[BL]Threads Re-spun: A Second Chance at Chaos

Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Jun 21, 2026

The line went dead before Yan Shou could object.

Yan Shou looked at his phone, a helpless but genuine smile forming on his lips. Lin XiaoXi was the only person who had ever truly helped him across his two lifetimes—someone who genuinely cared for him without asking for anything toxic in return.

He quickly finished his breakfast, paid the bill, and left the cafeteria. Then, he made his way straight toward the dormitory building. As he walked toward his room, he couldn't help but wonder what exactly Lin XiaoXi was going to do.

Yan Shou inserted his key and reached to open the door when suddenly, everything in front of him went pitch black. Someone had thrown a heavy black sack over his head, completely blinding him before lifting him off his feet and dragging him away from the corridor.

After a half-hour journey, the sack was finally removed from Yan Shou's head. He blinked, adjusting his eyes to the bright light of the room. All the way here, Yan Shou hadn't heard anyone talking, but he could easily piece the journey together. The people who had kidnapped him had first picked him up from his dormitory, tossed him into a car, and driven straight here.

Strangely, Yan Shou wasn't tied up, nor did he smell any strange chemicals like chloroform. But when he looked around the room, he was completely stunned by what he saw.

He wasn't in some shady warehouse—he was standing in the middle of what looked like an ultra-exclusive, high-end designer showroom. The floor beneath his feet was made of polished white marble that was shining like a pure ice, reflecting the warm, golden glow of a massive crystal chandelier hanging from the high ceiling. The air smelled faintly of expensive cologne and premium leather.

The area around him was packed with rows of custom-tailored suits and designer clothes, hanging neatly on minimalist matte-black racks. Lifelike mannequins were arranged beautifully around the space, showcasing breathtaking outfits that looked like they belonged on a famous national fashion runway.

Along the back wall, a seamless glass counter stretched across the room. Inside it, lit by soft, hidden LED lights, sat velvet trays filled with luxury jewelry and diamond-encrusted watches that practically blinded him with their sparkle. On the side, a plush velvet seating area faced a grand, floor-to-ceiling mirror, making the entire place look less like a shop and more like a private lounge meant only for multi-millionaires.

As Yan Shou was busy looking around the room, he hadn't initially noticed the two strongly built bodyguards standing right beside him. Positioned on either side with completely straight faces, they were both wearing matching black suits and trousers, topped off with dark sunglasses.

Yan Shou found himself totally bewildered by the entire situation. Right now, nothing makes sense. All he could think of was that it had to be either Feifei coming back for immediate revenge, or Lin XiaoXi playing an incredibly elaborate prank on him.

Yan Shou waved his hand in front of the faces of the two bodyguards, but they didn't even flinch from their spots or react to him. Yan Shou couldn't think of anything. Lin XiaoXi was not the kind of person who would stay hidden for too long to make Yan Shou feel uncomfortable.

Seeing that both the bodyguards didn't react to his actions, Yan Shou slowly moved from his spot. He started looking for an exit or a way to escape this place, wandering around the room and looking here and there.

As Yan Shou was searching the room, his eyes suddenly landed on a grand, sweeping staircase at the far end of the showroom that led up to a second level.

That staircase was an absolute masterpiece of luxury design. The stairs curved upward in a flawless, elegant spiral, appearing to float effortlessly without any visible support beams beneath them. Each individual step was carved from a single slab of pristine white Calacatta marble, heavily veined with naturally striking strokes of charcoal and gold that perfectly matched the reflective floor below.

Running along the edge of the stairs was a seamless handrail made of polished, liquid-gold brass that caught the light with every twist. Instead of traditional metal bars holding up the railing, the staircase featured curved panels of ultra-clear, thick architectural glass. It was so perfectly transparent that the marble steps looked like they were ascending into the air on their own.

Soft, warm LED strip lights were hidden beneath the lip of every single step, casting a gentle, glowing halo downward and illuminating the path upward. Looking up, the staircase seemed to lead toward an even more private, elite VIP lounge, disappearing into a softly lit upper floor that was practically screaming power and wealth.

