Crane stands in front, defending Alex. He stands tall and protective, arms wide. The whole courtyard is lit with fire, cracks, and destruction. Team Aureole watches from the bushes in shock, they can’t believe this is happening.

‘’What is this extra doing now?!’’ Charlie shouts, grabbing his fire gun. ‘’Charlie, calm down!’’ Sage shouts at him.

‘’How can I calm down? We are so close to winning and then this person shows up, we are going to fail if we don’t get rid of him!’’ Charlie starts walking. The others shout, trying to stop him. But no one can reach him, Charlie is already walking.

‘’Go to hell!’’ Charlie aims the gun at Crane, and pulls the trigger. Multiple fireballs release in rapid succession. However, he hears a voice from the sky, a soft voice.

‘’ Cultivez mes jolies racines’’

Charlie looks up, confused. ‘’What the hell?’’ the ground rumbles and a large root blasts Charlie into the sky, screaming. ‘’What the hell is going on?!’’

The root blossoms into a pink flower and swallows Charlie. His fireballs also turn into petals that land on the ground. It’s revealed the person is Sharon, who is wearing a flowery dress, and pink sunglasses. A small petal on her head.

‘’Bonjour, handsome.’’ She says, her voice slow and soft.

Team Aureole all looks up in shock, ‘’Charlie!’’ Sage runs after him. The flower then turns around and shoots Charlie at Sage, Sage grabs Charlie like a basketball, ‘’This is nothing for my metal body.’’

Charlie is covered in pollen and honey, looking weak. ‘’I’m gonna…kill…her.’’ He says in a raspy voice. ‘’Don’t worry, we will solve this. We just need to get that Root Burner out of the picture.

‘’That French stench thwarted my plan. Let’s kill her.’’ Charlie says, weak. ‘’I don’t know, flowers smell good.’’ Sage looks at him.

‘’I hate flowers, I hate pollens, I hate honey, I hate everything related to that scent!’’ Charlie shouts in anger. He turns around, growling, looking at her. ‘’I won’t forget you. I will never forget you.’’ He says darkly.

‘’I wonder how Theo and James are holding up, though.’’ Chloe steps up, her body turning red, ‘’Ow. I shouldn’t have overused my power.’’

Sharon stands on the flowers and turns to Crane, ‘’Monsieur Crane. Get Alex out of here.’’ Crane turns to her and nods, ‘’Got it!’’

‘’I won’t let you escape, Alex!’’ James shouts as he is still a missile, flying towards Alex. Alex turns to him, still shocked that he was saved. However, James gets blocked by large BOOM. Sending shockwaves. He turns and finds Crane holding a drum to his hand, ‘’I won’t let you near Lord Alex. You know why? Because we’re a family.’’

Alex’s eyes widen, ‘’Family.’’ He thinks. ‘’Let us leave and scheme in piece for once!’’ Crane shouts as he hits the drum again.

A large BOOM happens, sending James flying away in full speed, hitting the bushes and the trees, causing a large purple explosion.

Theo, who was on the ground unconscious, wakes up, ‘’James!’’ He shouts and stands up, blood dropping on the ground as he runs. However, a root grows and a flower swallows him.

‘’Die, sir.’’ Sharon says softly as she makes the root grow. Multiple plants fly around, and the flowers hit the one where Theo is, making him scream muffled.

It’s about to gulp him but a large explosion happens. Charlie flies in, fire around his body, holding his fire gun, his eyes are bloodshot, ‘’Let him go, idiots!’’ He shouts darkly. He pulls the trigger and multiple fireballs release rapidly, destroying the roots and the plants, they all fall down, weak. Sharon is shocked, ‘’Oh, no. This boy is strong?’’

A fire trail spins around the whole area where the plants are, and slices all of them in a second, Theo gets freed out and drops on the ground. Covered in pollen and honey.

Sharon releases more roots, but they all slash and explode. Multiple fireballs blasting at Sharon, using roots to block them.

Embers and sparks surround the battlefield. And embers are on Charlie’s face, as he screams.

‘’Those who thwart my attacks never see the light of the day, you hear me!’’ He releases more fireballs at her, the roots and flowers all explode.

