Tama burst out of the rubble and immediately found herself engaged in battle with an unknown, double-horned adversary. Her mood instantly soured.

"Screw you, you damn demon. Didn't your mother ever tell you it's wrong to hit a woman?" she snapped.

The demon stared at her calmly.

"My name is Yurov, and I do apologize for hitting you. However, for the sake of my people, you must die, Cleaner."

Tama grinned and took a step forward.

Then she noticed something strange.

She could no longer manipulate the Presence of Death around her.

"Your name is Tama, one of the most dangerous Cleaners alive. We had no choice but to seal your gates," Yurov explained.

After hearing that, Tama simply smiled.

---

Meanwhile, Davonte remained trapped inside the strange void created by the mysterious woman he was fighting.

"Might I know the name of my kidnapper?" he asked.

"Names are irrelevant. All that matters right now is the battle we're about to have."

Both fighters clenched their fists as powerful auras erupted around them.

Davonte's eyes glowed a bright blue.

Without warning, he reached into the bag hanging from his shoulder and threw a smoke pellet.

The area was instantly consumed by smoke.

Davonte charged forward while the woman was blinded. He threw three punches.

She dodged.

He threw three more.

She dodged those as well.

Before he could react, she grabbed him by the shirt and slammed her forehead into his face.

Blood streamed down his nose.

Davonte immediately reached into his bag and pulled out a knife.

Infusing it with the Presence of Death, he charged it with electricity before thrusting it toward her.

Although she jumped back in time, the electrical discharge still reached her body.

She froze for a brief moment.

Davonte didn't waste the opportunity.

He rushed forward and drove his knee into her face.

Blood dripped from her lip.

A moment later, the wound healed itself.

"You're a good fighter," she admitted as the two stared each other down.

"But I'm confused. Aren't you a former Sapian who only recently arrived in this world? At least, that's what I was told."

"I'm assuming Sapian means human, so yeah. Your information broker got that part right."

"Not quite."

Her eyes narrowed.

"They never told me you were an abomination. You dare taint the sacred blood of demons with that of angels."

Davonte frowned.

"You're the second person to call me that, and honestly, I don't like it."

He reached into his bag once again.

The woman raised an eyebrow.

"How many things can that bag of yours hold?"

"Curious, huh?" Davonte smirked. "This isn't an ordinary bag. It's enchanted. It can hold around fifty items a Cleaner might need."

He then pulled out a broom.

The woman's eyes widened in surprise.

"How did that fit in there?"

"They gave me this little bag. I don't know the logic behind it, but it can store up to fifty items regardless of size."

Davonte infused the broom with the Presence of Death just as he had done with the knife.

Moments later, the two charged at each other once more.

Meanwhile, Tama continued her battle against Yurov.

She held the advantage in hand-to-hand combat.

Her fists moved at incredible speed, striking faster than the eye could follow while effortlessly dodging Yurov's attacks.

Then she struck six precise points across his chest.

Yurov immediately noticed something was wrong.

His wounds had stopped healing.

"You... What did you do to me?!" he shouted, fear creeping into his voice.

Tama's smile widened.

"I blocked your gates. Now neither of us can use the Presence of Death."

The killing intent radiating from her was overwhelming.

Combined with the terrifying smile on her face, it was enough to make Yurov lose his nerve.

Without another word, he turned around and ran.

Tama picked up a sharp piece of broken glass.

Then she chased after him.

Meanwhile, Sai and Yukei remained hidden inside a dark hotel room.

"Oh man, I don't wanna die like this," Sai muttered nervously. "We were literally just playing cards when that psycho kid showed up."

Earlier, after arriving at the hotel, Tama and Davonte had gone up to the roof to talk.

Yukei dragged Sai to a nearby restaurant.

"Come on, gloomy guy. You're buying me food," she said.

Sai nervously blushed and stuttered while trying to respond.

As they sat eating, Sai quietly listened to Yukei talk.

Then a strange child approached their table.

"Excuse me. Are you Cleaners?"

Yukei proudly nodded.

"That's right."

The moment she answered, Sai's expression changed.

Without hesitation, he jumped onto the table, grabbed Yukei, and leapt through the restaurant window.

An invisible force shot through the area they had been sitting in.

Sai looked back through the shattered glass.

Everyone inside the restaurant was dead.

His eyes widened.

Yukei's leg had been severed.

Ignoring her screams of pain, Sai grabbed her and sprinted back toward the hotel.

Back in the present, Davonte was covered in blood.

Still trapped inside the strange void, he collapsed onto the floor while gripping the two broken halves of his broom.

"For someone with such a loud mouth, you're awfully weak," the woman said.

She walked over to him and grabbed him by the hair.

Then, without warning, the white void vanished.

The next thing she knew, they were back on the hotel rooftop.

She slammed Davonte's face into the ground.

"Oh my. I guess ten minutes have already passed."

She smiled.

"Honestly, I'm surprised you lasted this long."

Davonte's vision blurred.

He could feel himself losing consciousness.

Then he heard a man's voice.

Calling his name.

"I'll lend you my power. Just call upon me."

Davonte struggled to stay awake.

"But I don't even know your name..."

The voice chuckled.

"Oh? You still have some fight left in you," the woman said.

Davonte slowly rose to his feet.

Then his eyes widened.

A name surfaced within his mind.

"Your name is..."

A brilliant light exploded from his body.

"...Raphael."

The broom in his hands shone brightly before disappearing.

In its place appeared a pair of combat gloves.

His clothes transformed as well.

A black biker-style outfit covered his body, accompanied by a long-tailed jacket bearing the Cleaners' emblem on its back.

Davonte stared down at himself in silence.

For a moment, he simply smiled.

Then he whispered,

"This brings back memories."
