James is on the ground, bleeding and bruised. The injuries making his body ache. He looks down on the road, his vision blurry, the only sound is his heartbeat ringing in his eyes, like it’s going to burst. ‘’I used too much power when fighting Alex.’’

His leg tears and he faceplants, muttering, ‘’Ouch.’’ He checks his arms, filled with multiple scars and bruises. ‘’Alex…is too…strong.’’

‘’I hope I haven’t killed him. I planned to take possession of his body to restrict his power and movements. That way I can trap him, and take him out.’’ He stands up, but drops, clutching his chest.

‘’He is smart. He made these tendrils immune to my regeneration. He is…’’ He coughs, his throat hurt, ‘’A genius.’’

He grabs the tendrils and tries pulling them out, but in the process, his fingers bleed, he looks at it, ‘’Was he trying to kill me?’’

He stands up, gasping for air. His regeneration only working on his face and hands, stitching his legs, however the chest is still intact, filled with red tendrils, ‘’These…hurt.’’

He looks up and sees the whole Onyx ruined, the buildings are on the ground, broken down. The neon atmosphere is flickering, and the sky is now dark and clouded.

‘’Was this? His pocket dimension?’’ He mutters to himself. His eyes then snap open, he freezes. He slowly turns around, eyes widened in horror. The building where he threw Alex has a faint red glow on the ground, it starts crackling and then explodes, shockwaves rippling. The shards all fly around the city, James looks in terror, ‘’Is he…alive?’’

Suddenly his hands get pulled up, red tendrils grow from the ground, pricking James’s every body as he screams. He gets covered in red tendrils, screaming in pain.

The sky changes to a red atmosphere, dark and glowing. A red explosion happens in the sky, James looks up, trying to get up.

‘’Big brother…’’

Alex’s voice echoes as he is now in the mist.  ‘’Don’t get too proud, you know? I’m not a mere weakling you can defeat in a minute. I’m a powerful guy who is leading an organization I want you to join. Your Team Aureole is getting in the way. And since, you are the one leading it, how about I kill you and show your dead body to your comrades, eh?!’’

James’s eyes widen, ‘’No! Please!’’ Alex reveals himself to be bigger and taller, like a dark silhouette with red eyes, ‘’I am the Red Demon. Remember? It’s a name you gave me when we were playing a game!’’

James looks at his appearance in shock, trembling with fear. ‘’This is my final form.’’ Alex says, his voice echoing.

The tendrils crackle with purple energy and explode, James is flying towards Alex, ‘’Enough, little brother! Can’t you see, I came here to save you!’’

‘’Saving? I don’t want to be saved. I just wanted you to be there for me. I have lots of accomplishments, can’t you see. And sadly, you weren’t there to see them.’’ Alex laughs.

‘’Your accomplishments are wrong. And also, if you wanted to burn the school, why not now?!’’ James shouts as he spins into a purple missile.

‘’Great question! My goal is more complex than you think. I’ve moved past the burning, and I want to expose it for all it’s lies. I can’t burn a supernatural powered school, can I? I need to find the owner and kill it. And I’m gonna kill people who are in my way!’’ Alex shouts.

‘’No, you’re not!’’ James shouts as he hits Alex’s chest. A large purple explosion that sends shockwaves into the sky, breaking some of the barrier.

James is on Alex’s chest, screaming. He looks around and sees, ‘’No. It didn’t work?!’’ He looks around and finds Alex’s body is still normal.

‘’I used all my energy, and it failed.’’ He gasps. Alex laughs evilly, ‘’Aw, you wanna cry big bro? Don’t be sad, you sent shockwaves and cracked some of my pocket dimension. Which is cool and all but, I’ve had enough of your games.’’

Just the energy from the chest, blasts James away, bleeding everywhere. He flies around the city, eyes closed. Arms and legs torn, face filled with blood, he coughs and lands.

And worse he lands on red glowing spikes, his body freezes in shock. The pain too much for his body to handle, he can feel his vision fading and heartbeat slowing done. He gasps for air; he can’t think properly anymore.

