Yan Shou was still focused on saving every penny he could for the sake of his future. He took out his phone to check his bank balance. He had enough money to buy an expensive outfit, but that cash would just vanish into thin air after a single use.

He still needed to weigh whether going to the event was truly a good idea. Looking at the time on his phone, he quickly gathered his things, grabbed his keys, and rushed out the door. Just like usual, he bought his everyday breakfast on the way and walked straight toward the classroom.

Today, Lin XiaoXi wasn't coming to class due to his demanding practice schedule, so Yan Shou was on his own. He took his usual seat right at the front and pulled out his notes to study before the teacher arrived. 

After finishing his two morning classes, Yan Shou made his way straight toward the cafeteria. He grabbed his food tray and walked over to an empty corner seat. Sitting down, he peacefully started eating his food while browsing through the messages on his phone. He also received a notification confirming that he didn't have any more classes for the rest of the day.

He poked at his food with a chopstick, then opened the university forum where notices about various campus activities were usually posted. He was just looking through the notifications when a completely different page caught his eye.

"Husband Material Fandom?" He saw a forum page dedicated to the university's most handsome boys, where students snapped pictures of them and posted them alongside their personal details.

Just out of curiosity, Yan Shou clicked on the page. Because Lin XiaoXi had a cute, baby-faced look, he wasn't on this specific forum, but rather a different one that Yan Shou had already seen before in his previous life.

Yan Shou looked through the list of photos on the page. There were numerous photos of handsome men that could leave anyone mesmerized. The ranking list went from bottom to top, and even the guy at the very bottom was handsome as hell.

Yan Shou started scrolling to look at those handsome faces. He even recognized many familiar faces on the forum as he made his way up toward the number one spot. His curiosity grew with every passing second, and unconsciously, his heart started racing with each new photo. 

He had just reached the top two, and right as he was about to scroll up to the final photo, he heard a familiar voice echoing through the cafeteria.

"Feifei, you will definitely be the most gorgeous one there. Believe me, I'm not lying," one of the girls said.

There was a group of girls surrounding Feifei. Her face had a smug smile flashing across her face, as she twirled a strand of her hair with her fingers, walking into the cafeteria.

"Yes! Yes! At that party, everyone will be looking at you because you're just so gorgeous," another girl added. 

"I know that I'm just drop-dead gorgeous," Feifei said.

Yan Shou almost puked after listening to that. 'That girl just has too much confidence in herself, so much so that she doesn't even recognize how she looks in the mirror,' Yan Shou thought to himself.

'Actually Yan Feifei's looks are not bad, but she always carries herself like she is the only beautiful person there and everyone else doesn't even have a face. Even though she applies many types of makeup, it just makes her face look caked with it, Yan Shou thought internally.

He just wanted to walk up and show a mirror to this girl, but... he was pretty sure she would still call herself 'gorgeous’ in the end. Yan Shou had already lost all hope for her anyway. So, he just continued to eat his lunch in silence.

Feifei and her friends walked to the counter and took their food trays one after another. Since the only table left was the one right in front of Yan Shou's, and because Yan Shou was eating in silence and they were engrossed in their talk, so that's why no one from her group noticed him. Feifei's group sat down at it, laughing and chatting with each other. 

"By the way, Feifei, have you decided which dress you're going to wear to that party?" one girl asked as she was eating. Everyone turned to look at Feifei, who smiled at them, then took out her phone and showed them a picture.

"Wow, Feifei!! It's such a beautiful dress," one girl said.

"Hey!! Did you notice that it's from that famous brand? Wow, Feifei, you are so rich," another girl pointed at the picture.

They all looked at Feifei with sparkling eyes.

"Feifei, can you take us there? We also want to see that performance and look around the party," one of them pleaded, smoothing her voice. "I know you are the most generous and beautiful friend of ours, you will surely help us, won't you?"

"Yes! Yes! We will always be grateful to you," another one added.

Feifei weighed the possibility, then as she looked at their faces, she nodded. "Ok, I will ask my father about this, and if he agrees, I will take you guys with me."

Yan Shou smirked to himself at this. Even though Feifei was rich and all, Yan Kun would never agree to her bringing these girls with her to any high-end parties. He had always thought that they were only with Feifei because of her money—which was actually true.

But Feifei was too blind to see any of the things that were practically happening in front of her eyes. In fact, it was these very girls who had convinced Feifei to sleep with a strange man, and Yan Shou was well aware of all of it.

In his past life, he had even tried his best to stop Feifei from interacting with these girls, but she had never listened to him. She always insisted on going out with them, and in the end, she ended up sleeping with a stranger in a hotel room.

All of these things could be called tragedies if she had been innocent and unaware of what was happening, but she was stubborn and never listened. She knew they were bad company, but she still hung out with them.

So no one could call it unintentionally being trapped, she had practically thrown herself into that mess. That was exactly what she deserved for not listening. 

But in the end of his past life, Yan Shou had still helped her and rescued her from those girls.

Yan Shou glanced at Feifei, who was smiling and laughing with her friends, a sight that suddenly brought many memories back to life. In his previous life, Feifei had done everything to torture Yan Shou in many different ways.

On purpose, she would bump into Yan Shou and then step on his things. One time, she even entered his room, burned down all the certificates, and threw away all the trophies that he had won.

But Yan Shou was unable to do anything in return. All he could do was just stay silent and let her do everything she wanted to, because Yan Kun always took her side, saying that all she was doing was joking, and as her brother, Yan Shou should learn to forgive her. That's what a brother should do. Yan Shou huffed to himself after thinking about all of this.

Now in this lifetime things will be different from before, because Yan Shou was not going to help her anymore.

"Hey, do you know that Lu Weian is also going to be there at the event?" one of them said.

"Of course! Who doesn't know? That is the reason why Feifei is going," another girl said as she nudged Feifei, who shyly moved.

The topic caught Yan Shou's attention. That name was no stranger to him, because even in his previous life he had heard that name so many times from people. They said that Lu Weian was a popular playboy of the university who had many girlfriends on his list. Because he had the most perfect face in the whole uni, every girl and even some boys admired him. He was so handsome that Feifei was also head over heels, always looking for a chance to impress him.

But because of Yan Shou's busy life, he never got a chance to meet him—or maybe he might've seen him, but since he didn't know what he looked like, he never really met him.

Yan Shou was thinking about this when suddenly he saw a notification on his phone about his part-time job, so he stood up and left the cafeteria. He glanced at Feifei one last time and muttered something to himself.

"Let this life decide what will happen to you this time.”