‘’I can’t handle this anymore. If a monsieur like him is strong, then he is going to be a problem for us.’’ Sharon shouts, panicked. ‘’I underestimated you.’’

‘’You’re damn right, you did!’’ Charlie shouts, grinning. Now in the air near her, he swings his arm with fire and charges at her, Sharon gasps and releases more roots, but they all glow fire and die out. Charlie is now near her face, grinning. ‘’Say, goodbye.’’

Sharon covers her face in fear, ‘’I’m sorry, Lord Alex.’’

Charlie is about to blast her with fire but Theo shouts his name.

‘’Charlie!’’

Charlie turns to him, shocked. ‘’Look out, behind you!’’ Theo shouts, his voice hoarse.

Charlie is confused, ‘’Huh?’’

A knife pierces through his chest, Charlie screams in pain. And passes out. It’s revealed Crane is behind him, holding the knife, ‘’Leave my comrade alone, you immoral bastard!’’

A large BOOM is heard, and Charlie flies away, passed out, blood on his chest.

‘’Why would you hit a girl like that?!’’ Crane shouts in anger. Sharon looks at him, blushing lightly, ‘’You saved me.’’

‘’Don’t mention it.’’ Crane throws the knife away, ‘’Let’s get of here, right now. Alex is in a forcefield.’’

Sharon nods, and forms multiple roots, they all jump on them fast.

‘’Don’t let them get away!’’ Sage shouts as he runs. ‘’Right!’’ Theo nods, holding Charlie. Chloe runs to him and touches Charlie’s heart, ‘’He is still alive. I’ll heal him.’’

‘’Thanks, Chloe.’’ Theo stands up, and blasts in full speed. ‘’Alright, so here is the plan. I’ll shoot you in the air, so you can punch those guys out, got it?’’ Theo asks. Sage nods, ‘’Roger that. I’ll make sure to use the hardest punch I got!’’

Theo grabs Sage, and they both fly in full speed. Theo’s jet boots set to maximum, he then throws Sage at Crane and Sharon, panting heavily. Crane and Sharon turn around and see Sage behind them, ‘’No one escapes the metal god!’’

He spins and is about to kick them, but Crane presses his drum, and Sage is sent flying, shouting, ‘’I missed!’’

Theo is floating, shocked. He looks at them, thinking. ‘’Alright, so flower and drum…Wait. I can’t think. There is no time, if I don’t do something, then they will escape. How can I reach them?’’

Theo blasts towards them in full speed, he sees a root in front of him and touches it, sliding on it, avoiding the spikes. He sees another root and climbs on it, he sees another root and flips, sliding.

‘’I have to kick them!’’ Theo thinks as he redirects all his energy into his leg. He blasts, and Crane turns around, using his drum to fly Theo. However, Theo dodges the air pressure, flipping. Using sense of sight to predict their moves. Every amount of air pressure, Theo flips, ducks, and dodges. Crane gets frustrated, ‘’Sharon. This guy knows our next move, what should we do?’’

Theo is already in front of them, ‘’That’s enough!’’ He kicks them but his jet boots stop working, ‘’What?’’ He shouts, confused. They then explode and Theo drops on the ground, screaming, ‘’How did they stop working…Is it because...?’’

He looks down and sees his legs covered in honey, ‘’Wait. Did she plan this all along? Did she make sure the honey made my boots stop working? It can’t be possible, right? I failed. This whole operation was a failure. I was supposed to catch one of them, any of them, but instead, I forgot about what they could have done. This is all my fault, If I hadn’t kept my body in check then this would have never happened.’’

He clutches his fist, ‘’But I’m still not giving up. Even if my jet boots are busted, I can still use my energy. I have to ignore every pain in my body and at least get one of them. I can do it. I have to push my limits, make my heart beat faster. I don’t care about self-destructing anymore, as long as I get them.’’

‘’You’re not getting away!’’ Theo shouts in anger. Blue energy crackles around his body, his legs flash white, his arms flash white, and his eyes flash blue, ‘’It’s over!’’

He blasts at them, like a missile. He breaks the roots in which they are running away, they all explode with blue energy, Sharon and Crane are shocked. They all drop on the ground, but Sharon forms a root in which they can hold on to.

