What happened today kept Bruce awake in bed. Not even scrolling through the feed of social media can drown out the thoughts about Darla in his head–and no, those thoughts weren’t inappropriate. They say something like: “Why does Darla have those circus friends to begin with?” and or “What type of girl has friends like THAT?” However, the way that he treated her is just wrong. Not cool at all. He knows damn well that he needs to apologize.
Finally, his eyelids are heavy enough to bring him to a deep slumber…
…
Opening his eyes, Bruce realizes that it’s day time. He sits up, his chest heaving rapidly as his eyes darted around–realizing that he’s not in his bedroom anymore, he’s in the middle of a colorful, flower field with Puppy Clown peacefully sitting next to him, staring forward.
“Hey you, where am I?!” Bruce panicked, unfamiliar with his new surroundings.
“That doesn’t matter.” Stated Puppy Clown, “but I do have something to say though.”
“Then say it–!”
“I will if you calm down and give me some respect, you mother fluffer.”
Bruce was surprised, yet he calmed down by taking a few deep breaths. After that, Puppy Clown got up and just stood there, still staring forward without bothering to look him in the eye.
“You know… Darla was Happy to have a friend. She was gonna show you her drawings if you could at least give hEr a chance. But you didn’t have to be so harsh on her Like that. Being mean can affect someone very badly.” Said Puppy Clown, “I, Puppy Clown, will do what it takes to keep things peaceful. Being nice is the best thing that you can do to HER.”
“A-At least I have planned to say sorry to her and maybe give her chocolate..” Bruce said softly, even though he lacks the knowledge on how to properly say sorry to the very girl who he was harsh to.
Maybe Darla felt betrayed?
“Chocolates are fine. But saying sorry to her would mean a lot to her though..”
“How can ‘sorry’ mean a lot to someone?”
“Oh… It seems that you don’t have much knowledge of… You know..” Puppy Clown frowned, “Ah I should’ve expected it. You’re one of the richest kids, and yet, you don’t know how much you hurt my friend today. How tragic.”
The alarm clock suddenly demands Bruce to wake up at a loud volume on the screen of his phone.
