"Alright, everyone! Starting today, Afterlife Romance is switching to a shared-living system! And the location? Why, the most ominous—er, cozy—room inside my shrine: the Spirit Guest Quarters!"
Holding up my gimbal, I showed off a tiny room in the back of the shrine.
It used to be a storage room for rice sacks and expired cup noodles, but after hanging up a cheap curtain from the dollar store, I decided to call it a "dorm."
"Mr. Hyunwoo the Exorcist! Stop posing and help organize the ghosts already! We're not getting good footage here!"
Hyunwoo tossed aside his black coat and fiddled with his spirit detector in a white dress shirt.
The muscles peeking out beneath his rolled-up sleeves carried a completely different kind of appeal from Minsu's bulky gym-rat physique.
[Anonymous1]: WHOA... Why does the exorcist look so good in that shirt?? 😭 I wanna move in there as a ghost.
[Anonymous2]: Miss Shaman really turned the exorcist into her cameraman LOL
[Anonymous3]: LMAO Minsu's shadowboxing in the back and nobody cares 💀
"Minsu, Jieun, and Miss Mija! Tonight, all of you will be sharing this room together. It's time to synchronize your... spiritual frequencies. Mr. Hyunwoo, keep an eye on them. If anything happens, you know what to do—purify first, ask questions later."
"That's my job. Stay out of it."
Hyunwoo replied coldly as he set up a barrier in the middle of the room.
(Which was actually just yellow tape.)
The moment he finished, Jieun seized her chance and stuck herself right behind him.
"Mr. Exorcist, I'm scared! I feel like that gym-bro ghost and that Joseon grandma ghost are staring at me! Can I sleep next to you tonight?"
Grabbing the hem of Hyunwoo's shirt, Jieun looked straight into his eyes.
Minsu exploded.
"Hey! Lee Jieun! When we were dating, you told me to stay away because I smelled like chicken breast! You think that human lamppost doesn't sweat?!"
"Yeah, but Mr. Exorcist smells nice. Now move."
Jieun's merciless rejection left Minsu quietly seething in the corner.
Watching the chaos unfold, Mija calmly plucked the strings of her gayageum.
"Heh... Whether in life or in death, women competing over a man never seem to change. Yet, young exorcist, your gaze seems less interested in romance... and more interested in the sound of my gayageum."
Mija flashed him a mysterious smile.
Hyunwoo's spirit detector immediately began blaring.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
[Donation: ₩100,000]: "Let's goooo! Exorcist harem route unlocked! Miss Shaman, don't sleep tonight—keep those cameras rolling!"
[Donation: ₩200,000]: "LMAOOO Minsu better do 1,000 invisible squats as punishment 😂"
I tightened my grip on the gimbal and smiled.
Jealousy.
Regret.
And the spark of new attraction.
Inside this cramped little room, every emotion was being converted directly into numbers in my bank account.
"Perfect! Hyunwoo, make eye contact with Jieun for three seconds! I'm putting [Forbidden Love Begins?] on the screen! Minsu, more squats!"
Displaying other people's souls for entertainment.
Turning their tragedies into content.
Guilt?
Compared to the guilt I felt when my crypto portfolio crashed, this was nothing.
I alternated the camera angle between Hyunwoo's troubled expression and Jieun's provocative gaze.
Meanwhile, in the back of my mind—
I was already planning tomorrow morning's Wake-Up Mission.
