Too late to let it go

Table full of trouble [continued]

Table full of trouble [continued]

Jun 18, 2026

Food arrived.
Chopsticks moved.
No one was relaxed.
Tua was eating like nothing in the world mattered.
A little sauce had gotten near the corner of his lip.
Mark noticed immediately.
he reached out.
''Don't move,'' Mark said calmly.
Tua froze.
''...Why?''
Mark gently wiped the corner of Tua's lip with a nakpin.
Simple motion
Not big deal for Tua.
But the air changed.
Arnold noticed.
Immediately.
His hand paused mid-air with his glass.
Just for a second.

Ohm saw it.
And smiled slightly to himself.
Tua blinked.
''Oh.Thanks''
Mark nodded once.
''...Eat properly.''
Tua continued eating like nothing happened.
Completely unaware.
But Arnold didn't look away.
His expression stayed neutral.
But his attention narrowed slightly.
Ohm leaned back in his chair.
Casual.
But watching everything now.
Perfect, he thought.
Mark was calm again, eating normally.
But now he was slightly closer to Tua than before.
Arnold noticed that too.
Tua reached for water.
Almost knocked it slightly.
Mark lightly steadied the glass before it tipped.
''...Careful,'' Mark said quitely.
Tua laughed.
''I'm Fine.''
Mark didn't argue.

Just stayed close enough that ''fine'' didn't matter.
Across the table-
Ohm slowly looked at Arnold.
Arnold was still.
Observing.
But his gaze had not shifted away from Tua for a while.
Ohm titled his head slightly.
So you do notice everything..
He leaned in a little toward Arnold.
Casual voice.
''...You're very quiet.''
Arnold didn't look at him.
''...usually I am.''
''Oh,'' Ohm said lightly.
''But not always around certain people,Right?''
Silence.
Mark looked up at Ohm.
Warning look.
Don't start.
Ohm smiled.
Didn't stop.
Just shifted his attention back to the table.
Tua was talking again, unaware.
''This place food is actually good.''
Mark nodded.
''Eat more.''
Tua pointed at him.
''You act like my mother sometimes.''
Mark calmly:
''Then listen like a good child.''

Tua gasped.
''Oh wow.''
Ohm laughed quietly.
But his eyes went back to Arnold.
Arnold finally spoke.
''....You tow are close.''
Mark paused.
Then replied calmly.
''...We work together.''
Arnold didn't respond immediately.
Just looked at them both again.
Ohm noticed That silence.
And smiled faintly to himself.
Interesting.
Tua was still eating, completely unaware of What's going around him.
And somehow-
the table had turned into something no one eles at the restaurant could understand.
