doing beautifully."
The lounge erupted into a wave of tears and profound, silent relief. Aarush rushed inside, his face covered in tears of pure joy as he saw Kavya holding their son. Everyone took baby in their arms and play with the baby. Later that day they left to Mehara mansion. Tanu took the tali plate and do the arathi of kavya and the baby then they decided to do the naming ceremony next day. Everyone got ready. The baby and his parents are looking cute together. After all the guests arrive they moved to the ceremony. They decided to reveal the name the pop the balloon game. Maa let out a joyous cry, clapping her hands as the family cheered. Tanishka leaned over the small crib, her heart completely melting as little Aarvik's tiny fingers brushed against her hand. Reyansh stood right behind her, his chest hitting a deep, heavy rhythm of absolute pride as he looked at his nephew and then down at the woman who would soon build a family of her own by his side. The circle of life had officially expanded, and the road to the grand Reyanshka wedding was now completely clear.
