17th Ogterier, 134.
Winter began rolling around early this year, snow flakes fell gently outside my window and subsequently into my room.
Any rational person would close it but I needed it, for target practice.
I sent mana from my core and out my hand, forming my mana particles with my Mentalia right as it collided with Pure Mana creating a ball of ice then launching this ice out the window.
That was like the biggest one I've done so far, just about the size of a dodgeball.
I've been training my mana since I unlocked my core about a year ago, secretly obviously. This has allowed me to find out about my two magic affinities and their subsequent secondaries, water with ice and wind and storm.
I've also managed to gain my first ring, training with my eyes has allowed me to gain an almost sixth sense which gives me the ability to sense close mana cores or peoples mana signatures.
My mana control has also been exceptional, Ice seems to be the easiest for me to control or should I say it's my favourite to use while my ability over storm is the worst.
Pulling back the sleeve of my almost onesie like cloth and raising my right arm, I pushed mana into it causing a small coating of lightning to radiate around it, I felt my mana seep from my body quickly as the lightning thrashed almost erratically.
Then I got up and swung my arm at the window sending a small zip of lightning at it but even upon my eyes, my aim wasn't perfect and a small bit of my lightning zapped my window frame leaving a small burnt mark.
Shit, how the hell will I clean this.
Pulling out a rag from my drawer, I quickly climbed onto my crater and subsequently scaled my window allowing me to rub the black burnt mark off the wood, well at least most of it.
After wiping down what I could, I sighed and used my wind to send the rag back on the table before closing the windows and blinds and laying down.
"...You better think of a good excuse..." .
"Fucking hell, I already know this", i let out in a light whisper.
The voice from a year ago never actually left, I've deciphered that it was the celestial lord or at least a part of him talking to me, perhaps to advise me but when I asked it, it never actually answered.
I've spent the past years training, eating and finding out more about the world. I especially researched about the lords but the "common knowledge" wasn't so common, but that’s not to say there wasn’t info on them.
There are nine lords in general, powerhouses which are regarded as the head, kings or political figures of their respective races.
There was the Celestial Lord, Human Lord, Sky Lord, Sea Lord, Dragon Lord, Demon Lord, Elven Lord, Saint Lord and the Spirit Lord.
They usually all stay different in different nations and govern their respective races, they don't usually engage in fights between each other but such still occurs, extremely rare though.
Becoming a Lord is surprisingly rather simple, once every ten years, a lord festival is held where a member or members of each race can challenge their lord, trials are very open but are never filled with people.
The fear of the lords could never allow for such to happen, most lords have been at their current station for centuries. Most Lord festivals don't even have actual battles, whether it may be because of fear or admiration, I'm unsure.
The Saint Lord, Sea Lord, Dragon Lord and Celestial Lord are from what the books say "Unaccountable", the Spirit Lord is deceased and all others are within their respective nations.
The current Human Lord or better known as King or Heir, Sir. Larix Johann resides in the capital human nation, Heir, the same name as the title of the Human Lord. Only one of the three human nations including Doanzo and Giana, where I live.
The Demon Lord in the Demon territory, Elven Lord resides within Jiaola, The Sky lord stays within the Flying Nation, where the Centurians reside, a place described as a beacon of magic. Shockingly there is even one nation without any lords.
Jagan, the nation of intelligent beasts. A nation of peace and mass prosperity bustling with resources, workforce and a beacon of health.
To think monsters have a better nation than any of the others but I suppose they're intelligent ones and shouldn't be taken lightly.
This world is so large and all the more complicated so this is just what I could gather, I plan to actually visit every single one of these nations.
Sensing a mana signature coming I covered most of my body in the thick duvet and rubbed up my eyes a bit to make them look tired. Looking through the walls, I saw Patricia coming.
She's been a major hindrance to my training over the past year but at least she's no longer watching me like a hawk.
She usually doesn't come to wake me up this early though so I'm pretty sure we're having some sort of event.
After entering my room, she walked to my crate and picked me up before shaking me gently in an attempt to wake me up. After a few seconds of this, I opened my two year old eyes again and stared at her deadpan.
"Good morning Damian, hope you had a good night's rest".
I slowly nodded.
"Great, Mommy and Daddy are taking you and Lucia out with them to a neighbouring empire so you need to get ready".
"What?", I murmured.
My baby game has had to be on point or shall I say more than on point, i couldn't let anyone figure it out.
People reincarnated into this world are viewed as curses, from what I know they're usually abandoned by everyone, turned to slaves or sent to the frontlines to die.
"We have to get you bathed and readied". Looking up she thought then said, "I think it would be better if you bathed with me to save time".
I don't think that's a smart idea, seeing naked women isn't especially decent for me to see but it's not like I could oppose it.
"...Let's see those giant boobs...", the voice rang sheepishly.
Admittedly my eyes wondered to the open cleavage that her nightgown allowed.
No, I can't be looking at that.
“Well I think I just won’t follow you guys out today so let’s just get you bathed”.
“Thank God”.
Although I could theoretically see through clothes due to my eyes, I make sure to never indulge in such perverted practices.
"...But you did it to Patricia once...".
This voice should just shut up.
I was eventually taken to bathe, brush and fitted in a small clean tuxedo and had my hair dried by her wind magic and styled it, putting my bangs to the side.
This would be my first time leaving the estate in a while, the two other times being when I went on small walks with my mother so this was an especially special event for me.
I stepped down with the help of Patricia to the main parlour where the rest of my family was, all in stunning formal wear.
While Lucia wore a similar tux to mine, my parents were much more glamorous. My mother wore a stunning black dress with stunning black gems and a white scarf that slicked behind her slick blonde hair.
My father wore a completely black and golden royal cloak coupled with a black cloth over his right shoulder along with golden watches and rings.
"Damian is all ready, sir, madam".
"Alright then, thank you Patricia", my mom replied while picking me up.
"Now I think about it, this will be Damian's first time leaving Hiset", Lucia remarked.
My father got up from a chair and turned to the doorway, "Then let's hope his first time outing goes well".