‘’Thanks, Sharon.’’ Crane says, sweating.

‘’Thanks for creating an opening.’’ Theo says darkly. They all look up, ‘’He wasn’t talking to you!’’ Sharon shouts.

Theo is holding on the root, his fists white. ‘’Tell me, how many of you are there? What games are you planning?’’

‘’We can’t tell you such information. Why don’t you leave our group alone?’’ Crane shouts angrily.

‘’I will never. Not until I hear your goals!’’ Theo punches Crane, making him scream. Crane blocks with his drum, but Theo’s fist is still on his face. He screams, ‘’Tell me!’’ The fist getting deeper. Crane shouts, trying to block, ‘’Never!’’

They both scream in anger, Theo’s hair turning blue. Blue energy crackles around Crane’s body.

‘’Die!’’ Crane screams. ‘’Never!’’ Theo replies.

A large root blasts towards Theo, it’s petals open and it swallows Theo, gulping him. Sharon pants heavily, ‘’I saved you Crane. Did I get rid of him? He was so annoying.’’

‘’Yes, indeed, he was annoying.’’ Crane’s face is burnt, his nose bleeding. ‘’Are you alright?’’ Sharon asks.

‘’Yes. It’s just…that boy is strong, especially for being a newcomer.’’ Crane says, weak.

‘’He is a newcomer?’’ Sharon asks, curious. ‘’That’s what Alex told me. He warned me about his speed, parkour. And his ability to predict. He is a threat.’’

‘’I guess I’m the biggest one, ey?’’

They all turn around in shock, they see James holding Theo behind his back. James looks at them, smirking, ‘’On a scale of one to 10, how would you rate my scariness?’’

Sharon and Crane tremble in fear. ‘’J-J-James.’’ Sharon says in fear. ‘’Do we stand a chance?’’ Crane asks.

James warps out of the area, and is behind Crane and Sharon, ‘’I guess you are mid rank Root Burners? You are weaklings. You are no real deal.’’

‘’James.’’ Theo says weakly. James turns to him. ‘’Be aware of the flower girl. She is unpredictable and her pollen has some…poison.’’ Theo says weakly.

‘’Are you poisoned?’’ James asks. ‘’I guess. I don’t think she’s a mid-rank.’’ Theo coughs. ‘’Then we are screwed.’’ James admits. He cracks the both of them, disabling their power. ‘’But not so screwed because I can disable— ‘’

A plant is behind them with petals, ‘’Wait, didn’t I disable her power?’’ James is confused. ‘’Theo. Can you still move around and use blue energy?’’

‘’Yeah, but my energy is getting weaker due to the poison.’’ Theo says, weakly. ‘’Alright, you should take Crane away!’’ James shouts as he blasts with a purple aura, shooting multiple beams at the plants.

Theo grabs Crane and blasts away, leaving blue trails, ‘’If I get the flower girl, then the plants will follow me. I don’t want to risk that.’’ He thinks. He dodges some of the roots and uses his legs to land on the ground, blue shockwaves rippling.

He pants heavily, and starts running inside the school but freezes near the door, when he sees Alex behind him, ‘’Where do you think you are going with my pawns?’’ Alex asks darkly.

‘’Alex.’’ Theo whispers. ‘’Stop being a coward.’’ Alex is confused, ‘’What?’’

‘’Even if you try dodging and running away, you can’t escape my arm. A day will come where I will know what you do and face you, you will see. Alexander Kim.’’

Theo says determined. Alex’s eyes widen and his jaw clenches, he blasts at Theo, ‘’You brat!’’

Crane kicks Alex away into the swirling portal. ‘’Go, Lord Alex.’’ Crane says weakly.

Alex’s eyes widen, he screams, ‘’Crane!’’ Before getting sucked into the portal. James continues blasting the plants with his multiple beams. He blasts and dodges a root launching towards him, he flips and blasts a root, before Sharon falls into a portal screaming. The plants all disappear and James bounces on the ground, hurt.

‘’At least we got one.’’ Theo runs to him, holding an unconscious Crane.

James nods, ‘’Yeah. At least we did.’’ He looks around as rain drops on them, ‘’At least we did.’’