Yan Shou looked back at those two bodyguards, then back at the staircase. He ruffled his hair in pure frustration, thinking twice about whether he should go up or not. After thinking for a minute, he finally decided to take the bait and climb up.

Just the sheer scale of the second floor left him momentarily breathless. The space was easily double the size of the ground level, dominated by massive, seamless floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offered a breathtaking view of the bustling city skyline below.

Bright afternoon sunlight streamed through the glass, catching on the pure jade-marble floors—which easily looked like they were worth millions—and giving the entire room a heavenly, golden glow. As he walked further into the room, the floor transitioned from cold marble to a thick, custom-woven silk carpet in a rich slate gray, which completely swallowed the sound of his footsteps.

Instead of rows of clothing racks, this floor was organized into distinct, private dressing bays, each separated by sliding panels of smoked glass and brushed titanium. Inside these bays, different categories of world-class men's fashion were arranged like rare artifacts. One bay was entirely dedicated to classic, razor-sharp evening wear—tuxedos in midnight black and deep velvets, their silk lapels catching the light perfectly. Another bay held casual elite styles, showcasing ultra-soft cashmere sweaters and hand-stitched leather jackets that looked effortlessly expensive.

In the center of the massive room sat a colossal, circular island counter crafted from dark, polished walnut wood. Underneath its crystal-clear glass top rested velvet-lined compartments holding a mind-boggling array of premium accessories. There were rows of silk bow ties in every conceivable shade, gold and platinum cufflinks encrusted with rare gemstones, and leather dress shoes polished to a high-gloss, mirror finish.

Set against the far wall was a massive, three-panel dressing mirror that stretched all the way to the ceiling, bordered by soft, natural studio lighting that eliminated every single shadow. Right in front of it was a plush seating area with circular sofas upholstered in cream-colored velvet, surrounding a low marble coffee table laden with imported fashion lookbooks and a silver tray carrying a crystal water decanter.

The entire floor didn't feel like a store at all; it clearly felt like a private kingdom reserved exclusively for the topmost elite of high society, and Yan Shou was standing right in the middle, looking around cluelessly with a tense face.

Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him, and a cold sweat broke out on his forehead. As he slowly turned around, he found those same two bodyguards standing right behind him, making him jump in fear. He hadn't heard a single sound indicating they were coming up here. Yan Shou felt like he was completely going crazy when, all of a sudden, the two bodyguards simultaneously gestured with their hands toward the room.

"What!?" Yan Shou asked. "What do you want me to do?"

The two bodyguards remained frozen in their positions, their hands still extended. Yan Shou pressed his temples, staring at them in frustration.

"You want me to clean this place?" he asked. He knew it was an absurd question, but he asked it anyway just to get a reaction.

The bodyguards silently shook their heads.

Seeing this, Yan Shou looked around the luxurious room again and took another guess. "You want me to choose an outfit?"

This time, the bodyguards nodded in unison. See? Our Yan Shou wasn't that stupid after all.

"So I was kidnapped—I mean, picked up—just to pick out an outfit for myself?" Yan Shou asked.

The bodyguards nodded in unison.

"Who ordered you to bring me here? Lin XiaoXi?"

This time, both of them shook their heads, which left Yan Shou in utter confusion. If it wasn't Li XiaoXi, then who on earth possessed the wealth, power, and absolute dramatic flair to kidnap him from his dorm room and drop him into a multi-millionaire's paradise?

Before he could ponder any further, the two giants stretched their hands out again, silently pressing Yan Shou to start picking out clothes. Yan Shou was completely baffled, but seeing their massive builds, he realized he had no other choice. He began roaming around the massive space, curiously looking around the room.

Even in his previous life, Yan Shou had never laid eyes on something so wildly luxurious. Every single item around this room was breathtakingly expensive and beautiful, leaving him in absolute amazement.

‘Alright, if some mysterious billionaire wants to throw their money at me, who am I to say no? Let’s see exactly where their limits lie,’ Yan Shou thought to himself, as a wide smirk spread across his face.
