Felix continued to stare at the man and contemplate. He thinks to himself, ‘I barely know this man! Should I actually trust him? He could poison me! Or he could give me the best drink ever…’ Felix decided to throw caution to the wind and replied to the tall bartender, “Show me what you got!” Hyunjin takes a second to register those words and a smirk forms on his delicate yet masculine features. It takes a few minutes but the bartender returns with a drink and a confident smile plastered on his face as if he knows something funny the other doesn’t. He sets the drink in front of the blonde. “Here ya go sunshine.” Felix stares at the man with a curious gaze, wondering why he was looking almost excited to see Felix drink it. He decides to push the thought down as he curls his lips around the straw. The splashes of flavor instantly hit his tongue and he almost moaned with how good it tasted. He couldn’t even taste the alcohol really, in fact if he hadn’t known any better he would have thought it was just a regular drink he would make himself. The drink tasted like coffee with a rich cream that made it sweet and tasted absolutely delicious. Felix looks toward Hyunjin and says, “ This is so good! What’s it called?”

The bartender locks eyes with the blonde and smirks and says, “That my friend is an orgasm.” Felix’s eyes widened as he choked on the straw making the bartender throw his head back laughing. Hyunjin's laughter rang through the bar and sent a jolt of electricity through Felix’s body sending shivers down his spine. Felix liked the sound of it and was glad he was the reason for it. It made him more determined than ever to hear it again. Felix isn’t sure why but he seems to be drawn to the bartender. He knows it’s more than just his stunning features; there’s a mystery about him, sort of like an aura that’s around him that makes Felix very curious. Felix knows he hasn’t  really socialized much with people unless it was older folks from the successful companies that his family had alliances to. There was something so different, so real about Hyunjin that Felix was determined to learn more. 

The bartender looks up from his laughing fit and says, “Sorry but that was the best reaction I’ve had to a drink all week!” Felix chuckled, looked up at the bartender through his long lashes and gave him his best doe eye expression and said, (testing his luck and flirting skills), “ Do you give all your customers orgasms?” 

The bartender inhaled sharply and widened his eyes slightly. This time it was Felix’s turn to double over the bar, his laughter bouncing off the acoustics of the walls surrounding them. Felix has never felt so alive before. He wonders how many people have had a similar experience to the one he found himself in currently. His thoughts soon disappeared as the bartender chuckled and lowered his voice so only Felix could hear him. He leans forward on the bar top, his shirt having two buttons undone and showing off a tease of skin and collarbone as he rests his elbows on the bar top and puts his head in his hands and says in a hushed tone, “Only the pretty ones, sunshine.” 

Felix’s eyes widened slightly as he sucked a breath through his teeth. He felt like all the air had been taken out of his lungs and every thought he’s ever had left his brain suddenly. The nickname absolutely floored the blonde rendering him gaping like a fish out of water. Hyunjin gave him a wink and said, “Wait here I’ll be back.”

 Hyunjin moves around the bar to help other customers while Felix comes out of his trance and watches the bartender float from customer to customer watching him interact, wondering to himself if he made all of the customers feel the same way he did. From what he could tell Hyunjin didn’t spare a second glance at anyone.  Felix the over thinker  just thought to himself he was just doing his job and he wanted a big tip from Felix. Felix shrugs to himself and continues to sip on the drink watching the tall bartender when someone plops down next to him. “Hey there handsome. What’s a guy like you doing in a place like this hmm? Are you here with anyone?” Felix doesn’t even look at the man. He doesn’t want anyone’s attention on him. Well maybe he wants a certain bartender's attention but no one else’s. “I’m just hanging out with my friends and I’m not interested but thanks anyways.” “Oh really?”, the stranger asks, “because I don’t see anyone here with you.” Felix can practically hear the lust in his voice. Feeling gross and anxious around the man, as he goes to lean closer to Felix, he moves stools to try and get away from the man. 