Alex is in James’s face, a dark crown on his head, ‘’What’s wrong? Almost on the brink of death? That’s good honestly. It means things are going according to plan. I thought you were my brother who would protect me, but instead you are trying to kill me. I wish you never existed, and I don’t think you are even my brother anymore. The James I knew wouldn’t throw me on explosives, wouldn’t make a brainwashed cult, wouldn’t play by the system like a dog, the real James was independent, caring, and you are nothing but an atrocious copy of him!’’

‘’No.’’ He whispers softly, voice weakening. Alex’s jaw clenches. James coughs, his eyes weak, he looks at Alex, smiling weakly, ‘’No.’’

He starts to sing a lullaby, in his hoarse voice, ‘’Brother…. Stop complaining, I know life is tough, I know you are irritated.’’ He coughs, ‘’But….no matter what…even if my methods are….’’ He coughs, ‘’Wrong…. I’ll always be there to tell you…. So, don’t say I’m not your brother…. reflect and see…. what I’ve done for you….’’

Alex’s eyes widen, the lullaby sounds familiar. His red eyes start twitching as he remembers a time when he was young in bed, Young James singing to him, while his mom and father watch in awe.

That memory makes Alex’s red eyes twitch more, clenching his jaw.

James continues singing, voice weak. ‘’I…. love…. you. No matter what…. even if you kill me…. you won’t forget what I’ve done for you because I’ve…. done…A lot.’’ He coughs, ‘’So…stop…complaining…. Because…I…. will….be…there…. for…’’

He stares at Alex’s eyes tears forming and streaming, ‘’You….’’ James sings the last note and coughs, the coughs continuing.

Alex’s eyes appearance cracks, his red eye twitches, tears stream, ‘’Stop it…. Stop it…Stop it…Stop.’’

‘’Kill me…’’ James says weakly, ‘’But don’t kill Team Aureole. It was your plan, wasn’t it?’’

Alex turns around, jaw clenched. But something different in his voice. ‘’You will die alone, a painful death’’

‘’But there’s no chemical or power made to kill me, you were supposed to do it here, weren’t you?’’ James asks, eyes faltering.

‘’It’s those insects I’m after, brother! Don’t you understand? I don’t need you to save me. I just wanna burn, burn, burn, burn!’’ His voice turns demonic as red energy crackles around his body.

‘’It was nice seeing you, James.’’ Alex says as he launches himself, a red atmosphere following him.

James lies there, spikes on his body. He looks messed and ruined, glasses broken, ‘’No…don’t.’’

Alex is flying in the air, red wings surrounding him. He smirks evilly, but his smirk falters, remembering the song James sang him. It feels so soft, like someone held his hand and told him, It’s alright. That thought causes tears to form in his eyes, ‘’I’m sorry…James.’’ He says, his voice chocked.

‘’Alex!’’

Alex turns around, and sees Crane on the ground, ‘’Come down here and let’s talk!’’ Alex stares at Crane, confused, ‘’I’m busy, what do you want?’’

‘’You can’t show yourself at the school, remember. You are their top target, if you show up it will ruin our hiding— ‘’ Crane gets cut off when Alex shouts at him, ‘’I don’t care, alright. You are not useful to me.’’

‘’But I am, Lord Alex. Have you forgotten about me? Showman Crane?’’ Crane says, his voice charismatic, ‘’I will be the one who will take care of Aureole, you just stay here and plan. What is it, you want?’’

Alex stops flying and in an instant, he flashes and red mist appears near Crane, Alex is now his normal size, looking burnt, filled with scars, his outfit ruined.

‘’You don’t look marvelous at all, lord. Why don’t you relax? Sharon has made you some coffee.’’ Crane grins.

‘’I’m not in the mood, Crane. Just protect the others, alright?!’’ Alex shouts, angrily, ‘’But Lord Alex. You can’t reveal yourself to the public, you are gonna get us exposed!’’

Alex’s eyes snap in anger, he turns towards him with red demonic eyes, ‘’I can handle this myself. Just LEAVE.’’

‘’But Lord---‘’

Small red orbs appear near Crane and explode him away, screaming. Alex stares at him, seething with anger, ‘’Don’t let James leave.’’

Red mist appears and Alex blasts away, leaving a burnt Crane on the ground, ‘’That was weird.’’
