The Knights of Avalanches

[Volume I] Chapter 1: Blood

[Volume I] Chapter 1: Blood

Jun 16, 2026

Around a Thousand Years Ago, there was a Golden Age of Warriors. Each warrior was greater than the previous, each more prestigious. Then came the Knights--The Knights of Emotions. They were nothing like any ordinary soilders or warriors. Blades couldn't harm them, arrows couldn't scar them, cannons barely left any dent on their shiny firey armours.
But each strike of their's lasted heavy impacts of damage and widespread devastation. Many kingdoms rose and fell under the influence of those Knights. They all were given the title of: "The Knights of Avalanches" The True Knights made out of Emotions. Their armours made out of an unknown lost material, their swords were made out of a Neutron Star, burning with destructive fire.

These Knights were:

1. Ignis: The Flame Knight--Representing Anger
2. Junpei: The Greatest Knight--Representing Goodwill Nature
3. Hiro: The Honor Knight--Representing Honor and Self-Respect
4. Cedric: The Executioner Knight--Representing Bloodlust
5. Makima: The Lust Knight--Representing Love
6. Cyrus: The Moody Knight--Representing Disgust
7. Kento: The Surest Knight--Representing Purity
8. Jane: The Thief Knight--Representing Greed
9. Vex: The Psycho Knight--Representing Contempt
10. Ino: The Scared Knight--Representing Guilt
11. Tsumaka: The Broken Knight--Representing Shame
12. Dion: The Evilest of all Knight--Representing Pride
13. Daigon: The Dangerous Knight--Representing Envy
14. Ariel: The Copy Knight--Representing Jealousy
15. Aren: The Cruelest of Knight--Representing Wrath
16. Jino: The Lost Knight-- Represented Humility
17. Sino: The Betrayed Knight-- Represented Temperance
18. Ashborn: The Arrogant Knight[and] The Last Knight--Represented sheer Arrogance, Ego, and Spite.

The Knights are clad in Vantablack color armours with glowing line vizors, and use Vantablack Longswords.
The swords enveloped into flames as soon as they are held by their respective Knights.

Ashborn never liked the ideaology of his older siblings, and always had conflicts with them. Then one day he did the unthinkable. He killed his own blood.

After the Great Titan War, to recover the expenses of the money spent on the war, Jino and Dion implied heavy taxes and extreme cruelty on their subjects which was a contradictionary act of what Jino represents, so, Ashborn hunted him down and killed him. Though Dion wasn't killed because based on his formation on the Emotion of Pride and being the Evilest Knight, he was technicaly doing the right thing based on his work, so killing him on bases of nothing wrong, would have been wrong.

During the Second Great Tritan War, Sino ran away from battle instead of fighting till his last breath. He was hunted down by Ashborn throughout stars and galaxies, and even though he clearly knew that any action of killing another Knight is sololy the right of Cyrus:The Executioner Knight--he still killed Sino. He put the sword through the collarbone from behind by just being enough visbile to be in his peripheral vision for him to say that he didn't attacked from behind--and drove his sword penetrating him, instantly rupturing important vessels and tearing his armour, eventually killing him.

In the Great Council of 12 Kings, when this news arrived the atmosphere instantly shifted to sense of dread and fear. The 12 Kings knew that the 18 Knights were only under them because they found the laws of the Kings good enough, and thus, with the death of these two Knights of Avalanches, it created a vortex. A vortex of What-ifs. What if other Knights started killing each other? What if Ashborn does not stop and starts hunting other Knights as well? What if Ashborn decides that he is done with hierachy?

Due to Ashborn killing two of his own kind, he was banished from Iacon(The Capital City), and his title of being a Knight of Avalanches was taken back. That day, he earned a new title. A title that will be feared across generations. A title that is used to speak instead of his name, a title that craves fear and brings a sense of hopelessness. The Title of "The Fallen".

The world building is very interesting. Ashborn is a compelling character. I am excited to know how he becomes so feared.