Across the room Hyunjin is waiting on customers more annoyed than ever that he has to stop talking to the blonde at the bar. He’s just finished taking this group of four college girls orders when a movement caught his eye. Someone had taken the stool next to Blondie and was trying to talk to him. Hyunjin didn’t know why but something felt off about the interaction. At first he just kind of looked from a distance, trying to get a feel for the situation before jumping to conclusions. The last thing Hyunjin needs is to either interfere in the blonde’s business or make the situation awkward just because he had been flirting with him. He didn’t even know the cute blondes name, let alone if he had a boyfriend or was even gay. 

Although Hyunjin was pretty sure he was flirting back with him, right? Shaking his head Hyunjin goes to his table (conveniently closer to the cute blonde definitely not to eavesdrop) and he overhears the man that sat, well really flopped, onto a stool so hard that he almost missed the stool completely. Hyunjin could clearly tell he had one drink too many and at first he thought he was just trying to get another drink until he heard the man speak.

“Hey there, handsome. What’s a man like you doing in a place like this hmm?” Hyunjin stopped mid wipe and turned slightly to hear a bit better. The stunning man stilled his movement from twirling his straw around to answer the man and said “I’m just hanging out with my friends and I’m not interested but thanks anyways.” Hyunjin slightly smirks a slight tingling of hope stirs in his chest, until he felt a sudden uneasiness as the man replied, “Oh really? Because I don’t see anyone here with you.” The smile the drunk man plasters on his face was laced with lust and arrogance. Hyunjin pauses his movements and turns his body as the blonde moves himself over to another bar stool further away from the man hoping that he would get the hint and go slink away into a dark corner and disappear into the hole he crawled out of. 

Hyunjin goes absolutely rigid when he sees the man stand up, wobbling a bit, and makes a bee line for blondie wagging one of his sausage fingers in the air clearly getting more and more aggressive towards him. “HOW DARE YOU SAY NO TO ME NO ONE SAYS NO TO ME!” The sleazy man stumbles into the bar taking a couple of customers' drinks out in the process, spilling booze and glass across the bar and floor. The man towers over the blonde who is still sitting on the stool bracing himself for impact as the man raises his hand to slap. But the slap never comes. Hyunjin grabs the man’s wrist “He already said no and you’ve had one too many. You need to leave sir.” “Oh yeah? Who the hell are you? Some worker who thinks he has a chance with this whore?” 

Before anyone can stop him, Hyunjin flings the man’s wrist away from Felix. That motion caused the drunk man to stumble backwards and irritates the man even further. Just as the man gained his balance back and was setting his sights on the slender bartender, the security team shows up and escorts him away, tossing him out into the night and watching him while he grumbles to himself about how this isn’t the last they will see of him. Meanwhile back inside the bar Felix stares wide eyed and shocked at the bartender, feeling a lot of different feelings all at once. But all thoughts fade when the bartender cautiously came up to him. “Hey I’m so sorry he did that to you are you okay? Are you hurt?” Hyunjin asks not entirely sure what to do in this situation. He doesn’t know why but he has the sudden urge to wrap his arms around him and never let him go and put him in a protective bubble. “Y-yeah I-I think I’m okay.” “Good.” Hyunjin puffs “I’m so sorry he did that to you. What an asshole! He’s lucky I’m at work otherwise…Anyway umm I’m glad you’re okay.” Hyunjin turns to walk away when he feels electricity short circuit his movements as Felix grabs his wrist “Thank you. You didn’t have to-“ “I know but I wanted to because what he did wasn’t right.” 

Felix stays for about another hour, taking a drink made by Hyunjin called a sex on the beach. Felix finds himself smiling to himself, probably looking like an idiot but also not caring. It’s a weird feeling having someone care about him. Not his image, not his family, not his family’s money. Him. But whenever he looks into the dark orbs of the bartender's eyes all he feels is safe and calm. Eventually he does have to head back home and he knows that but he wants this moment to last. Despite the fact he almost got his shit rocked by an old drunk man he couldn't help thinking ‘this is the best night of my life.’ Felix is deep in his thoughts when Hyunjin was trying to talk to him.

