A rant on the translation:
Technically, this comic/Manhua [Vegeance of the Fallen Crown 断弦重奏的旋律], should be translated to something like: “The Replayed Melody of [a] Broken String(s)” or “The Reperformed Melody of [a] Broken String(s)”
If we break down the OG Chinese:
断弦 (duan xian) = Broken String(s) (of an instrument) - Can be singular or plural
重奏 (chong zou) = [Replay] or [Reperform] / [Play again] or [Perform again] (or something similar) (of an instrument(s) or concert, etc.)
的 (de) = [of] or [’s] (it is a common used word/character described as a “possessive article”) - It can also be used to emphasize the meaning of another term/character it is paired with.
旋律 (xuan lv) = [Melody] or [Rythm]
The plurals or singulars can be either or for these character(s) (and probably most Chinese characters) so I added (a) and (s).
Of course, my translation might be off, if anyone has more knowledge on this, please feel free to tell me. (Especially on the translation for [的] (de) since it is so common a word and likely has other meaning(s) I don't know)
Overall, the translated title by Tapas has no resemblance to the OG Chinese…