 “Heyyyy earth to blondie! Are you okay?” A faint look of worry and concern flashed through his face before the mask of his customer service face slipped back on. “Yeah, sorry just thinking about stuff.” “Yeah? Well as a bartender I technically qualify as a therapist too if you wanna talk about it.” Hyunjin doesn’t wanna come off as creepy but he was genuinely curious about the small blonde with a deep voice. “I appreciate it and I’d love to…” Felix bit his bottom lip, “but I think I’m going to call it a night.” Hyunjin hopes his slight disappointment doesn’t show on his face and he says, “ Of course, yeah. Do you need someone to walk you to your car? Just to make sure that dude isn’t hanging around waiting for you?” Felix paused for a moment. He didn’t even think about the man waiting around. Just the thought sent a shiver down his spine. “If you want I can have a security guard escort you to your car?” Hyunjin suggests and Felix shuts it down and hesitantly locks eyes with Hyunjin.

 “I- I know you’re busy and everything but…would you be willing to walk me out? It-I just feel safer around you…” Felix tore his gaze away and bit his lip. ‘Way to look cool in front of the hot bartender’ he thinks and just as he starts to walk away Hyunjin says, “Y-yeah of course I can! Let me grab my jacket and I’ll be right back!” Hyunjin all but leaps into the back and grabs his jacket and tells one of the head bartenders what’s going on and tells him that he’ll be back. Hyunjin returns his black leather jacket hung loosely on his shoulders as he shrugs it on. Felix is standing by the door fidgeting and wringing his hands together. A movement catches his eyes and he sees the bartender is already looking at him. 

“Hey blondie are ya ready to head out?” The bartender says slinking up to the shorter man, a lopsided grin plastered on his face. “Yeah, let’s go.” Felix and Hyunjin head out and start walking towards the parking lot and making small talk. Felix says he’s from Australia and doesn’t know many people here and how tonight was the night he wanted to make friends and have fun. Hyunjin informs the blonde that he has always lived in Korea, but how he’s visited many different places before. As they are walking, Hyunjin looks around the parking lot and asks, “Hey blondie? Where’s your car?” 

Felix looks up sheepishly and rubs the back of his neck. “Umm I forgot to tell you I just live a few blocks down. I'm not far so I ended up walking here.” Hyunjin looks at the man and says, “oh okay, right. Umm okay how far did you want me to walk? Not that I want to leave or anything I like talking to you and stuff…I mean… umm would you want me to walk you to your place since it’s not far?” Felix looks at the man that has a slight pink blush crossing his entire face as he’s stumbling through his words and he thinks to himself ‘cute’. “You don’t have to Hyunjin. I promise I’ll be able to handle it myself from here. Thank you for walking me this far. I definitely appreciate it more than you know.” Hyunjin looks down and shuffles his feet together, the forward and flirty confident bartender now acting shy and awkward in the cutest way. “Okay that’s perfectly fine! Actually umm… I had a thought and you can definitely tell me to fuck off and I would normally not do this…but I was wondering if maybe you wanted my phone number? I only ask because it would give me peace of mind knowing that you made it home okay. If not that’s okay you definitely do-“ 

“Give me your phone.” Felix interrupts as he holds his hand out for Hyunjin's phone. Hyunjin stares incredulously and gives the man his phone, slightly touching the man’s hands and feels like he got shocked as it runs through his system. Felix types in his number and sends himself a text message and then hands the phone back. “I’ll text you when I get home I promise! Thank you Hyunjin, for everything.” Felix then turns around leaving a stunned Hyunjin on the corner of the street as the blonde fades into the night.

Felix walks home with a smile on his face that will not go away even if he wanted it to. His thoughts drift to the tall dark haired man and he mentally kicks himself for not taking him up on his offer to walk him home. Part of him wanted to walk with him home and get to know him more, but a larger part of him was scared. He was scared that his family would find out, that they would look at the camera and see him somehow or that he would have gotten into trouble with his work for taking too long. So Felix told him to go back to the bar and they exchanged numbers. As soon as Felix sneaks back into the house and slips his shoes off, he pulls out his phone and looks at the message he sent himself on Hyunjin's phone. He smiles to himself and goes to message him.

Felix smiles and types him a goodnight message and then gets himself ready for bed. He takes a short shower, brushes his teeth, puts on his pajamas and climbs into bed. He drifts off to sleep with his last thoughts being the tall slender dark haired man.
